-Comment: A boy in light blue bibs (pictured) at the first part of the movie. I don't know his name (it's not the young Kurt Russell). Also boys in historic scout uniforms and hats of the 1930s. This is a suggestion from Felix' (deleted blog). I have seen this movie many years ago and this is probably the best film about boy scouts. And it's also one of my favourite movies (perhaps I will even buy it on DVD as I only have an incomplete VHS recording in bad quality and haven't seen it on TV for years).
But I think few bib scenes, so "only" rating 7. Also starring Fred MacMurray, Vera Miles, Lillian Gish and Duane Chase ("The Sound of Music (1965)", see that entry with grey green sailor suit and good Lederhosen on my other blog rating 8).

 Update: Now I have finally bought the DVD.

About 3 rather short bib scenes at the beginning (at 3-6 minutes, 17 and 22), but they are quite good (showing front, back and side view). The movie is 2h06 long. At 1h34 the setting turned into 1944 including some war scenes like POW and tanks even involving the boys which are now other kid actors (I wonder why this on a Disney family film). At 1h50 it's set in 1950. Some scenes are very good, including the scout uniforms, but maybe half of this film is rather boring. I expected a bit more, but it's a good entertainment. Some other interesting scenes at 32, 35, 39, 47, 50, 56, 1h07, 1h18, 1h34, 1h36, 1h49 and 1h59. One sailor in a sailor suit at 1h49, but no need for tagging. Very brief scene.

I own the UK RC2 PAL DVD, English language only, English subtitles, no extras. Image quality is good. The main song is often heard and quite a catchy tune. Novel by Mackinlay Kantor.

Originally rating 7, now maybe 5-7.

Also 2 men in marine corps uniforms with collars, see my sailor suit blog (rating 3).

I have seen only some parts of this movie (rated PG) and there are a lot of actors in bibs. Also boys and girls in baseball clothes. Very good. Even cycling scenes of girls in I think shortalls but no close up scenes.

Not to be confused with the more famous 2009 film "The Pefect Game" which is also a baseball movie but set in 1957 and showing Mexican boys at the beginning. I have seen websites showing the 2000 movie poster for the 2009 film.
I like this independant Disney film and have to watch it completely. Rating 7-8 for now. Haven't noticed any boys in bibs. Also starring Edward Asner, Tracy Nelson, Drake Bell, Cameron Finley and Patrick Duffy as coach. I think no trailers.

Moving to Marlborough

-Comment: Sharlie Mc Gurk (pictured) in weird bibs. Backside simple suspenders (perhaps even selfmade and bib added later). White rope as a belt. Film brother Andreas, 14 yo (Christopher Humburg, son of editor Lothar Humburg) shown on pic top right on left with their film mother. He wears tight worn jeans. Probably nobody knows this mini series for learning English (and Britain's lifestyle and geography). This was my favourite school TV series in the late 80s. Pics showing scenes in Cologne but most scenes are set in Marlborough (UK) where they moved to after their dad's deadly accident. 4 episodes à 15 minutes.  I have to check all episodes again, but I think only this short scene with bibs. This series is very rare (no entry at IMDb) and was shown to German pupils on a VCR but also aired on TV (80s and 90s). VHS were only available for teachers and had to be deleteted after the school year. Some copies may still be availabe at libraries or educational institutes. However the complete series is hosted on a teacher's website (sadly in low resolution). Perfect series, but for those short bib scenes I can only rate 4. But perhaps someone likes it.

Update: Obviously first aired on TV in Jan/1983 by WDR (or even earlier, school year starting in Sept) and probably produced in 1982. (Was 1985). Working papers for students also made in 1982. Story by Stephen Speight (but I think not available as book). Maybe first used at schools in 1984 or 1985 (after testing and when all schools had a VCR). Directed by John Sichel. No entry on IMDb.

