My Father's House (1975)

TV drama
–Year: 1975
–Year in film: 1930s ?
–Country: USA
–Who in bibs: Brad ~9
–Available on DVD: yes *
–I own: no
–Bib occurrence: low-
–Rating: 4/10 ?
–Rating: ****
–Comment: As announced Brad Savage (*1965) in dark Lee bibs. I think 2 rather brief scenes. One at ~43 also digging. And one at 1h25 on all fours.I think these scenes are set in the late 30s.

Also starring Michael-James Wixted (as older brother, not in bibs but nice jeans). Searching for him on Google I found by coincidence stock pics of the digging scene.

Also swimming and sitting in bathing costumes.

I only have checked this very briefly and have to re-check both scenes. I haven't noticed rear views. Script: David Seltzer (The Omen), autobiographical 1970 (or 1958) novel by Philip Kunhardt Jr. (1928-2006), I think no mentions there. There's a DVD but obviously not official. Brad appeared in several famous series, mainly as guest.

Rating ~4-(5) for now.

Update: Clarissa Explains It All

I have re-uploaded one of the pics of Melissa Joan Hart. Rating is currently just 3, but I have to re-check it and probably give rating 4 or 5.

Shortalls, but also rare long bibs, at least in s2e11 and some other bibs. I never liked this sitcom.

https://biboverallsfilms.blogspot.com/2012/05/clarissa-explains-it-all.html

I have her starring in some other post but mainly others in bibs. In bibs I think in Touched by an Angel.

Here's a clip of Clarissa and style moments in some long pairs

The Naked Truth (1995)

Sitcom, 55 ep
–Year: 1995-1998
–Year in film: 1990s
–Country: USA
–Who in bibs: Lizzy ~8, Nora ~28, man
–Available on DVD: no?
–I own: no
–Bib occurrence: very low
–Rating: 3/10
–Rating: ***
–Comment: Brighton Hertford (*Nov 1986) in rare bibs with darker front legs in s1e3 (brief scene at 1). Also a young lady, probably Téa Leoni in s1e18 (*1966) in dark bibs with open jacket (pic from a trailer) and an old man standing and sitting in s1e6.

Herford I recently had in Sharing the Secret (2000) rating 4 and Finding Kelly (rating 6, still no pics in bibs). This kind of bibs I had before in sitcoms like Gimme a Break!, Charles in Charge, and The Facts of Live.

Rating ~(2)-3 for the brief scenes.

–Country: UK
–Who in bibs: lady 20s ?
–Available on DVD: yes
–I own: no
–Bib occurrence: very low ?
–Rating: 2/10  ?
–Rating: **
–Comment: At least this young lady in black bibs or shortalls. Pic is from the official Cornelsen book preview of (Advanced) Lighthouse 2 (used by Fair use license). Production company is probably Grasshopper Films Ltd. It's a screenshot of one of the clips, obviously on the "Lighthouse 2" Video-DVD (white cover, 2023 edition). Access should be the same and also has audio CDs. (Boy is Lily's cousin Theo).

I also have this on my School TV blog with some kids (not in bibs).

The previous edition is called English G Lighthouse (Lighthouse, Highlight Headlight should be the same). I even bought 2 DVDs. Also on my other blog. My favourite ELT DVDs.

Here, I also have English G Lighthouse 3 (girl, rating 3)

https://biboverallsfilms.blogspot.com/2022/05/english-g-lighthouse-3.html

Clips are very brief. But it's possible that there are more scenes.

Rating ~2-3 for now.

Other ELT series here: Camden Road (girl rating 4),

New Enjoy English, GRIPS English (woman rating 4), GoGetter (teen boy rating 5), Only in America (lady rating 6), Playway to English (young boy rating 2), Give Me Five! Prázdniny s Brouckem

Comedy film
–Year: 2024
–Year in film: 2020s ?
–Country: CZ
–Who in bibs: woman Monika ~39, girl ~8 ?, men
–Available on DVD: not yet?
–I own: no
–Clothing occurrence: low+ ?
–Rating:  3/10 ?
–Rating: ***
–Comment: At least mom (Barbora Poláková, *1983) and daughter (Barbora Dragounová) in faded shortalls. Mom also shirtless wet in shallow water. And I think dad and an old man both in grey working bibs. And a man in red mechanics coveralls.

I only saw the trailer. Nice family camping movie.

