Even some more colorful bibs and other colored new bibs, some full length and some shortalls. But fewer and fewer boys. (Earlier episodes of boys Fede, Axel and else and the woman coming next). Also more bibs and dresses (soon) on the list by color.

Katrin ist die Beste – ep. 13

Some weeks they didn't show this series and I thought it's over and they have stopped it, but last Sunday ep. 13 has been aired. This is the 2nd rebroadcast, still missing ep 1-5, ep 12 and upcoming ep 14-30 which I think have mostly seen.

Unfortunately one brief scene only in three positions near the end of Robby in his beige corduroy bibs.

First lying on his stomach (headshot only), standing up (partly shown), rear view, also partly, similar like in episode 9. And the scene pictured when he turns around. The bib is not fitting tight to his chest but curving.

Bibs are quite baggy although he's tall and the overlapping straps hanging out on the rear.

Typical good 90s kids-detective-dog-movie. Rather few good bibs scenes (pics at 57 minutes. Also a black man at 16 minutes. I prefer Jay and Jake Richardson (pic 2 on the right).

Update 5: The Waltons – Season 5

Few good scenes and not much new on disc 6 of season 5. Again mainly Jim-Bob in his medium blue bibs with the long, simple straps on the rear. Quite good rear view (like at 51 minutes) but the pants don't look like bibs at the rear. Also lying under a car. Riding at 1h07 but I already have riding scenes and else of him.

Rating 2-3 for the bibs scenes in this episode. The series is still quite good (unlike all the later series) but I prefer the classic TOS. I also have one entry about Deep Space Nine.

I had an entry but no pics with 12 yo Stephi Lineburg in bibs. Now, I found the complete movie. Unfortunately 2 rather brief scenes and both are skirtalls. I have searched all episodes with him (that are available, s3-s6) at high speed, but haven't found him in bibs.

Pic 1 is from 1986 s6e13, pic 3 from s6e6. Joey's tight jeans are also very good here. In s6e12 Matt also wearing dark blue bibs, also sitting. At the intro of s6 Matt seems like wearing red suspenders but might be parts of the guitar or else.

Very few bibs scenes. And Matt is very young, so rating 4 for that only. Joey is more of interest here.

Cebollitas unknown longhaired boy, 2 redhaired

Before I post my first list next, I want to post this blonde, longhaired boy in tight jeans. No bibs scenes of him known yet. I think he's not in the team.

And there are 2 redhaired boys looking very similar. I think Nacho and Colo. I have to do more research who's who.

–Comment: 12 or 13 yo Melissa Schuhman in blue bibs. Not bad, but one very brief scene only at 40 minutes. A sweater bound over her hips. Also a very little girl, maybe her sister Kristina in blue shortalls on a swing (at around 18 minutes) but from a distance and brief either. Also kids including girls in swimwear.

My lates purchase (but not for bibs). Very good, longer red swim shorts at 24 minutes (and earlier) of the older brother, around 12 yo (Josiah Neff, on the left), also black swim shorts and a boy around 12 yo with a bowlcut (at 41 minutes) with and without Hockey helmets.

The movie itself is quite poor with a very young (around 5 or 6 yo), annoying boy (Michael Weiss) as main character. Not very funny but could be worse. Reminds me of Super Rupert. I previously had a (partial) TV recording but in bad image quality. The quality of the DVD is good. No extras.

For the brief bibs scene rating 3-4. Movie rating 3-4, swim shorts rating 6-7.

Very interesting series, aka Western Lights, 6 episodes. But I assume very few bibs scenes. They rather wore less clothes, at least on the ship. There is a similar series called "La baleine blanche" which is probably more famous.

I don't remember all episodes. I'm currently searching my old recordings (for something non-bibs related) and I found this and some other bibs scenes.

Rating 6 for the bibs scene, rating 8-9 for the series.

The Floating school program on the sailing ship "Karrek Ven" lasted from 1969-2002.

Update: Searching for La baleine blanche, (older teen boy rating 4) I have now checked all episodes. I only noticed this longer scene in episode 2 only.

Update 4: The Waltons – Season 5

And yet another update of The Waltons. Mainly disc 5 of season 5. And again mainly Jim-Bob.

Pic 1 showing Elizabeth looking like Huckleberry Finn with a straw hat and dark, faded bibs. It must be a continuity error as she first walks with Zeb in different pants with attached, overlapping straps and partly back bib but missing the bib at the front (unpictured). Later at the mountain and when she returns she wore that bibs pictured, getting wet and muddy. Disc 5 at 2h49.

Pic 2 from disc 4 at 2h57. Jim-Bib riding as usual without saddle in his medium blue bibs.

In pic 3 Jim-Bob, previously lying under his junk car and standing up, his bibs looking much tighter and much more faded than usual. Maybe another, different pair. Or washed too often and Jim-Bob grew into them. Elizabeth has a young admirer. Disc 5 at 2h23.

Pic 4 showing Jason's rear, sitting at the table, previously walking towards it. One of the last scenes with him in bibs in the series. Disc 5 at 2h31.

Again playing issues. On 3 discs at the same position, around 1h20-1h45. So probably due to the copyright protection (same on Dallas). You can only watch it once or twice than playing errors getting more and more severe on all players. Not sure if this is true for all editions.

I also received a rating 9 Western DVD with a handsome boy in pants with suspenders. Unfortunately no bibs. Check out my Western blog. The Waltons rating 10, also for season 5 at

As usual I only have checked it at high speed. He also appears in other scenes but not wearing bibs. And at least 2 boys in shiny shorts and one in half length jeans shorts.

