Thanks for this suggestion. I even considered buying it many years ago, because of the DVD cover, but I bought D.A.R.Y.L. instead. Not to be confused with the US film Joey (1986) released in 1/1986, filmed in 1985 and often also claimed as Joey (1985). Every time I saw Joey (1985) in the TV magazine I thought that's it, but it was always the 86 film. Even for research on YouTube I first saw the wrong film. The 86 film is also quite good, I think starring a teen girl in bibs (or biblike dress), entry coming next. There's also a peeing scene of a boy in underwear (tighty whities).

But back to this 85 film aka "Making Contact", rated PG. I think I have seen it in the 80s and checked it only at high speed recently. I only noticed some few scenes in bibs, mainly in dim light. So nothing special. A girl with pigtails which were flying up (see trailer) but not in bibs.

The movie itself and the plot is quite interesting and spooky, but there are a lot of similar and better horror and supernatural films and series and the like.

I have to check this again at slow speed and hope for a soon broadcasting. I wonder why this hadn't been aired for a long time.

Rating 4-5 for now due to few bibs scenes.

Update: I now have checked it completetly but at high speed. Few scenes. I only noticed this one brief pictured scene of the slim boy and one long scene with the overweighted boy at the end. His bibs are tight.

Very good movie (although the boys could be more handsome). Few good bibs scenes so rating 4 instead of 5.

Update: I found the 1st scene. Brief scene at 40 minutes. A longer scene of the fat boy at 1h10+.

Quite good and funny family film, but I remember rather few scenes of the girls. The Lederhosen scenes of the boys are better, but there are also very few.

Sequel to "Witwer mit fünf Töchtern" (rating 4) starring 11 yo but older looking Christine Kaufmann. No good clips with them.

Interesting series, but there are a lot of similar series with huge families. I like a big family, it would be fun, but might also be a lot of trouble and almost none privacy. It depends on how many boys/girls, their age and how many rooms, etc. Mostly they are not rich and have few rooms, maybe one for the boys and one for the girls.

I don't remember all episodes, don't know how much there were. 10 different families throughout the years and a couple of weekly episodes each.

Also funny how his dad or older brother (?) was tearing at his leg.

The bibs are blue but looking rather green here. Rural and alpine content, but not really farm content. There are also younger actresses, but not in bibs.

I don't like this movie nor these bibs. Maybe someone else does. My most famous posts are those that I usually don't want to post.

I haven't found a clip with him in bibs in this movie, but actor and bibs look very similar. I don't remember this movie but probably have seen it. Famous and interesting case (real plot). Also starring 25 yo Henry Thomas (nominated for a Golden Globe). I am watching E.T. again these days and that's of course a very good film, see also that entry, Henry Thomas and a woman in bibs, though few scenes. I also like the brother-brother relationship.)

I can't say much more about this movie. I assume rather few bib scenes, and maybe there are many court scenes. So there are definitely better bib movies.

I have to check this again the next broadcasting. Rating 5-6 for now. I have also some other movies with him "What Love Sees", "The Little Rascals (1994)".

Sorry, I don't know this horror movie (rated R) and can't say much about it. Looks like an Independant movie. Written and directed by Linda Larson who also starred. And also Tim or Timothy Larson, obviously a relative, maybe son or husband. Maybe also farm content and I'm not sure about the year of setting. Not to be confused with "What Ever Happened to Aunt Alice" (1969 )in which is also at least an older woman in bibs. I don't remember that film either.

I like horror films and this one might be kind of bloody. I have to check this again later. But probably there are better movies. No clips. Seems to be quite rare, although available on DVD.

Maybe I have seen this (or another film in this series), but can't remember them all. I'm not even sure if he is shown in bibs here and how often or only on the cover. He was 12 or 13 in 1996 but appears much younger, maybe filmed earlier. Film aka "Leapin' Leprechauns! 2" Sorry, no better pic than this cover pic. Also no clips and obviously released on VHS only.

Maybe a good family entertainment. For bib scenes rating 4-5 for now. Hope for a soon broadcasting. Filmed in Romania and Smith is Canadian, so tagged non-USA as well.

