Le portrait (1999), Update: La croix du Fau

Thanks once more db1! He pointed out that "La croix du Fau" (2002, previously rated 5) is now on YouTube. I have roughly checked the movie several time but couldn't find any bibs scenes. Man in coveralls. Maybe I missed a very brief scene? But I don't think so. Nice rural setting and farm scenes but the movie itself is also quite poor.

I currently haven't found the headshot anymore, site obviously defunct. I have to search for my backups. It was a suggestion then.

During research I found him (Nino Gauzy) at least in longer beige shortalls earlier in Le portrait (1999), no entry yet, pic here

–Comment: There's a teen girl on the DVD cover sitting in shortalls and tights underneath (looking even younger), I think it's the girl pictured. She might wore shortalls in this or other scenes under her jacket (and/or sweater). The only scene I really found is at the very beginning at the pool very brief scene from a far distance.

Girl might be Roxane Bret (or less likely Lou Gala). Main character is a 16 yo boy. He and his 34 yo dad both have signs of puberty. English title:  The Adulteen. Aka 16 ans... ou presque.

So no notable scenes. Rating 1-(2). Movie also seems quite poor.

I have uploaded episode 28 starring Tobias Schenke (pictured, also in orange 7/8th jeans and Teakwondo suit). Only 2 older men in working bibs at 1 and 14. But nice actor and plots. -Comment: I think a lady in shortalls at the very end of the movie, partial view and from a distance. And I think a girl maybe in black shortalls or skirtalls. Also near the end a pregnant lady (Rita Wilson) in a bibs-like dress and an old man (Walter Sparrow) in bibs.

Great movie, especially the pond scenes. I always thought that the movie is set in the 50s, but it's 1970. Beginning and end is set in 1991 (bibs scenes).

For the bibs scenes rating ~1. Movie rating ~7.

There's also a publicity pic with 2 ladies (I think Demi Moore and Rita Wilson) and 1 girl (I think Thoara Birch) in long blue bibs (IMDb).

The boy is obviously Back-To-Front (with the head the wrong way round). The girl is obviously Dotty. Both from the original 7 dolls. All have imperfections.

Looks very funny, but I haven't checked more episodes. I currently don't have animated series here and I can't rate non live-action series (same for books and movies with coveralls), hence rating 1.

The 1960 b&w classic has recently been aired (but I don't know (notable) bibs scenes in there either). Court drama like To Kill a Mockingbird. So many scenes at court.

Previously, I found a stage play (boy rating 7). Howard is a young man in both movies, unknown if in bibs (13 yo in the play, also played by younger boys). There are 2 more movies, 1988 starring 13 yo Jason Marin ("Back to the Future") as Howard (not in bibs at least not at court), and in 1965 there's 15 yo Doug Chapin, but unknown if in bibs.

–Comment: One young lady or older teen girl (supposed to be a high school student, I don't know her name) in short, shiny dark yellow, light orange or golden skirtalls. I don't think that's a dress, as she wears a blouse under them. Backside looks even more like a skirt with long straps till the butt. Scene near the beginning, around 17 minutes (including the Schlefaz comments, so much earlier in the regular movie).

Has been aired in the recent German Schlefaz (worst movie of all times) movie series. Typical comedy movie of it's time and indeed pretty bad. I still haven't seen it completetly but don't assume better overalls scenes.

However 2 boys in short and tight Lederhosen (Lederhosen blog currently rating 6, maybe more).

For these skirtalls, rating 1. For more infos see my other blog. At least another skirtalls and rating 1 entry. I don't like the 70s. Available on the Tele 5 mediathek (2 hours).

I wonder, why this awarded movie (and 1st Chinese Sci-Fi film for kids) has no entry on IMDb. So I don't have an official transliteration. Aka "Electric Boy", Chinese title "霹雳贝贝" directed by Chong Song, starring Ying Thang.

Many bibs scenes of both but they are too young and I don't like the bibs.

Rating 1-2 for bibs. Movie maybe a bit higher rating (for it's time and country).

