After the Rain (1988)

Drama, Ned Beatty
-Year: 1988
-Year in film: 1929
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: boys ~5? , men
-Available on DVD: VHS only ?
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: medium+ ?
-Rating:  3/10 ?
-Rating: ***
-Comment: Some young and old men and at least 2 very young boys/toddlers in bibs. Maybe more?

I found this on rarefilm net. No stream but download. And the free slow download will probably take 10 or 20 hours, 1.38 GB. I only had the time to watch 9 minutes. No boys there. Source is a retail VHS with fixed subtitles.

Maybe one is registered at that hosting and has a faster download or maybe someone might upload it to YouTube later. So needs to be rechecked later.

But I don't assume older boys. And ladies and girls in bibs in 1929 are unlikely. There are 4 kids, maybe 3 boys. It's possible that there are supporting actors.

Aka The Passage.

Rating ~3-(4) for now. Nice setting, 1929 Alabama, but boys are too young. Maybe some interesting scenes of young men.

Update: Love Is Never Silent

Rating 3 re-upload. 1985 Hallmark film. Very brief scene, unknown actor. Also men in bibs. Set in 1930s or 40s.

Forsthaus Falkenau - s21e4, s21e8

Some more ladies and men in bibs. Pic 1 from s21e8. Blonde lady also sitting on a man's knee. Pic 2 from s21e4 showing another lady, also inside with open jacket. I think also one or more very young kids in bibs. But image quality is too bad and no close ups. I think a young boy girl.

Few and brief scenes. Some more with men in other episodes. Also firefighters but closed jackets.

Rating ~3-4. Main post f/m rating up to 5

Update: True Colors (1990)

And another rating 3 re-upload. Both pics. Adam Jeffries in different bibs and shortalls. Also men and women. I haven't re-checked clips.

–Bib occurrence: low ?
–Rating:  3/10 ?
–Rating: ***
–Comment: A young girl in longer shortalls and a lady in this or related series.

Korean title: 한글용사 아이야 . Aka Hangeul Heroes A.I.Y.A. Is this the same series? No entry on IMDb.

Found on official EBS channel. Clip called "[6화~10화 모아보기] 이제 너랑 친구 안 해!😭 친구랑 싸웠을 땐 어떤 말을 할까?｜#한글 표현｜💥TV로 보는 한글용사 아이야💥｜[EBS놀이터].

For other Korean series search for "Elementary School English".

Pic 2 from Hangeul Heroes ep 4 also young lady in orange bibs (also sitting in both) found on channel 예찬 TV.

I also found a chubby man in yellow shortalls in series Bravo! Wonder Cards (WHY 최고다! 호기심딱지), also on EBS. I haven't checked all episodes.

Rating ~3-4 for now.

The Deadly Spawn

Horror film
–Year: 1983

–Who in bibs: Frankie ~28
–Available on DVD: yes
–I own: no
–Bib occurrence: low+ ?

–Rating: ***
–Comment: Richard Lee Porter (1954-2002) so almost 30 yo as "teen" in bibs. Some scenes in the 2nd half. Later with one strap down. Also rear views. Rear pockets and parts of bibs pockets are (almost) white at 58. Also hands in pockets. Rare, unknown brand.

There's a handsome boy Charles George Hildebrandt but not in bibs.

I like the 80s. Movie is quite good. For the bibs scenes of the man ~2-3. Movie higher ~5-6.

Simon och ekarna

Drama
–Year: 2011
–Year in film: 1939, (40s, 50s)
–Country: Sweden, others
–Who in bibs: Simon ~12 ??, man
–Available on DVD: yes
–I own: no
–Bib occurrence: low- ?
–Rating:  4/10
–Rating: ****
–Comment: I think Jonatan S. Wächter as young main character and a man in bibs. Man with a belt. The wood chopping scene is a bit better.

Another, brand new one from Felix. Thanks very much! He has 63 pics.

Low back, rather few scenes. No sitting. So rating 4-(5).

English title: Simon and the Oaks. Simon & the Oaks. WWII setting. I think most scenes set in 1945 and later with a man as Simon.

Update: A Killer in the Family (1983)

I recently found this on IMDb (crawling through 1,600 US movies 1979-1983), but I already had this. Pic was missing. I don't remember why. Rating was 4. Lance Kerwin was already ~22 yo.

