Unfortunately only this still photograph only. Also a moving clip of 3 boys in short Lederhosen (b&w, rating 3, probably 1960s, tomorrow on my Lederhosen blog, also at 36 minutes), and a handsome boy in the studio audience sitting in tight jeans (at 1h03, color).

This part is about a question /challenge about 1964 but people born in 1964. The board in the middle shows 1970, so probably 6 yo kids (elementary 1st class).

Famous and good family quiz with host Dr. Eckhard von Hirschhausen and some celebrities.

Pic 1 at school at 4 minutes (only this headshot) and pic 2 at around 50 minutes. More scenes with the 2 girls, but I think only few scenes and scenes could be better and girls are very young.

The plot is about a scleroderma disease of a woman (teacher, hence the school scene) and it is available on DVD at a foundation. Directed by Bob Saget. Music by Radiohead.

For the brief scenes and young girls I can only give rating 3-4.

-Comment: A young boy, maybe around 10 or 11 sitting in blue bibs at the beginning of the movie. Also later at least 2 brief scenes with an older teen girl/young woman in an orange apron.

I found it by coincidence and checked many scenes of the movie. But obviously this very brief and funny scene only of this "too religious" kids (nothing more to see here).

Filmed in Canada, so probably local boys. Lots of supporting actors and teens at school, but nobody else known in bibs.

Typical (quite boring) teen comedy film. I don't like those at all. At least also involving bullying and gay teens. There's also a sequel, but I don't know that yet. I will recheck this movies the next broadcasting.

Directed by Mark Waters, novel by Rosalind Wiseman.

Although a short scene, I give rating 8 for now. (Even considered 9-10)

Jaws 3-D

-Comment: A young woman or maybe older teen girl in very short and tight green shortalls and some young men in different colored bibs and shortalls.

Had been aired 2 days ago and I have almost seen it completetly. I only noticed 2 notable brief scenes witht the lady. No good rear view and one front view but far in the distance. There is one young tall man in red bibs, 2 men in yellow shortalls while water skiing and 2 or more men in light green bibs (all working for the theme park so working clothes/costumes). Lots of supporting actors but I haven't noticed any in bibs (maybe I missed some scenes). Also lots of people including kids in tight shiny shorts (and swimwear) (unfortunately in fact nothing much of interest here). But this movie is far not as good than the previous 2 parts although in 3D. Roy Scheider didnd't occured here either.

Part IV The Revege is also on the "chicks list" (no entry yet).

More men than women in bibs. Few scenes. No blue bibs. Rating 2-3 only.

-Comment: I think at least 12 or 13 yo Italian Ciro Esposito in dark blue, light blue bibs and looks like white artist's bibs or similar as well. He also starred in "Io speriamo che me la cavo" (1992) where are at least 2 boys around 10 yo in bibs (no entry yet).

From the "missing Felix list". Aka "The Waterbaby".

Produced in 1993 there is a DVD release, which is quite rare in most countries (I found an Italian shop where it seems to be available.) The plot is a true story about a swimming African teen girl called Sarah. There are also beach scenes.

Both pics are taken from a trailer. Can't say about the amount of (good) bibs scenes.

I somehow assume few scenes, but I have to recheck it and hope for a broadcasting or more online clips. The plot is mainly about the girl.

Rating 5-6 for now.

-Comment: Canadian Ashleigh Ann Wood aka just Ashley Wood  in long stone washed blue/light blue bibs. Very brief and few scenes at the beginning only (?). She also wears a short white or similar dress and maybe a dark blue sailor dress?

From my rare movies list. I found this movie 3 years ago and recently rechecked and found it (along some others, coming soon) completely on YouTube. Not to be confused with a movie of the same year with the same title aka "The Sister-in-Law" (also a TV movie and a thriller).

She looks much older on the pics. The bibs are OK but only few scenes, mainly headshots and views from a distance only.

Movie rated R and also starring Allan Royal, Patrick Dempsey and Krista Bridges.

I don't have the time to watch this complete movie at slow speed. And the movie might be very interesting (there are much better ones).

But for overalls scenes I can't rate any higher than 4 for now. I think still not officially released on DVD yet.

Also a bathroom scenes with his bib down while his 10 yo sister is present in the bathroom as well. ( I don't want to show more here, please check out the trailer, not on Youtube, so another one with other bibs scenes embedded). Also with one strap down. At the end the bibs appear almost black but are probably the same dark blue ones.