-Comment: Sabine Eggerth (pictured) in dark bibs. Backside suspenders only. I don't remember the complete movie and have only seen some parts recently. Yesterday I found the color Heimatfilm "Solange noch die Rosen blüh'n" with her as 13 yo in Lederhosen (see my other blog) and first thought that Toni is a boy.
Here there are also boys as well in Lederhosen and sailor suits (same entry shortly on my other blog, will receive a slightly higher rating).
I'm not sure when this movie is set, the novel was published in 1931, but like other Kästner films they are mostly timeless and set in the year of release.
Also starring Hertha Feiler (2nd wife of Heinz Rühmann), Paul Klinger and others. International title "Punktchen and Anton".
I hope for a soon broadcasting and will update this, but I assume rather few bib scenes as she often wore dresses. Not sure of others in bibs.
There was a remake in 1999 starring Max Felder and Elea Geissler as Pünktchen (also in full length blue bibs). I will also make an entry of that version.

Story and plot is very good and good family entertainment, but for those bibs I can only rate 3-4.

Info 97: Blogger problems #7 stats, blog search

Since 2 or 3 days the stats of pageview doesn't work. Strangely the stats for traffic sources and audience does.
The weekly post view stats works, but unsure what happened next days.
The post views will probably completely wrong or just don't coun't anymore (week, month and year) and I won't be surprised if all stats were set to 0 (like the post reactions /votes).
There was the same problem before, but only for a very short time and not for days.

Also the blog search often doesn't work and I use it by myself. I wonder why Google have so many problems and aren't able to solve them. Possibly they are only victims of some hackers or just don't have enough professionals.
Some issues are known for more than 1 year. But they like to try always something new.

But these recent problems are minor compared to what happened some time ago where blogging was completely impossible. Not sure if this also happens to customers who pays.

Update: Oct. 31th. After ~3 1/2  days the stats work again. Posts American Pie, Just for Kicks, Pünktchen und Anton and this post have 0 pageviews. Maybe also partly involved posts from 27th and 30th October.
Update Nov. 1st. The stats are probably not lost and now appeared (not sure if complete and what caused that failure. All have now more than 0 pageview except this post. But could also be new pageviews).

Bibs seems to be quite baggy and the bib at low position. Boy is also quite young, but I have to check this out. Perhaps there are even others (men) in bibs? Can't rate any higher than 4-5 for now. (Though thanks Anonymous for the suggestion, there are definitely worse bib scenes in other films, however it's a matter of taste. Some would prefer girls or farm content or family films).

I don't know/ don't remember this movie but this is probably a good and funny family movie. Also starring Christian Campbell (as neighbor teen boy) and Dave Thomas. It was released on DVD but not to be confused with the more famous 1997 movie. I wonder why there so few infos and no trailers at all. Lisa Jakub is Canadian, so also tagging non-USA. She also appeared in Mrs. Doubtfire, Independence Day and Bermuda Triangle (1996). For the last film ,also in shortalls and rating 5, see also that entry. I can't rate any higher than 5 for now and have to check this again.

I haven't found any DVD nor a VHS release of this independent film by David Orr who also starred. (and no other clips nor pics). It was filmed in Mississippi and contains rural/farm content. Based on a play by Tennessee Williams. Not sure if also further actors in bibs (she has brothers and sisters in this movie) and probably there are also flashbacks. But I assume few or medium bib scenes. So I can't rate more than 5-6 for now.

I don't know/don't remember the other films, but probably also others in bibs. I missed the beginning, but I assume few or medium bib scenes. Rating 5 (for this episode) but I prefer younger actresses/actors and real jeans bibs.

Book 12: (several)

Somebody asked for more book entries, and as I'm almost finished with my previous book, I searched today the web (mainly on Google Books and shopping sites).
I found some quite interesting books, but either there are too few bib scenes or most of the text can already be found online, so no reason to buy it.

There are some non-fiction books (farm childhood), but probably I would be disappointed with those. Next time I try other resources (like social websites and suggestions from other books or just crawl book covers and titles. Some books have few infos on the web, but I also don't want to buy books, I won't like. I think I will buy a fiction children's book next.
So I share, what I've found today.