I have him younger in Gunsmoke, rating 8, The Family Holvak (rating 10) and the abridged movie.

Wir werden groß! season 7

New season started yesterday. Most teens are now 14-15 yo (blond Tom ist still 13). There was a man in yellow waterproof thin bibs. I missed the last 10-15 minutes.

I assume that the teens (F/M) will later wore these bibs as well in upcoming episodes. They are 3 days on a sailboat. There are also sceens from earlier episodes and scenes of the teens at their homes (inclusing siblings and parents). But I don't assume much more bibs scenes there.

https://biboverallsfilms.blogspot.com/2025/04/wir-werden-gro-season-6.html

Update: No more scenes except another scene with the man. I think 2 episodes only.

The Dog Stars

–Who in bibs: boys ~6 , men, lady ?
–Available on DVD: not yet
–I own: no
–Bib occurrence: low+ ??
–Rating:  4/10 *
–Rating: ****
–Comment: Suggested by Johnny N. Thanks very much! He found 2 very young red haired boys in bibs. In the trailer I found a red haired man in blue bibs, one or more men in tan bibs (pic below) and a lady in bibs but could be an apon or similar.

In theaters in August. 4DX film, so with (unknown) physical theater effects. Seems very action based.

Needs to be rechecked when available. 2012 novel by Peter Heller. Maybe also worth reading.

Rating ~4-5 for now. Could be much higher.

A Doggone Adventure

Family film, talking dog
–Year: 2018
–Year in film: 2010s
–Country: USA
–Who in bibs: men, Jenny ~12 ?
–Available on DVD: yes ?
–I own: no
–Bib occurrence: medium *
–Rating:  3/10 ?
–Rating: ***
–Comment: 2 men in nice bibs (brands Dickies and Big Smith) several scenes and also in coveralls. Young girl Sydney Thackray in a short ripped off jumpsuit (I think one scene) also in jeans shorts.

Just found (YouTube recommendation). Usually, I don't post movies with just men and girl not wearing real bibs as well. But movie is interesting.

There are also 2 earlier movies in this series (same actors) A Doggone Hollywood, A Doggone Christmas, still needs to be checked.

Rating ~(2)-3. Movie itself rating ~5. Nice setting and actors.

I also re-uploaded La Vénus à Lulu (boy rating 3) as appeared on top posts. Top#1.

Heißmann + Rassau - Komödie aus Franken: Der verkaufte Großvater

–Who in bibs: Elfi ~50, man
–Available on DVD: yes
–I own: no
–Clothing occurrence: medium- ?
–Rating:  4/10
–Rating: ****
–Comment: Lady (Steffi Brehmer *1970, much younger looking) and man in bibs. Men also sitting and near the end shirtless, bib at low position. Lady with one strap down, I think mainly at the beginning, a bit later with an open shirt. Also sitting, yellow shirt at 14. 2021 Ep "Der verkaufte Großvater" has been aired yesterday. Available on the ardmediathek -> channel BR.

Briefly checked. I only saw the beginning on TV. Probably few rear views if any. I don't know other episodes. At least one man (Michael Urban) in another episode.

Should be on DVD. Not to be confused with other movies with same title.

Not that bad. But lady is quite old. Rating ~4. Maybe the men is of interest as well.

Forsthaus Falkenau - season 19

At least this young man in green bibs in s19e7. There were many scene before with forest workers (mainly older men) in almost all episodes of all seasons. I never noticed anyone without jacket.

A lady in ep 13.

Main post f/m rating up to 5

Family Reunion (2025)

Short film, 15 min
–Year: 2025
–Year in film: 2020s ?
–Country: USA
–Who in bibs:  Diana ~ 11 ?, (man)
–Available on DVD: no ?
–I own: no
–Clothing occurrence: very low
–Rating:  4/10
–Rating: ****
–Comment: Blonde girl, Jetta LaJewel (age unknown) as younger sister in shortalls. Obviously only one brief scene at the end, 1-2 minutes. Sitting with open jacket but poor view with leg angled. The only full view is shown from a distance though a camera display.

Behind the scenes also grown-ups in waterproof olive fishing bibs and  a young man in black bibs.

Another one from Felix. Thanks very much! He has 23 pics. (site 2 temp shorts).

