The other bibs film which had been aired at Christmas. Nice Halloween movie. There were lots of dog movies at Christmas.

Mid 1920s or 1930s setting at the beginning but most of it in the 2000s. I haven't found any other bibs scenes there.

There are better movies. Actor is also very young.

So rating 3-4 but could be worse.

Had been aired during Christmas next to Beethoven's 4th (rating 4, same actors. 1 Year later Sarah in red white chequered shortalls and blue shortalls (few scenes) rating 4).

Part 3 is much better than part 4. (Plot and bibs scenes). Handsome boy actor but not in bibs (but good shorts and jeans). Maybe even better are the other supporting actresses, especially the baggy bibs in pic 2.

Good and funny family entertainment. One more movie at Christmas (boy) coming next.

Pics taken from a trailer on YouTube. I can't say much more. But obviously a typical very good Dutch family movie. I've heard of it before. Looks almost like a British CFF/CFTF movie.

Directed by famous Karst van der Meulen. English title The Gang Next Door.

Rating 6-7 for now. Probably it's worth buying the DVD or wait if it's online or on TV. Update also a girl. And the kid in hickory stripes might be a girl as well.

Next to The Paper Brigade I have this film completely on that DVDr. I wonder why I have recorded it. I didn't even have watched it from there once. Now once, but mostly at high speed (2nd half).

Only some few good scenes concerning 12 yo Nicholas Holt (not in bibs but yellow jeans), nominated for a Young Artist Award. Movie was even nominated for an Oscar. Starring Hugh Grant.

Oh, that haircut of Nicholas. Looks like the late 70s or early 80s. Plot is maybe quite interesting. And actors always a matter of taste.

Some minor updates of that show, by coincidence also starting with Kid.. like the previous entry.

The girl from Country-Sing-Along in bibs in the TV studio, episode Fun with Manners.

Also girls and boys in hickory striped bibs at the locomotive, but it's NOT the song Locomotion. All at the beginning of this episode (completely on YouTube). Also the boy with braces from Country-Sing along (on the far right). Main entry (+ some other Kidsongs entries). I still haven't bought another DVD. I don't like hickory stripes much. And most vids are on YouTube (however often in quite bad quality).

There is also a very young girl in a jeans dress I found (no need for an entry) and some boys. I think one I already have, another one in "What I want to be". But also quite young.

From my rare movies list which I checked from time to time. Finally completely on YouTube. Even a woman in bibs (not sure about her name, maybe Margaret Blye ?). The bibs of the girl (pic 2) look rather like non-jeans bibs in contrary to the cover. Bibs in pic 3 below look very rare. I had an entry before (rating 5) but with no screenshots just a montage. Also an old man in bibs. 1984.

Felix gave rating 9 and even rating 10 for part 3. Also more scenes and different pairs of bibs of the mom. I only have seen the first part completely and some scenes of the others and only like the girl, but I can't give that high rating (only 4-5)but will check the other parts more closely the next broadcasting. Update: I have checked most parts of the complete movie and only found 2 brief scenes starting at 14 minutes (was medium). IMDb now says 2015.

Very good family film with handsome Kyle Howard. Good pool scene, swim shorts, also in underwear later on the bed, good bedroom scenes (soon on my other blog). Also starring Chauncey Leopardi ("Huck & the King of Hearts", with he in very baggy bibs, rating 7) and also starring Robert Englund.

What else should I say about. Courtland Mead are often shown in bibs ("The Shining (1997)", rating 4, "What Love Sees", rating 4 and "Indictment: The McMartin Trial", rating 5). But he's even younger here.

Good family movie with a cute dragon.

Rating 4-5 for now. There is a 1999 sequel "Dragonworld: The Legend Continues" starring 12 yo Drake Bell as Johnny (also in bibs), I have to check this as well, probably higher rating.

But now it's time for this Christmas movie and I only have few movies involving snow bibs (though I'm not sure about this one). Maybe a good and typical Christmas movie. Hope for a soon broadcastingv (and other Christmas movies).

I only could find very few and rather short scenes of this boy. But I only checked it at high speed. 34 minutes, English title "The Red Balloon".

I wonder why this film won an Oscar. Generally I like French movies. But the boys are very young.

Rating 2-3. Do I miss some better scenes?

Update: Ace Eli and Rodger of the Skies

More than 2 years later I have finally seen parts of this rare movie. Eric Shea (shirtless and barefoot) and Ariana Chase in bibs. The teen girl is wearing bibs and a white sailor collar at the same time (hard to see here, soon on my sailor suit blog, rating 7). She also rides.

Also at least one other, overweighted boy in bibs and a straw hat (pic below on the far right) and several men in bibs.

Previously rated 7, I expected even more and downgrade now to rating 6. Few good scenes, at least in the first 30 minutes. Image quality is good but good scenes are often dusty. Eric Shea is also quite young. I wonder why this movie (story by Steven Spielberg) is still not on DVD. For a bit more see my main entry (previously no pics at all) at

I found it by coincidence on YouTube but only have checked some parts. Looks like many scenes in bibs. Pic 1 showing ep 7. Looks almost like a boy but is probably a girl (either Eva or Jackie, but I think Leontine Ruiters). Thin white belt (typical 80s). Pic 2 ep 2 at school and last pic from ep 1 (left girl in the background). 1973 novel by Jan Terlouw.

I have to check more of it but I don't have enough time right now. Maybe someone can check if there are maybe some boys or women in bibs as well. There is also a 2010 remake, but I don't know of bibs in there.