Robert Peters: Family Love and Other Misfortunes

I think mainly poems of this gay author. One story on one page called "Bib overalls" (only snippets online). Also confirming to wear no underwear in the summer, wash lines and (soft) fabric. I think 5 x the word overalls, but I'm not sure about this book. He also wrote "Crunching Gravel: A Wisconsin Boyhood in the Thirties" but I think also with few bib scenes. He  has a story in "Farm Boys - Lives of Gay Men From the Rural Midwest" (which I own and like).

Fred Tanner: Tanner, Boy Orphan


Good book (most parts can be viewed online) including 3 or more good pics with boys in bibs (farm work). Few but good scenes (incl. barefoot and non sensitive soles).

Wendell Duffield: Growing Up Near Lake Wobegon

Even bibs on the cover, but only 2 x "bib overalls" within the book.

Also not sure of the amount of bib scenes. I like raw denim bibs. First I considered rating 4, but changed my mind and give 5-6 for now. Looks also like rural or farm content, but have to check.

This is part of the "Hallmark Hall of Fame" series (like "A Painted House", see that entry. I like those films, often showing farm content, maybe I should make a list of Hallmark films. I don't know this complete film, but I kinda like it. However the boys are quite young. Also starring Zachery Ty Brian (haven't found him yet). Bestselling novel by Kent Haruf, published 1999. Young Artist Award for Cody Arens and one nomination for Mick Hazen. Some scenes I don't like. Who wants to see a pregnant girl vomitting? Have to check completely, rating 6-7 for now.

I didn't hat the time to watch the complete movie (rated R) yet, but some parts throughout it. Usually I don't like at all those action films. Also not sure if there are better bib scenes or also other actors in bibs. The bibs are often or always worn with one strap loose. I assume medium or fewer bib scenes as he also wore other pants. He was nominated for a Saturn Award. I have to check this again, but can't rate more than 4-5 for now. Could be worse, but there are definitely better films. But please continue suggesting films.

Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch

All in the first 3rd of this Disney video. The film series and also this fourth part are very good. Here also many teens (and teen girls) in tight and shiny yellow baseball jerseys, including 12-13 yo Caitlin Wachs with pigtails (film sister of Kevin Zegers), also cycling in those (2 girls).

Very good. Perhaps I should create a film blog featuring sport clothings (including shiny shorts). Film is rated G and also starred Richard Karn. But I prefer the first film "Air Bud" (1997) with young Kevin Zegers in bibs (see also that entry, rating 7).  
Film is a good and funny family film but mainly for those who like teen girls (or dogs). Zegers and other boys are much older here. For the few bib scenes I can only rate 3. Not tagging boys for the toddler.

This is a sequel to "When Every Day Was the Fourth of July" (1978, see that entry, starring Katy Kurtzman in bibs, rating 6). It's about a Jewish-American family in the late 1930s and include boxing scenes. I think I have seen this movie, but can't remember all scenes. Looks good and seems to include rural/farm content set in Connecticut. Directed by Dan Curtis ("Burnt Offerings"), main character is 13 yo Ronnie Scribner (see clip). He also starred in Salem's Lot 1979 and LHOTP. Also starring 10 yo Louanne Sirota. The film was nominated for a Young Artis Award.
I have to check this film again. Rating 6 for now.

2 days ago I found on the web a list of best viewed period series (and similar). I hoped for some good films and series for my sailor suit and historical cloting blog. I am still checking this list but most series are set in the 18th or early 19th century, so few sailor suits so far. For more infos see my other blog (entry "David Copperfield (2000)" (rating 10) and later posts). 

Starring Michael Kitchen as inspector Christopher Foyle. One BAFTA Award and some nominations.

I don't know this series and it seems to show much war scenes (including violence) and I usually don't like that. Might be very authentic with good historical clothings (even women in uniforms) and also some British kids (but I haven's notice any in bibs). The Waltons are also partly set in WWII, but first it's rural America and much more bib scenes and a family series. I have to check again but rating 4 for now only.