-Comment: Another movie I found recently, of where I can't say if really bibs. A young women or teen girl in shortalls or shortalls looking dress or similar in the middle of the film at a lake (pictured). I don't know the name of the actress nor other scenes with her.

Famous autiobiographical novel and films, the problem is that the red hair of the main boy character can't be seen in this b/w version. English title "The Red Head". It's not even the first b/w version of it. The plot and movie is maybe quite interesting and I also like those classics. I haven't seen it completely, but obviously very few bib scenes and I also found no sailor suit scenes. There are some kids with string ties or similar but I think nothing of interest. Also a skinny dipping scene. I have to check the other versions, too. But there are better movies. Directed by Julien Duvivier ("Don Camillo").

Rating 2-3 for now only.

-Comment: I can't say for sure if they are really bibs, but looks like white, shorter bibs worn with a belt. A young woman or teen girl, I'm also not sure about her name. Cosma Shiva Hagen is later shown and has shorter hair. Might be Martina Gedeck or Natalia Wörner but there are more actresses. This scene is about this woman and 2 or 3 teen boys who are in the woods without clothes (I think boys only). Must be set in the early 1930s. Pic is from my personal short recording in bad quality. I couldn't find any better pics showing bibs.

This series is very interesting and would fit perfectly in my other blog. But despite the setting I don't know of any actors wearing sailor suits nor real Lederhosen but pants with suspenders. Also school and spanking scenes and later romantic and war scenes. Rural setting but maybe no farm scenes in bibs?

I have to check this again the next broadcasting.

From my rare movie list. Sorry I still can't find other clips than the trailer (and that not on YouTube) and this has no bib scenes. I searched for 4 or 5 different foreign movie titles. I am pretty sure, that I have seen this movie and maybe even have it somewhere (partly) on VHS. But I don't have the time to check all my old tapes, would be of bad quality either and so still hope for a soon TV broadcasting. So this is rather a dummy post for the tags. There are some pics of him on the web (mostly showing not the complete shortalls), but I don't want to copy them. However I assume rather few or medium shortalls scenes. But looks very good.

Directed by David Schmoeller, rated PG. Film is about time travel and a miniature kingdom. Good actors and interesting plot and probably an exciting family entertainment, though I think there are better movies. I will update this as soon as possible.

Rating 7-8 for now.

Sorry, I don't know/don't remember this movie. I also don't understand Russian, so I can't say much more about it. I couldn't even found and entry at IMDb. There is also a 1994 movie (not sure if related). Russian title "Мы вас любим". Transcribed title also might be "My vas ljubim" or "My vas lyubim", which means "We love you". Directed by Eduard Bocharov (who has an IMDb entry). Starring Ivan Ryzhov and Kseniya Kozmina.

Rating 3-4 for now. Bibs looking quite unusual and they are probably not the type of clothing often worn in the Soviet Union. However they are working bibs here, at least in this scene. Don't know if there are much more bib scenes.

Pic showing the last 2 books of the publisher Schneider (1st edition). These books from that publisher were probably one of the most famous books in Germany especially from the 1950s-1970s. Famous book series like Enid Blyton's "Hanni und Nanni" (St. Clare's). Probably most kids who read in those time were girls anyway. Usually boys don't read. I found I think 2 books with boys in bibs on the cover but one boy was very young and another boy wore painting bibs. I forgot the titles.

I have some few parts on VHS (in bad condition). First I thought that this a different series, but I even have a similar different series with firefighter bibs (also a blond boy, coming soon).

Very rare. Not on DVD, nor VHS. I also haven't found any other clips and very few pics (none with firefighter bibs, best on BBC Germany). Also shown their overweighted parents. Title translates: "Honey, we are killing the kids".

Shocking scenes, I think they morphed the pics of the kids to how they would look like if they continue eating so much and dying young. Typical reality TV. But obviously not very succesful. I like chubby kids.

Rating 6-7. There are few good films and series with firefighter kids. But it could be better.

