I prefer the classic series with Jay North, although b&w and no jeans fabric. Now also on my bedroom blog. Mason Gamble is funny but also annoying and too young, around 6 yo.

Women in bibs include Cathy Baker and Jeannine Riley (both at least since 1969) and Marianne Gordon (1972-1990).

Pic 1 from a YouTube clip called "Hee Haw is back on DVD! Watch the Hee Haw ladies give boyfriends advice!" which are Kornfield jokes (written like this). Pic 2 from a clip called "Where, oh Where, Are You Tonight?" which I first found. (The lady, Cathy Baker? is made ugly when turning back).

I don't know all episodes, but there are obviously many good scenes in all or most episodes. I have to check for more ones later.

Rating even 8 for now.

Most often worn is brand Liberty (pic 2 on right). Ladies could be Washington Dee Cee.

I now have checked all MGM movies and almost missed this, very first one. I have checked only some parts before and haven't found any bibs scenes.

Most clips are in very poor quality. This one linked here, is the best I've found and sharper (2018 new edit)

Much better than originally thought, but not the best one.

This clip is 15 minutes. The film should be ~20 (others only have 12), 2 minutes near the end are filmed off a screen. So 5 minutes are maybe still lost. Or is this complete as there's an end? And this movie is maybe not on DVD or partial and in unknown quality. PD.

Typical retro horror film like "Stranger Things" and "It (2017)". Nice 80s bedroom (soon on my other blog, rating ~4).

Lady in yellow shorts but not shiny.

For this brief scene, rating 2-3 only. (Needs to be rechecked more carefully the next airing also for other actors). Actors are also quite old.

There are several 1985 ITT commercials which even got titles, but I haven't found this in better image quality nor the title.

Searching for some DVDs to buy, I found this one (and also a previously unknown series "The Haunted School" on my sailor suit blog).

I haven't found any clips, even the trailer got deleted, so I used the DVD cover. There are only few pics on the Web, I think none in bibs but different, regular cotton pants. So I can't say much more, yet. I also can't remember having seen this series in the 80s.

Rating ~4-5 for now. I assume rather few bibs scenes. Anybody know this series?

Music by Klaus Doldinger. 9 episodes, 45 minutes each on 2 DVDs (Again errors on IMDb). There's also another interesting movie starring Gerd Baltus with maybe boys and girls in bibs, coming soon.

Info 945: Sugar Creek Gang audio books

There are new audio books of The Sugar Creek Gang, read by a lady.

I heard one sample but I don't like this (although she sounds like a boy, main character Bill). I haven't heard her saying "overalls". Similar like the original radio series (read by a man with changing strange voices). Probably great some decades ago. But sounds ridiculous these days. I think some are on archive.org.

There are also German taped radio dramas about some of The Sugar Creek Gang books by Hanno Herzler with some nice kids voice actors but probably none involving overalls.

Audio books and radio dramas are generally of interest, but I haven't found good ones, yet. Same problems for finding good books.

This is a list of movies produced by The Learning Company (LCA, later Highgate Pictures), Encyclopaedia Britannica (Encyclopædia Britannica, EB Films, previously ERPI Classroom films) and similar companies. I finally found a complete stream of this 3 short stories on YouTube (44 minutes), segment Antaeus starting at 14-25 minutes, but obviously this is only half of this movie! At least, I now found the full beginning, I haven't seen before. Not sure about the DVD. I have to recheck this.

Update: I have checked the complete clip. I think it's the complete TV episode (and DVD). But as said, at least this movie is not complete. The movie is 20 minutes long instead of 10 and there are scenes missing (like the home scene, undressing the sweater) and other scenes are shortened, like my favourite worm splitting scene (kneeing on the grass and standing up, main entry pic 3). The DVD compilation (60 $) is obviously OOP but would contain the same shortened version. The full movie (not including the other 2 ones, just Antaeus) is still available for 40$ from Phoenix Learning Group not stating the medium but probably is a DVD. Not sure about the image quality. I have to compare more detailed, what scenes are missing, not sure if the beginning is complete.

I don't remember the complete series, so no idea about the amount of scenes or if other actors as well. Probably many cycling scenes but unknown if in bibs as well.

I don't like much the 70s. Famous, but typical 70s series. Similar like the Enid Blyton series. But the actors are much older. Especially David Friedman is not handsome at all (not the younger LHOTP actor with the same name).

But I think I have to give rating ~6 for now. Also soon on my shiny shorts blog (boy, rating ~4).

Interesting setting and haircuts, but later quite boring.

I found some new uploads on YouTube in Spanish (and Italian and French) with some movies, I haven't found earlier, including some of the later MGM movies (1936-1944). Later I also found an older clip of this one, titled Little Rascals. (I mainly searched for Our Gang and/or the movie titles but haven't searched for all MGM movies, yet as I couldn't find much).

Very few (good) scenes, yet. I also have some older ones to come. But not perfect either

There are at least 2 new movies, I missed episode 5 (pic 2) on Sunday. Upcoming episode 6 can already be seen on the mediathek. But I only noticed one darklit scene. And few scenes in episode 5 as well. Farm contents but not involving regular bibs.

Better are earlier episodes without the jackets, like episode 3 (other pics, pic 4 at the end with both ladies also bending forwards while washing).

Chiquititas Brasil (1997) clip Tudo, tudo

By coincidence, I found this musical clip on YouTube.

Probably it's 25 yo Flávia Monteiro as Carol in the orange bibs. Bibs might be red, as the image quality is poor and there are dolls of her in red bibs and/or shortalls/bibs-like dress. Not sure if she wore any of these in the soap as well.

The younger brother also shown putting on bibs or at least fastening the straps. His bibs are tighter. The older boy also shown standing in a dried corn field but not working.

Another sharecropper find. Rather few good scenes. Starring Olivia Cole and Henry Fonda. Story by Ernest J. Gaines.

46 minutes. Even available on DVD together with "Almos' a Man (1976)" (rating 2), a similar movie, also having bibs (no entry yet). Image quality probably quite poor like the YouTube clip.

Update: Paper Moon

Another movie completely rechecked, but as usual at high speed only. Fewer (good) scenes than assumed and in the first half only. Few full views and rear views, mainly headshots.

Tatum looks much better without the hat, almost like a boy. Later she wore a dress and is also shown in underwear and smoking in bed.

Interesting movie (especially for these days), but as said rather few good scenes. Sitting in a cafe at 10 minutes (bad side views), and better on a bed at 22 minutes (I almost missed, pic 2). Most iconic scene, standing in a shop with her hands in the pockets at 23 minutes (see main entry).

Info 935: Update: Kody Brown quits acting

Kody Brown (Dragonfly of The Sugar Creek Gang) obviously quits (or pause) acting after 13 years. (Maybe again later or still as a hobby or side job?). I wonder why. Maybe he didn't get enough jobs as an actor.

After working at different theaters in and around Atlanta and Marietta, Georgia, and studying Fine Arts, he now studies Law at an University since 2016 (until 2019).

I found a linkedin page with an actual (tiny) pic. His hair is now darker and getting bald and he's wearing black glasses and has a thin, full beard.