Wouldn't be that bad. Maybe rating ~5, if not having such a short scene.

So, I can't give any higher rating than 4 or even less. Also a swimwear scene. Available on YouTube.

Update: Skylark (1993)

Rating 3 re-upload. I made a new pic of the boy as the other was dark lit and from a distance. Also lady and men in bibs.

Not that bad and I like these 19th century setting. But I think only one brief scene near the beginning.

https://biboverallsfilms.blogspot.com/2017/12/skylark-1993.html

Hallmark prequel Sarah, Plain and Tall rating 5, probably same boy, 2 years earlier.

https://biboverallsfilms.blogspot.com/2011/10/sarah-plain-and-tall.html

And also later ca 16yo, also rating 5 in

https://biboverallsfilms.blogspot.com/2013/02/sarah-plain-and-tall-winters-end.html

Unknown 42: Unknown German 80s movie Bavaria (clip)

Another personal upload. 3 (older) men in bibs. There's one boy, but not in bibs. Probably late 80s, recorded in ~2005. Maybe TV series. Heimatfilm.

Usually I don't post just older men. Rating ~2. Movie itself maybe rating 5.

Heavens Fall

Drama
–Year: 2006
–Year in film: 1931, 1933
–Country: USA
–Who in bibs: Victoria ~22, Ruby ~24, men
–Available on DVD: yes
–I own: no
–Clothing occurrence: very low *
–Rating:  3/10 ?
–Rating: ***
–Comment: As announced Leelee Sobieski (*1983, pictured), another lady Azura Skye (*1981) and some (young) men (black and white) in blue, black and tan bibs. Set in 1930s Alabama. I think very few and brief scenes of the lady and (mainly) partial scenes. Mainly near the end at 1h19 (1 minute with the ladies). I think also near the beginning. 1931 flashback scenes in 1933.

The publicity pic of Leelee Sobieski on IMDb seemed so promising. Maybe I missed some scenes. Later I found on IMDb a better pic of Azura Skye, sitting in bibs. Maybe I have to recheck this, especially the beginning. Some scenes are very short. And some out of focus.  Many scenes are court scenes.

For now, I can only give rating ~3. (Maybe 4)? Maybe the men are more of interest.

#ehrensache - die Jugendfeuerwehr (on TV)

Docu series 12+ episodes
–Year: 2026
–Year in film: 2020s
–Country: Germany
–Who in bibs: boys ~11-17 ?, girls ~12
–Available on DVD: no
–I own: yes, partial TV recording
–Clothing occurrence: often- ?
–Rating:  6/10 ?
–Rating: ******
–Comment: Some younger and older teen boys and teen girls and younger kids and men in firefighter bibs. Set in Remagen Germany. Mainly 8 teens were portrayed. Also with closed jackets and non-firefighter scenes (sports).

Finally a new series, I've seen yesterday (premiere broadcast) by coincidence on Kika. Currently 8 episodes online (kika and ardmediathek (SWR). Series has 12+ episodes, each 12 minutes. 2 ep on Wednesdays.

Season 2 (12 ep) is with lifesavers (#ehrensache - die DLRG Jugend) aired after this and might have (red) bibs.

Needs to be checked completely when been aired. I only checked the 4 episodes very roughly.

Currently rating probably ~6. I hope for more and better scenes. Very interesting sounds ep 6-8 with a tent camp and ep 10-12 (competition) both also with kids/teens from other cities.

A similar series with both firefighters and lifesavers was Alarm - Die jungen Retter.

https://biboverallsfilms.blogspot.com/2018/05/alarm-die-jungen-retter.html

Ep 4-8: also boys sitting, girls piggyback

https://biboverallsfilms.blogspot.com/2026/06/update-ehrensache-die-jugendfeuerwehr.html

And thanks Felix for your answer about the database and some more suggestions!

Update 2: Fish Hawk

Another rating 3 re-upload. Rating was 3-4. Two of 3 pics. One was similar as pic 2 but too dark.

Charles Fields ~7 yo and also men. I have very briefly re-checked the full movie. The image quality is poor (VHS rip). Best scenes maybe at the beginning and end. In better quality I might give rating 4. But the boy is very young. No need for more pics.

https://biboverallsfilms.blogspot.com/2014/01/fish-hawk.html