Story 32: Baking in baggy black bibs

Mary from 7th Heaven wears baggy black bibs. First outside and than while baking (or maybe she has put on another clean pair ?) Also shown without flour (at close up). Her mom wears an apron. Rather short scenes in episode s2e8. I don't like black bibs. Then better white ones. But you won't notice flour on those.

Lucy wears good, quite baggy blue bibs in episode 7. Very good, but no better scenes than pictured, only briefly at close up and with a jacket. She changed her clothes at a shopping mall (changing not shown) to shop with her friends more ladylike. Her mom thinks that 13 or 14 yo Lucy is too young for short skirts and make-up. I agree. Walking in bibs would be better. And blue and orange color fits perfectly.

I have pics with Lucy in bibs in season 1, so maybe I leave the other pics at season 2. Maybe there will be some other better scenes or actresses/actors.

I think I have even seen this movie, but can't remember it. Maybe I have it somewhere on VHS. Young ArtistAwards for both Bill Switzer ("The Dinosaur Hunter"(2000), rating 10) and Marc Donato, both Canadian, but US production. Also some Emmy nominations. But somehow I think there are better movies.

I don't like very young boys with curly hair and don't assume Switzer or other actors in bibs. So I have to check this again and hope for a soon broadcasting. Also starring 13 yo Cody Jones (Running Wild (1998), rating 8) and Kyle Fairlie as Bullies.

I found this by coincidence on YouTube and don't know this movie. With his curly hair he looks more like a girl and I don't like that at all. Also looking (or being) very young. Farm content and I usually like that. Even corn fields. Reminds me of Children of the Corn. But I assume medium or fewer bib scenes as he also wears regular jeans. I also don't like the 70s.

Maybe a good and exciting movie. I have to check this again. But due to his young age and haircut, rating 3-4 for now only.

Update: Briefly checked at high speed. Bibs are faded and not that dark as in the old pic (pic 2 at 1h09). Fewer scenes than assumed. He mainly wore regular jeans. Nice rear view, being embraced at 35 minutes. Also lying on the stomach, I think in bibs at the end in front of the corn field. Probably no other scenes in bibs there.

Story 31: Hula hoop in shortalls

Hula hooping in shortalls. That's a great idea. Or maybe in baggy bibs. Or other sports (I just have the tag bicycle and riding). I have to check for other films or series with good action in bibs or shortalls.

Pic is taken from 2011 video "Barney: I Can Do It". No idea how the girl is called.

I still have no entry of this series with the friendly purple dinosaur (just the 1998  movie "Barney's Great Adventure", rating 4, starring Diana Rice and Trevor Morgan, sadly not Morgan in bibs).  There are a lot of kids (girls, also boys as well as grown ups. But not sure if any other than girls in bibs/shortalls. I have to check this again. Though most of the girls are very young.

As announced this rare family film. The "teen girl" was a bit older. I think not put on either DVD nor VHS. The VHS cover shown at IMDb is from a different "hunting documentary".

The first half of this movie is quite entertaining and I like her cool younger film brother (Justin Burnette with longer blond hair, both pics on left). Also starring James Eckhouse, Joyce DeWitt and Lisa Robin Kelly.

There are definitely better bib movies. I prefer long and raw denim bibs, but could be worse.

From my rare movie list. I still can't find good clips nor pics, so I use this publicity pic (taken from the excellent garydgray.tripod.com website). I don't know this movie, so I can't say much more about it. Directed by Fred Zinneman (High Noon), novel "Army Brat" by Tommy Wadelton. Probably a good and touching plot as his pregnant mom died. Usually I don't like those kind of bibs, but I like this child actor (see also other entries on both blogs). Most likeley farm/rural content.

First of all I wish Happy Easter to all my readers.

Again I want to announce "Spring Fling!" which will be aired on Easter Monday morning 7.40 h am at German RTL II. At least a teen girl in bibs.

One minor update of 7th Heaven season 2. ep. 5 starring Julie Marie Berman in baggy beige bibs (pictured). Best in this season so far. Also dental braces.