Bathroom scenes are a good idea , but sorry, I don't like this boy actor. Probably a typical (good) family movie (but focussed on the girl). Very young boy, too long hair, bibs could also be better. Thanks again db1 for this suggestion.

Christmas movie, novel by Renée Simonsen. The boy also starred in series Jesus & Josefine (2003).

Clip "Run this Town" (Jay-Z + Rihanna cover) singing boy MattyBRaps.

I found this by coincidence on YouTube. Not bad. (But personally I prefer the handsome boy even wearing braces). Why doesn't he wearing bibs? Would be much better together.

I don't know if there are better views (don't know of any rear views). There are also lots of other clips with MattyBRaps also with other background boys and girls. Not sure if bibs or shortalls as well.

Sorry, I don't like this. Blue shortalls would be much better. Rating 2-3.

Books 33: Sheriff Ben Danny series

After reading almost 3 books (and ordered another one) I make this entry as I like these books and they are better than thought. (See also my previous book entry). It's about an orphaned handsome blond freckled boy "Danny", almost 12 yo in book #1 whose uncle is Sheriff Ben Parker. Overalls scenes depicted on 3 book covers but also there are some b&w illustrations with him and others in bibs in this and other books and also some quite good bibs scenes described in the texts. Cover illustrator: Nikolaus Moras, inside illustrations by Werner Heymann which are much more simple and different. Mid 70s. Plot is set in Arizona of the 1890s, language German.

A blond boy with wild hair first reminds me to John Philip Hogdon (on left) from Visit to a Chief's Son. I think I have to check more Wild Western books and movies and have to create a list entry of Western and similar movies with boys in overalls. (For now please try a blog search with keyword "Western"). Unfortunately there are rather few (good) and real Western movies showing boys in bibs and most of them are beige bibs. But back to this book series.

There are at least 8 books in this series. Author is "Sheriff Ben" (real name: Thomas Jeier) who also wrote another series also with girl(s) ("Rocky und Peggy", maybe with overalls as well, but I don't think so (Rocky is a boy, the later Sheriff Ben) and other real Cowboy stuff and travel guides.

Book 1: Dannys Streiche im Wilden Westen: (Pranks in the Wild West). No bibs on the cover. No good illustrations as well. Danny is shown from behind showing his suspenders but don't look like real bibs. There is an illustration of the Western Town where he lives and described that his blue overalls aren't clean anymore. The laundry shop run by a Chinese is next door and delivered the clean clothes. Danny has to pick up his female teacher at the train station and she is upset how dirty his bibs are.

Book 2: Danny und die Bankräuber: (bank robbers, pictured). Bibs on cover and inside. Sometimes in cowboy boots, sometimes barefoot. His uncle plugged his sheriff's star onto Danny's bibs. The plot is not as funny as in the first book but exciting. The kids are alone in town, including girls, and have to deal with the robbers.

Book 3: Danny rettet 666 Rinder (saving cattle) No bibs illustrations and no text.

Book 4: Danny überlistet Häuptling Krumme Nase (fools chief Crooked Nose). No bibs illustrations. Danny sleeping at least shirtless (illustrated) and stepping in his blue bibs without washing himself first.

Books 5: Danny wittert faule Tricks. One illustration with Danny in bibs (headshot) A riding scene probably in bibs but hardly to see. At the beginning Danny putting his hands behind the straps of his blue bibs. He doesn't know the answer of his female teacher.

Book 6: Danny jagt die "Schrecklichen Sieben" (chasing a gag): Danny's darkhaired friend Paul (about the same age) illustrated in bibs (headshot).

Book 7: Danny verfolgt den Goldgräber. (chasing gold digger) Blue bibs on the cover. Quite funny. the president wants to visit their town. Danny's friend Paul (dark haired) is depicted in bibs and barefoot. I don't remember bibs mentioning inside.

Book 8: Danny und die Flußpiraten (river pirates). Danny wearing beige bibs. Good illustrations. Also riding in bibs. Few mentionings in the text. Page 8 describing his looks, his overalls are bleached (not mentioned here their color) Page 60 a farm man in dirty bibs with his open bib down. Scene reminds me to Huck Finn. Exciting plot about a steamboat even on the Mississippi. Few scenes in the Western town.

Danny looking much older in later books and as far as I remembered is that he is later 14 (?) in book 7? But he's still 12 in Book 8. I have to recheck it. There was another book announced in book 8 but obviously no more published. I wonder why on the author's website he didn't even mentioned this book series. Maybe just as it's OOP. But why not mention this famous and good vintage series?



