Jim-Bob sometimes wore hickory striped bibs, usually like pic below s1e10 cd3 at 28, also in season 2 cd2 at 6 and 12 (ep 8). But in s2e4 (disc 1 at 2h46, pics above) it's brand Lee. Jason also wore almost always Lee, here in s1e10 (disc 3 at 51). Another pic of Jim-Bob in season 1 in brand 15.

Another scene of teen Jimmy in Lee in s2e7 (cd2 at 2h09) but same as in brand 14.

The raw denim bibs of an orphan in s2e8 (cd2 at 3h08, Baseball, mainly rear view) are probably Washington Dee Cee. Elizabeth wore raw denim Dee Cee's in season 6. Maybe same pair? She also first appeared as 7yo in bibs in s2e8 (simple faded pair, unknown brand). More pics coming soon.

–Comment: Pic 1 from a documentary called "50 jiers Frysk op skoalle" (50 years Frisian at schools) with rehearsal. 34 kids. Pic 1 at 12. Pic 2 below from the real play. I found this on Omrop Fryslan. There's another documentary called "Anita Dijkstra oefenet foar Sipelsop en Sûkelade" (I think no bibs in that, a headshot of a boy with a strap but I think a bag). I think one of the vocalists and maybe the girl pictured. Also on vinyl (discogs). Called as Frisian version of "Kinderen voor Kinderen". But I think only in 1987.

I was reminded to a CD of 4 kids (1 boy+3 girls) singing in the rarest dialect of Europe: Saterland Frisian. 1000-2000 people speaking that. A minority language in Northern Germany. The kids are "Kleine Saterfriesen". The 2019 CD was called "Sjung mäd uus"  but was mainly used local. At least the app "Kleine Saterfriesen" is available and has 3 songs. Interesting language. No bibs scenes known there.

During research for Frisian music I found this one. In the Netherlands it's different and not that rare and official.

Unfortunately few bibs scenes. So rating ~3-4.

Brand #18: Wish You Well

 

I first had no idea of both brands. I think the girl wore brand Key. Usually they look completely different (2 angled pockets, flap on the left and a large diagonal green label (see my brand list and The Waltons). Maybe this is a style for kids, bib pockets for pencils. Also available different with additional rectangular seams left and right. There's also a (modern) Chinese brand called West End Blues. I think OshKosh also has this front design (but different rear).

The oldest brother has a removed tag which is at center and very low. I only know this from Crown/Headlight. Partial beige straps (front only) reminded me of Carhartt. More clues on the rear. A 6 edged diamond like on Casey Jones, Wrangler/Big Ben, Tommy Hilfiger and Levi's. I currently think it's Big John ("World Workers"). 

I also found some more brands including Fly's, Sledges, Whale (Pandora), Super Red Engine (Cone), One-O-One (101 Edwin), GA Blue, etc. OrSlow (vintage style but founded in 2005).

I have finished season 1 of The Waltons. One notable ep (12) of a shirtless teen boy with a white patch. Brand is currently unknown. Also another man in JC Penney's (ep 22).

and all also in Carhartt; Hub in Carhartt in seasons 1+2 (including great ep s1e6), pic 1 above from s2e6. Also rear view there. Hub in ep e31 (season 3) pic 2 and Maisey, same episode, pic 3. These 2 pics are re-uploads, were in this post. Another boy in s2e4. Bibs are probably not reused by others like in The Waltons. I assume they bought pairs for each.

Update 2: Für immer und immer

And another one from my rare movies list. I found the full movie on an hu site. Bibs aren't shortalls but long. I only noticed one longer scene at ~40-45. Also soaking wet scenes coming out of the pool. Girl (Lisa Bohm) is maybe a bit younger than thought. ~8 yo instead of 9. According my post there is a lady in bibs as well but I missed that scene(s). Also the girl and another very young girl in sailor-style dresses.

Another one from my rare movies list. After 8 years I now found a short new clip showing Sven Valsecchi roller skating in dark blue bibs. I'm sure having found previously a pic of him in striped bibs (also sitting). So probably (at least) 2 pairs.

The full series is on YouTube, unfortunately in poor quality. A bit disappointing. I only noticed 2 very brief scenes of Matt Lawrence in s1e1 (pic 1) and ep 5. With open shirt so hard to notice. Pic 2 from s1e14 a blonde boy in faded bibs on left.

I was running out of movies with boys and found it by coincidence on YouTube. 1980 novel by John Reynolds Gardiner. I only found a VHS release (there's a DVD but that's a digital book). No bibs scenes found in the book. Willie is 10 yo in there.

Set in 1905 Wyoming. Many snow scenes. Dog plot.

Some good scenes. Image quality is quite poor. Rating 5-(6).

Can't Bust 'Em (3rd) could be the brand of Ben in The Waltons, the 2nd last (Boss of the Road) with a squared pocket is similar like the one of Mary Ellen in season 1, (and Jem in To Kill A Mockingbird) but the top hole is horizontal (I found 2 other more likely brands). This is a new English course by Westermann. The DVD-ROM (grade 5) will be released in 10 days but is for teachers only. In the official school book preview is the code on page 2 for accessing all 23 clips in HD and other files like audio (maybe a mistake ?). I haven't found any other bibs scenes. Many clips showing kids and teens in school uniforms.

Brand #15: The Waltons - part 2 - season 1

 

I have rewatched half of season 1. On top is Jimmy (G.W.) in s1e4 (CD1 at 2h31). I think he wore brand Test. There's a dark blue patch with a light blue X, or maybe a replaced or removed patch. I think it's the same pair used by Samuel Miller in S4e9. (Erin probably also wore a pair from Mary Ellen).

On top right and bottom is Jim-Bob in a hickory striped pair in ep 3 (1h39). There are 2 buttons 2 '' white stiches. I haven't found holes. Maybe it's Lee. He often wore a simple, faded older pair with a half pocket on right. Maybe brand Whitefield? Or Finck's.

Mary-Ellen in ep 1 at 44 wore a 30s pair with a sqared bib pocket. (Almost like Jem in To Kill A Mockingbird). A horizontal hole on upper left. I found 2 brands, Two Horse (Levi's)?  Headlight? Her long hair often hiding parts, especially on the back.

John usually wore Payday or other with "Squarebak" from JC Penney (right). My first found (Clay Farmers) and favourite brand. Here in ep 3 at 1h45. Also in ep 5. There's a continuity error. When leaving the house he wore another pair with tag and flap, maybe Washington Dee Cee. Unpictured: 15 yo Jason in Lee, John-Boy in simple faded bibs with Boss suspenders. There are some few other men (like in ep 1+2) and Zeb. Zeb later wore Big Smith but another pair with removed tag on left. Maybe Casey Jones or Big Ben (Wrangler). –Comment: By coincidence I found a brand new teaser of O Saci (2024) pic 1. Pic 2 is a social project, clip "Chamada Chácara Queto 2023". Both from uploader Chácara Queto Oficia. There are also other years and full movies. Pic 1 is I think an official TV series according to the watermark. There's also at least a girl in a long beige bibs-like dress.

I have to recheck this when more is available. I haven't found any other clip or pics. Rating ~5 for now. Maybe series is called "O Picapau Amarelo" or "O Saci"?

No entry on IMDb. Nice bibs but boy is very young.