Quite interesting and famous actors (Catherine Deneuve, Michel Serrault, Jean-Louis Trintignant). For the brief scenes rating 5-6 only.

Lockie Leonard - season 2

I was shocked when I have first seen season 2. Lockie - like most others - are looking much older. He now looks like 16 or 17. No wonder, why there's no 3rd season. Maybe they should have started with a 10 or 11 yo Lockie.

No bibs scenes in season 2 yet as assumed. Not even Mrs Egg or others.

At least Phillip in green fishing bibs like his dad in s2e7, also bibs completetly shown but from a distance and through the plants. But very brief scene either.

Plots are also getting weaker and weaker.

As said, I should check more episodes. I previously found some more girls, also older teen girls/women and at least one boy. Especially when there are many supporting actors like in this episodes, there's a chance for more.

I haven't found this episode online. Only current episodes and some others, mainly 15 years ago.

I can't say much more about it. Needs to be rechecked and put on my rare list. Obviously also not available on DVD. Should be a tearjerker.

Rating 3-4 for now only. Looks like a typical 70s drama. Not sure about his age. He should be 10 or 11 and looking much younger. Or the movies have been filmed earlier.

Time for The Waltons. This time season 5 disc 4. Pic 1 showing Jim-Bob descending from Ike's motorcycle in his simple, medium blue bibs. Bibs getting more and more faded. Also mounting the bike and driving (sitting front) shown. Ben in bibs watching. Ep. 9 at 4 minutes.

Pic 4 showing a supporting actor during the race, a boy around 9 or 10 yo. Also another scene with him. I think he also appeared in earlier episodes. Ep 9 at 40 minutes. Unfortunatley few and brief scenes and no rear view.

Pic 3 showing Erin in new, medium brown bibs sitting on the porch fence (side view) at 2h24 (ep 12). Brief scene. I think side view only.

Pic 2 showing Jim-Bob again with the motor cycle. I believe this is a new, different pair of bibs. A bit darker and bib at higher position and a pocket on his left thigh. Also driving together with Patsy Brimmer touching his shoulder (and I think straps). I think no rear views of that bibs. Scene at 19 minutes (ep 9).

She also appeared in For Hope (rating 3) and In the Doghouse (1998) rating 5 (5 for a boy).

Update: Pete’s Dragon (1977)

As announced some more pics of Pete and some of the other boys in bibs. I only had the time for checking the movie at high speed (so might miss some more good scenes or actors).

Pic 1 showing Pete and his straps that are hickory striped. Pic 2 showing the kids in front of the school. So at least 2 more boys in bibs. Also scenes inside the school but mainly or only headshots and from a distance. Also walking/dancing scenes outside (see main entry).Pics taken from the trailer, I think pic 2 is near the beginning.

Also other nice historical clothes like knickers. But most are girls in historical dresses. The time setting is obviously even much earlier than thought (rather the 1900s/1910s like many other Disney movies like Rascal than the assumed 1940s.)

I don't like this actor and haircut and don't like the dirty bibs and not the beige bibs either. I will recheck it again later the next broadcasting. Rating currently still 4(-5).

By coincidence I've seen a commercial for this series. Great 80s setting and good scenes of boys (none known in bibs). Also good bedroom scenes (rating at least 5 on my other blog).

I thought that they are around 5 yo but they are just 3. Usually I don't post toddlers. Maybe someone like these blonde girls.

So rating 1-2 only due to their age. Series rating around 6-7. I can't say much more about it and have to recheck it later. Maybe there are more actors/actresses in bibs? Who can help here?

11 yo Millie Bobby Brown is shown in bordeaux red bibs on public pics like on IMDb. Probably not wearing these in the series? Update: 12 yo Millie Bobby Brown in dark and tight, light blue bibs in season 2 (pic 1 from s1e5), rating now 5 instead of 2.

Probably the complete series is worth to be schecked. But who has the time for that? Maybe checking just pics or fansites or ask a fan? I bet that there are more actors. But probably very few (good) scenes.

Books 60: Hannah Loviisa: The All For Jesus Gang

By coincidence I found this one. Title: The Summer of Our Lives. There are photos showing  a boy and girl in bibs on her website living in rural part of California. Characters should be teens aged between 12 and 15 but kids on the photos looking younger. Maybe similar like the Sugar Creek Gang. Not published yet.

She published other farm and Christian book like "Growing Up Wilder" and also reviewed the Sugar Creek Gang book series.

The Swamp Robber (2010) private Sugar Creek Gang remake

Sorry, probably no overalls scenes at all. Some weeks ago, I found this trailer. As it's hard to find if someone searching for a Sugar Creek Gang remake, mainly finding 99,9 % the original movies or book readings, and as I like the movies, so I post it here.

Produced by "Questionmark Studios" in 2010 starring Kristi Heaton who lives in Washington. Easy to find on YouTube "The Swamp Robber Trailer 2010". I couldn't find anything more about it. Obviously a private projekt and not on DVD. Maybe even canceled.

Circus is played by a boy like in the books. Poetry has a pillow under his shirt. All or most boys wearing regular jeans.

Nowadays, movies are very easy to make, the original movies are also low-budget ones with few famous actors. The main problem is getting the rights (for using the names, titles and plots). Probably the same problems for (public) stage plays. I haven't found any. A real remake would still be great. There is a modern sequel book series but probably without bibs scenes.