Story 98: very small bib and at low position

I found this comedy movie called "Scuola di ladri" showing an older man in short non-jeans shortalls on a beach. Looks ridiculous but fits to the actual weather. Obviously the working clothes of this salesman. Also 3 men in regular blue bibs. Maybe also other interesting scenes. There's also a sequel. Rating 1 for this scene (at 54 minutes).

I don't like bibs or shortalls appearing way too small or tight. No real overalls. They could wear shorts or Lederhosen instead. I don't remember much kids in those bibs. I only remember one Russian boy in bibs like that but probably rating 2.

I like just the opposite. Very high position and large bib. Or oversized and baggy.

I found this by coincidence and only have seen the trailer and some pics (on the facebook site).

The strong lady pictured in white bibs is called Kimberly.

A documentary about overalls (or here about agriculture, farming and food) is generally interesting. Maybe there are also historical pics and probably more men in bibs.

But I haven't found any good scenes yet. Why this title when there aren't any people wearing real overalls (at least not in the trailer)? Movie is 103 minutes and set in the US South.

So rating 1-2 for now only.

I can't say much more yet and have to watch this comedy film.

Looks like good farm content. Maybe just a typical family movie of it's kind. But rating 2-3 for now due to her age.

Update: After completetly seen (but at high speed) rating 1. No others noticed in bibs. Rather few scenes and I think rather poor plot/movie.

I like horror movies and the actress is not bad, but I don't like these bibs and have to check the movie which is probably better but probably but not better than the 1972 version.

Rear view but not shown completely (like the front), rather more the suspenders which are at low position, in fact no back bib. She embraces and kisses him wearing shaving foam.

Typical modern Heimatfilm with some drama and romance. Nothing special. About 2 younger man in Lederhosen (sitting musicians but also nothing of interest). A boy and a girl acting but neither in bibs nor Lederhosen.

There are some other movies in this series starting with "Da wo..." which means There where. Some are much better and also showing males/boys in bibs and Lederhosen (see my Lederhosen blog) and here "Da wo das Glück beginnt" (rating 6, boy+ young woman in bibs)

Actress is maybe not so bad, but nothing special either.

Rating 1-2. Good alpine landscape scenes and at least another 1 rating.

I found this during research for sailor fuku movies for my other blog. Aka Ginza Kankan Girl (Ginza Can-Can Girls or Ginza Street Girl), original title "銀座カンカン娘".

I don't know this complete movie and I don't like these bibs, but it was maybe quite rare wearing bibs for a woman in these days.

Maybe I have seen this (or another film in this series), but can't remember them all. I'm not even sure if he is shown in bibs here and how often or only on the cover. He was 12 or 13 in 1996 but appears much younger, maybe filmed earlier. Film aka "Leapin' Leprechauns! 2" Sorry, no better pic than this cover pic. Also no clips and obviously released on VHS only.

Maybe a good family entertainment. For bib scenes rating 4-5 for now. Hope for a soon broadcasting. Filmed in Romania and Smith is Canadian, so tagged non-USA as well.

I have watched this movie (200 minutes) except the last 30 minutes. Very famous movie, but I don't know why.  I don't like it at all. The only good thing is the music. And very few and short bib scenes. Not even 8 yo Yuri in interesting clothing (neither bibs nor sailor suit).

Also starring Julie Christie, Geraldine Chaplin, Alec Guinness, Rod Steiger and Klaus Kinski. Probably I don't have to tell more about this film. Novel by Boris Pasternak. Maybe the other versions are better?

First of all: I like most Astrid Lindgren books and films. And this is a good and funny family entertaining film. But I can't remember a girl which I hated more since my childhood. Overweighted girl. Bibs are also too short. I don't remember all bib scenes of the complete 13 episodes, as I saw the compressed 1968 film. Best scene is the swimming of 2 boys and 2 girls ~11ys in 60s swimsuits /swim shorts. But I have to rate 1/10 (worst) for the first time until now. If someone knows anything worse please comment. Sorry. There are also later films/series with this girl. English title Seacrow Island.
