List 54: The Waltons – Ben Walton

The final character list of The Waltons. No need for John-Boy, who wore light blue bibs mainly or only in season 1. I don't like Ben and rarely pay attention to him. So the earlier seasons needs to be rechecked as well as a detailed list of all his scenes. I think, he mainly wore bibs for work. The bib is often at low position, the fabric often in the butt crack. Very good scenes shirtless in season 4 as well as in raw denim bibs. Please also check the season and story entries, linked in the main entry.

I haven't found any other scenes, but many episodes were either deleted or blocked in Germany. But obviously few and brief scenes.

Few scenes, he's also quite young. So rating 5-6 for now.

I've also seen a pic of a young woman in shortalls (I think on the official site), but not sure if it's in the movie as well or a mom or more likely someone of the crew.

The girl is very young. I don't like her, nor pink tights.

Rating 2-3 for now only. Could be a good kids film though.

Update: Balloon Farm

As announced, I have again rechecked this complete Disney movie. (The previous update was only about a pic, I found on my HD). There are at least 2 more girls and at least one black boy in bibs. Also, the main character Mara Wilson as Willow previously wearing long bibs (pic 1) next to the light blue shortalls (pics 3+4+ main entry, also sitting in them, appearing a bit oversized when standing).

Another girl in tan bibs (pic 2) and another one at the end (pic 4). A young, black boy in medium blue bibs (pic 2).

Some good, scenes and I prefer Adam Wylie with the faded, dirty bibs (holes at the knees), pics 1+2, orange shirt in pic 2. Unfortunately rather few (good) scenes including sitting, see main entry) and also lying on the dusty ground. Some scenes from a distance only. Maybe some more supporting actors next to the men.

Update 2: Las aventuras de Enrique y Ana

Yesterday, I've got a comment about my ratings (see main entry). Of course, I can only rate, what I've seen and my ratings are about the actors and bib overalls scenes and not about the movie itself or it's music. That's why I have different ratings of the same movie on my other blogs. I don't understand Spanish either.

The problem is, that there are many song clips available, and some other stage clips not deriving from the movie, but I still haven't found the full movie. Sometimes, there are very good scenes between the songs, like in The Music Man (1962).

During research for more shiny shorts scenes (shiny shorts blog, rating 7, boys and girls, update soon), I found this better scenes from clip #3 which are interesting. A girl (11 yo Ana) with short, dark hair in dark denim bibs (almost) raw denim (somehow reminds me of "La boum"), and a teen boy shirtless in yellow bibs.

Previously rating 3 for overalls scenes (and rating 5 for a blonde boy in a sailor shirt), probably the movie and bibs scenes are better (5-6 ?), but I still have to check it completely. I don't like hippies nor yellow bibs nor this boy. The girl is very good. Some few others in bibs, but probably in total rather few (good) scenes. A regular entry (boy, woman) coming next.

Update: A Twist in the Tale (1998)

In 2011 there were only 2 episodes online, in the meantime all 15. I now have briefly checked all episodes. At least 3 girls in bibs and at least 2 more in bibslike dresses. Also one older teen boy (I previously had). Rating 6 was correct. Some episode have farm or rural setting. Unfortunately most scenes are rather short.

Update: Bibi & Tina voll verhext!

Next to a blonde, young lady, there's also at least one very young girl in bibs including riding scenes. Pic from the music clip. Also nice teen girls and boys in Western/Cowboy clothes (Western blog rating 4), pigtails blog rating 5 and an older teen boy in Lederhosen (rating 4). And many kids in costumes at the end.

Has been aired on Easter but I missed it almost completely. So still needs to be rechecked. Maybe even more actors in bibs? Nice ranch, hay and barn settings.

Update: Where the Red Fern Grows (2003)

I found these 2 new caps from my DVD (rating 8). Great movie, although I don't like very faded and baggy bibs. Joseph Ashton ("The Education of Little Tree", rating 4) is very handsome.

The 2 boys are also very handsome and look like twin brothers. I think a very brief scene near the beginning only. Bibs are maybe not of jeans fabric. The other boy wears pants with suspenders and a belt.

I rarely watch this DVD as it's RC1. I think I've only seen it twice. Probably, most prefer the 1974 movie (rating 6), but I prefer Ashton. Both movies needs to be rechecked for other good scenes and actors.

I always considered buying the famous novel.

Update: Die Kinder vom Alstertal

During research for my other blogs, I have checked some more episodes of this great German family farm series and found some more scenes and another girl in bibs. I found this before starting my "huge updates" and this are different episodes and later seasons, so I make a separate update just for this. Previously rated 4, but I think I have to give at least rating 5-(6). I don't like Tobias and my favourite is Lisa (pics 3+5) and of course Marco Soumik as Timo and Sebastian, but unfortunately they didn't wore bibs.

Pic 1 showing older Kiki in blue bibs in ep 31 (s3e5), she also wore shortalls (see main entry). Pic 2 showing a black girl, probably called Rose in ep 36 (s3e10) in blue bibs (or shortalls).

Pic 4 showing Tobias sitting in blue bibs (unknown earlier episode, season 1 ?, new tag Sitting M), Pic 5 is from the main entry, pic3 new but from the same episode. I mainly remember seasons 1+2 (which are the best) and have to recheck all episodes, especially s3+4.

On my bedroom blog (rating 10), I now found a bunk bed (Timo+Tobias). Also on my shiny shorts blog (no pic except for the prequel series, Neues vom Süderhof). Soon on my pigtails blog (Lisa). Good plots and handsome actors, some wearing dental braces (f/m). I recently also listen to Marco's music which partly appear in some episodes.

Kiki in orange shortalls in ep 26+29 and blue bibs in ep 2+3+5, young girl Merle in blue bibs in ep 23. I have to check for more actors, maybe women and men as well? Although farm setting, I mainly remember Tobias in bibs.

Nice and interesting colors, I prefer the blue and the purple ones. Even making pushups in the blue bibs. Very good sitting scenes and rear views of the orange ones.

He's quite young and other actors are more handsome.

I have briefly checked this movie. Nice shortalls and a good movie, but I think she's often shown from a distance and also wears an additional jacket over them. Cycling scenes are fast. I think at the end she didn't wore shortalls anymore (?)

Great, exciting series (and tune), especially for these days. But I don't like the early 70s nor tight bibs, especially not non-blue ones. She's also very thin.

So rating 2-3 only. Maybe someone else likes her. Series itself a higher rating.