As said I like these books. Good description of the kids of this small town whose are kids of the town's different workers. Funny plots and scenes at school etc. Will be continued here.

"Overalls" in German usually means/meant coveralls. But they are overalls. By coincidence there's a reality Western series "Abenteuer Wilder Westen" currently running on channel Kika (teen girl and boys, but no bibs scenes there yet).

-Comment: At least a boy called Andi (Andreas) in light brown bibs (including rivets in the straps, scene at about 46 minutes ) and a blond pigtailed girl, also about 11 yo (younger looking, but probably at least 10 or 11, see pic below, scene at about 38 minutes)  in blue bibs. Both simple suspenders on the back. Also older men in (non-jeans? working) blue bibs.

As announced on my Lederhosen blog (rating 3) this movie had been aired yesterday. (Can be watched again online at zdf mediathek).

Quite interesting movie but few scenes of interest (also Lederhosen).

The boy is also shown from behind (outside from a distance) and the girl also running. Rural setting in Bavaria in the mid 1960s. But I don't like romances. Also showing many other orphaned kids, but I think few scenes. (I missed most of the movie but checked some more parts later).

Thanks again for this suggestion. Now, I have completetly checked this episode. Only one or two very brief scenes at 22 minutes. Also very brief showing his flat bottom. Sitting but nothing of interest.

I never heard of this series before. And it's quite funny (but sometimes boring as well). Some different families watching TV. This episode showing some unusual scenes on TV like a C-section (not watched by Louis). First I thought that he is much older and maybe handicapped.

What else should I say about him? Would be much more interesting if more or all (and other) family members would wear overalls as well. But we should be thankful for everyone wearing bibs nowadays.

I recently have seen few parts of this clip of The Buggles in a TV show.

Very good song, but unfortunately few good scenes and the girl is very young. But it could be worse and why not adding this as well for the sake of completion?

Thanks again for this info. I have checked some episodes which are now on YouTube (not in 2011). I previously only noticed one teen girl and had a headshot not showing the bibs and a girl probably not in shortalls but jeans shorts and a matching shirt.

So I found this. 2 girls in episode 9 (season 2) (pic 2) The brown bibs are quite baggy but not enough for tagging as such.

3rd pic from episode 3 (season 1?). Unknown girl in light blue bibs (full length).

And the boy Antonio (played by Niam Thomas, maybe 11-12 yo) from episode 9 (season 2). Appearing like white bibs, also sitting scenes. But he wears a jacket and I think comparing to the white car that these are bleached rather light blue bibs. Several scenes but quite bad. No (good) rear view. Sitting scene in a car could also be better.

-Comment: 2 boys in bibs in this rather short documentary (25 minutes). Available as bonus on 2002 Christmas concert DVD "Gloria in Excelsis Deo - Der Thomanerchor sing Weihnachtslieder".

One ginger boy in stone washed good bibs. Also a close up rear view, but upper part only missing his bottom. And at the end an older looking boy at a rope tugging at an outdoor party (unknown if it's a choir boy as well or relative or friend). No much better pics, but one from a far distance. I think this is quite rare. How many choirboys wearing overalls during rehearsals? Some handsome blond boys  sporting bowlcuts but there are better ones.

Rating 3-4 for this brief scenes (would be higher if there were more and better scenes). No entry on IMDb.

Schloss Einstein - episode 809

One brief scene of a teen boy and teen girl in bibs in a barn in today's episode 809 (rebroadcasting next Saturday, available online at kikaplus.

I think this is Henrieke Fritz and maybe Jacob Körner. This one short scene at 3 minutes. Also close up but no rear views.

The girl Constanze also appeared almost 2 years earlier in turquoise bibs (much better, also similar farm work, rating 6)

Info 278: Update: Mees Kees

The first movie had been aired today. Very good family movie, but only very few bibs (2 brief notable) scenes.

First pic, the girl is called Lisa, probably from Suriname and is playes by Whitney Franker. Sitting behind a table I believe that this dark blue bibs are shortalls. Not completely shown this brief scene near the end.

Another unknown blond girl in rare stone washed I think skirtalls, very low bib position. Also very brief scene at the very end. I wonder why there are this short scenes only. Most of the movie has lengthy scenes.

Good and funny movie about an 19 yo future teacher with also some serious deeper family plot and some romantic scenes. Very colorful images. Movie rating 4-5 for young age of the actors and plot rating 6-7.