Story 71: Dragonfly lookalike #2

After Christoph from Klasse Segel Abenteuer, another lookalike. Moritz Glaser, who also starred in Prinz & Bottel, which had been aired by coincidence a week later after that series also on arte. He has longer hair (both characters in that modern Prince and Pauper version) which is also a good series. I always have to think about Dragonfly of the Sugar Creek Gang when I see him and remember that Moritz wearing shorter hair in series "Die Pfefferkörner". Pictured in ep. 66 (I think season 5). And in even shorter haircut in previous episodes (and a bit longer in later episodes, but I choose this one which maybe is more similar). I somehow like very short blond hair and often have to think about Russian kids like Sasha in S.E.R. - Svoboda eto rai.

There is a handsome boy in the first season of Die Pfefferkörner (Fiete) with blond spiked hair, but not as short. Sorry, to be off topic, but probably most Americans don't know him (including Kody Brown who played the original Dragonfly).

The series is not bad either, but I don't remember overalls scenes in there, although it is possible (maybe coveralls). Sorry, I don't remember all episodes of that kid's detective series set in Hamburg.

Another movie which had been aired one day ago (so others have to wait). English title "Crocodiles: All for One".

Typical family and comedy film. I don't like these modern remakes. The 1st remake "Vorstadtkrokodile (2009)" I have on my bedroom blog (same actors, but younger). The original movie "Die Vorstadtkrokodile (1977)" I have on my Lederhosen blog. Although I don't like the 70s this movie is much better.

In the remakes there's a handsome boy actor (Nick Romeo Reimann, but not in bibs). Also some famous Germans like Axel Stein, Michael Kessler, Smudo and Horst Lichter. I have recorded it and watched at high speed. Working bibs are quite good (sometimes combined with a jacket) and the teen girl is a matter of taste. In total rather few (good) scenes.

So rating 5 only.

Perfect plot, good movie. Is there anybody who haven't seen it or at least the faces of the aliens? Sometimes I think the plot is true. But where are those sun glasses?

Exciting movie and 80s fashion and hairstyle, but unfortunately only this short bibs scene. Plot rating 10, movie 7-8, bibs 2-3.

Info 258: Sugar Creek Gang actors later

I was checking again IMDb about what became of the actors and staff of The Sugar Creek Gang (rating 10). There are some new movies, mainly short movies but unfortunately I haven't found any in bibs yet (except Old Man Paddler in My Christmas Soldier). Pic showing Luke Garmon (Tom Till) in short film "Portrait (2013)". First I thought that this is his brother Josh (Bob Till). The movie was not directed by the old staff (Owen Smith or Joy Chapman).

The first who did another movie was Lexi Johnson (Circus) in the Mandie series, same staff but now called Lost World Pictures and Charley Gap Films. Also starring Old Man Paddler, Poetry and even Joy Chapman in the Mandie series.Trailers were already on the Sugar Creek Gang DVDs.

3 new movies starring Lexi in 2013. Emily Jordan also did some movies but I haven't seen any.

Nothing more of interest of the actors. Of Course some grown-ups like Jeff Rose and Adam Boyer. Nothing more from Joy Chapman. Ben Johnson also appeared in a later movie. I think that this must be a grandson of Old Man Paddler (Ben Johnson III). His son also worked for The Sugar Creek Gang.

Owen Smith directed an animated movie called Elf Sparkle Meets Christmas the Horse. Voice actors even Jon Provost and Jon Walmsley (Jason Walton). I wonder how that was managed.

According to the previous website of The Sugar Creek Gang, Kody Brown (Dragonfly) did some movies and plays before. No entries yet on IMDb. Probably short films and the like. I hope that they will be added there. Hard to find anyway as there is another much more famous actor with the same name, now at least not mixed up on IMDb with him anymore.

Another hope is always a remake of The Sugar Creek Gang.(But too late for these actors in their roles).

I'm current starting watching this series again parallel to The Waltons. I have almost finished season 6 and will watch season 2 after that.

Update: Another movie starring Luke and produced by him (with an older teen girl in shortalls is "Julie" 2016).

Story 69: handicapped in overalls - The Waltons

Yesterday I have seen the sad and touching episodes 21 and 22 of season 6 (spoiler) and want to share that story.

I doubt that anybody likes handicapped people unless they are handicapped themselves or know somebody. But what if someone you like has an accident or desease?

Pic showing Elizabeth in a wheelchair in season 6 (CD6 at 2h39), set in around 1940. I think for the first time wearing those real stone washed bibs who are quite baggy. Before that she wore tight raw denim bibs and light blue, almost white appearing bibs, also tight. She looks even younger with that tight bibs. In the first seasons she wore bibs with simple suspenders, I think. Pic 2 showing her in season 6 as well, CD5 1h12. She also befriends with a girl shortly before that scene who wears beige bibs.

I have entries about the following (blindness "Places in the Heart", "What Love Sees", and some others on this and my other blogs but I don't remember any people more in bibs, maybe in LHOTP. Of course there are many movies with other discriminated people like black. Another entry with a boy in a wheelchair Mijniki avtomobiliv.

Also some minor updates of the Jim-Bob list. I have found my favourite scene (rear view s3e19). Pic belowing showing him in hickory striped bibs at the end of CD6. Rarely combined with a ligh shirt. Other interesting scenes coming soon. Please also note the long list earlier this day. More than 300 hits yesterday, thanks! Often I have less than 200 (not including my old blog). Now even more searching for boys than girls.

Felix from the dungareemovies blog contacted me. Hi Felix. Welcome back from your long break!

There's nothing much more to tell about me. I'm just a guy from Germany, a bit older, probably older than you, and I just like overalls. I prefer males but also like good looking overalls on handsome people, see my ratings and posts for what I like and why.