Lady too old, girl too young. And I assume rather few scenes of the girl. Obviously several scenes of the lady who was also singing the film's song, a 70s remake. On set she also wore a long, a bit darker pair, maybe in the movie as well?

Rating ~3-(4) for now.

Correct title: Prázdniny s Broučkem. English title: Holiday with Brouck. Brouck is the name of the 1972 red Ford caravan. Couldn't be found by Prazdniny s Brouckem.

The girl also starred in Stridavka (2022) in long faded bibs, obviosly also cycling.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945)

Drama, 1 Oscar
–Year: 1945
–Year in film: 1912
–Country: USA
–Who in bibs: boy ~12 ?
–Available on DVD: yes
–I own: no
–Clothing occurrence: very low
–Rating:  2/10
–Rating: **
–Comment: One or 2 boys in simple bibs. Pic 1 at 4, pic 2 at 34 (also rear view). Both scenes are very brief. Original in b&w. Pic 1 is from a colorized 4k version.

I found that movie before and found a girl in a sailor dress (other blog), but obviously missed these scenes. I re-checked this during searching more from Ted Donaldson (The Green Promise, 1949, recently updated) but it's another boy in bibs.

There's also a 1974 version. Michael-James Wixted playing the role of Neeley there. I think no bibs scenes there. Searching more from that actor I found My Father's House (1975) with I think at least Brad Savage in Lee bibs (coming soon). And there's a musical with at least men in bibs.

For the brief scenes rating ~2-(3). Movie itself a bit higher.

Akademia pana Kleksa (2023)

Fantasy film, remake. 2h10
–Year: 2023
–Year in film: 1980s ?
–Country: Poland
–Who in bibs: Ada ~14 ?, other kid
–Available on DVD: yes
–I own: no
–Clothing occurrence: low+
–Rating:  4/10 ?
–Rating: ****
–Comment: Antonia Litwiniak (*2009) in tight faded blue bibs, orange and pink bibs with simple straps. Also sitting in orange and pink. Rather few scenes.

Another suggestion from Laurent. Thanks very much!

Pic 1 at 43, pic 2 at 1h30. Pink at 1h01. I only have checked this briefly.

Rating ~4-(5). Best is the faded pair but least scenes of that. Also another kid in black bibs.

English title: Kleks Academy. I also have the 1984 classic (boy rating 2, pic available as a 2012 post).

https://biboverallsfilms.blogspot.com/2012/06/akademia-pana-kleksa.html

There is also a 2024 mini series (probably an extended version) and a 2025 movie, same girl (and a young man) rating 4

Bow Wow (1922)

–Year: 1922
–Year in film: 1920s
–Country: USA
–Who in bibs: boy ~5 ?
–Available on DVD: yes
–I own: no
–Clothing occurrence: low+ ?
–Rating:  3/10 ?
–Rating: ***
–Comment: At least Don Marion (1917-2020) aka John Henry Jr. aka Don Marion Davis in bibs, also sitting. I haven't found the movie not sure if it's a lost movie. Pics originally from a magazine (IMDb). Probably farm setting. Dog plot.

Don Marion was very handsome but mainly made movies as a very young kid. I assume rather few scenes here due to the credits.

I like classics. But he was very young.

Rating ~3.

Slumberland (2022)

Fantasy film, 1h57
–Year: 2022
–Year in film: 2020s ?
–Country: USA
–Who in bibs: girl Nemo ~12
–Available on DVD: yes
–I own: no
–Clothing occurrence: low+
–Rating:  3/10
–Rating: ***
–Comment: Marlow Barkley (*2008) as 11 yo Nemo in long light brown corduroy bibs. Buttoned straps. I think just one long scene at least at 47-55. Pic at 47.

A suggestion from Laurent. Thanks very much! The transliterated French title I first couldn't found on IMDb or Google but with quotations.

I don't like corduroy bibs. Few (good) scenes. And I don't like this movie.

So again rating ~3.

Der er et yndigt land (1983)

Drama
–Year: 1983
–Year in film: 1980s
–Country: Denmark
–Who in bibs: Anna ~6 ?
–Available on DVD: yes
–I own: no
–Clothing occurrence: low- ?
–Rating:  3/10 ?
–Rating: ***
–Comment: At least this little girl, Anna Vallgarda in shortalls. Farm setting. I think also a man in blue coveralls.

I don't know the full movie. Found on IMDb.

English title: Land of Plenty.

Very young girl. Rating ~3 for now.