Funny, I still have much more hits on my old blog than here, although not updated for more than 3 weeks. Yesterday 234, here 161. Spam is still growing. From one to 5 on each of my new blogs every day. They were telling about how good and useful the blog/post is, or that they have problems with it, without concerning the specific content and often linking to spam sites. I can preview the linked websites by rolling over it. I also encountered trackback and referrer spam links on blogger (at my dashboard).

More and more clicked on the "Like It" Button which isn't visible to others unless they view just that single post. Maybe I make a list of most liked post as there are no ratings yet. But some might also be referrer "spam" but please continue clicking on like me, commenting or rating.

I saw the last half of this episode today by coincidence on TV. The YouTube clip showing not the complete scene. And I don't know this complete series. But probably rather few bib scenes in total.

I also can't say much more about this series. Starring Marianne Mendt, Peter Fröhlich, Lukas Resetarits, Herbert Fux and Götz Kauffmann. Somehow I don't like most of these Austrian family series of the 80s and 90s. Could be funnier. The kids are also quite young here. I don't know if there are any other actors in bibs here.

Rating 4-5 for now. But have to check the other episodes as well. 2 episodes aired on Saturdays on German 3sat (however series almost finished). Completely on DVD.

After the family film "Man on the House (1995)" starring Chevy Chase and Jonathan Taylor Thomas and with Farrah Fawcett in beige bibs (rating 4, few scenes) I also checked this unrelated movie from the "Chicks list". I had problems finding this film and then had problems finding any bib scenes in there. A lot of other clothes of these cheerleaders.

Quite interesting, but I prefer other movies like family movies. Rated PG-13. Working title "Cheer Up".

Also starring Paula Garcés, Monica Keena and Vanessa Ferlito.

I have to check this again. Rating 4-5 for now.

There are currently a lot of Heimatfilms on archive.org. I doubt that they are really free movies (at least not under German copyright law). I haven't checked it completely. He is also very young. I have one other film on each blog with him. Try the blog search. Famous lullaby "La-Le-Lu". English film title "If the Father and the Son".

I somehow don't like Rühmann nor Oliver Grimm. Though a quite good and entertaining family movie.

On top you see the Wordpress  Stats switch error on the dashboard. Obviously my blog title of my sailor suit and Lederhosen film blog is too long, so the Dashboard link is one line below and the Switch button to switch to the other blog is almost invisible and can hardly be hit (green arrow). However the button isn't fully visible for the other blog either. Someone else had this problem on the help board but it hadn't been answered there and the thread been closed.

The other pic shows some parts of my stats in the dashboard (not showing the stats bars on top and the additional detailed stats. Note, that you can switch between today and yesterday separatley on each window. The detailed stats are for weeks, months,  quarter year, year and alltime, which is also more than on Blogger + the underlined new features above.

The stats (top posts) are not the same as actually shown on the blog. I assume that those shown via a widget are up to date. The pic is also some hours old. Sadly no votings yet. However some Like it clicks and similar.

Info 144: Staying on Wordpress

After testing for exactly 2 weeks now on wordpress, I decided to continue blogging here.

First I wasn't 100% sure, but there were again a lot of massive problems on many (other) Blogger/blogsport blogs the last week, like Server 503 errors. Either it has something to do with the country redirections or they had other technical problems or testing again something new. Even if wordpress will or had to do the same thing, wordpress seems much better. Both have pros and cons and maybe there is no perfect free service.

Wordpress has some limitations and minor bugs, but I can't stay the major Blogger bugs and problems.

Here I encountered some very minor bugs like font or box issues, but this could also be my personal browser setting or else. One little design error on my dashboard, obviously due to my long blog title on my sailor suits and lederhosen film blog. At least the blog search and the main functions work perfectly here. The link to The Overalls Forum in the feed doesn't link to there but to my blog, although set up properly. However the main link and the feeds are displayed.

The blog Dng Effect is again down temporarily for private reasons, so no feed error here.

2 posts are coming today, one first wordpress stats (showing a bit more than displayed and on the old blog) and a regular post.

Further some more spam each day, but I think I can handle that but maybe won't check the spam folder every day on both new blogs. Someone has again feed problems and asked if I had a Twitter or facebook account, but I think it was spam either. And no, I don't have any of those.