Another one from my rare movie list (I want to replace that list). I found this DVD cover on the web some time ago but can't find any screenshots or trailers with her. I am pretty sure that I have seen this film some time, maybe 1 or 2 years ago. Perhaps I even have somewehere a (partly) recording but have to search for it. I think a quite good and touching family film (rated PG), Primetime Emmy for Ossie Davis and Young Artist Awards for the 4 kid actors. Famous novel by Alfred Slote (published 1991). Also starring Michael Schiffman as 11 yo Jason, Ruby Dee, Ernie Banks and Kevin Jubinville. I think the girl is in the baseball team, so might be a tomboy. Have to check again (hope for a soon broadcasting), rating 5 for now. But I assume few bib scenes (if any). Bib look dark, but not sure if raw denim.

This is the first entry of the now private "Chicks in dungarees" list. I don't know the complete film and have to check again. I saw some publibity pics with her sitting on a tree. Film aka "Lolita 90" and "Junior Size 36". Also some erotic scenes with her (coming of age). Pic top left looks much better than that on the clip. She's not too thin and looks much older. But maybe there are better films. Not sure if others in bibs. Films is set on a camping place. Novel and directed by Catherine Breillat. Rating 5-6 for now.

Usually I don't watch and don't like soaps (except if there are cute young actors/actresses in bibs or other good scenes). I saw this airing right now by coincidence. I think most of the readers will like her. Blond pigtails but I think she also has other hairstyles. As I don't know this series I can't say if there are other actors in bibs. I saw on pics a woman in a white apron and a man in Lederhosen. I have to check this out. Rating 7 for now. Pics are from episode #805 Voller Körpereinsatz. Also a good scene where she sits. I read that she is acting since episode 1, so maybe 16 or 17, so tagging teens and girls as well. Also farm and hay scenes (in other episodes). I have to watch more Bavarian films and series. Maybe there are also girls in Lederhosen. Series aka "Herzklopfen in Lansing". 96 episodes had been released yet on 4 DVD sets and 1 film. Also starring Ursula Erber, Wilhelm Manske, Michael A. Grimm and others. But I assume few bib scenes in this series. Few parts are on YouTube, some episodes can be watched online at BR.

Could be worse. Film aka "Honey, the Kids Rule the World". No real trailer.

I missed this film on TV recently but I have seen this film some years ago. I don't like those action films which are too exciting (rated PG).
Is this a remake of Rollercoaster (1977)? At least films of the 70s are better in this plot. I'm not sure about her age and the amounts of bib scenes, so I have to check this again as soon as possible. Rating 4 for now. But could be worse. Novel by Robert Byrne.

-Comment: A young boy in 2 different bibs (pictured). Might be Yun Ho-You credited as "Kid". This is a short documentary "The Story" (2001) as DVD extra on this DVD. No separate entry at IMDb. I think 3 short scenes and no bib scenes in the main documentary (2000). Must have for Martial Arts fan about Bruce Lee's last unfinished film (Game of Death) but definitely not a must have for bib fans. 3rd scene is where he sits on the floor (in orange shirt) and runs toward the camera/man. 2 scenes of being embraced. Also showing his backside. He played the younger brother of the man who played Bruce Lee. Can't rate any higher than 4 for this bibs of this young boy.
I am checking my Eastern and other films (mainly for my sailor suit blog) and am still surprised what I found.
Update: There's a pic on the DVD backside cover showing a blond even younger boy in bibs. I haven't found it yet. However there is one short scene in the main film at 0:49:00. I think the same as pictured.

-Comment: I think this must be "Tank Girl" Lori Petty in very short blue skirtalls (or is this just a jeans dress?). Also a kanguru-man in orange full length bibs (pictured below). Some men in white and black coveralls and a lot of people (inc. Petty) in medium blue looking coveralls, but that a 2 piece prisoner's clothing.

This is a very weird film with some erotic and violent scenes (which I doesn't want to show). Film rated R and also featured some animated scenes (also with those blue "coveralls"). She cuts one of the straps of her bibs as one man approached. Good music and interesting film. Some would probably like this sexy short skirtalls, but I don't like this. Not real bibs. And the orange bibs of that kanguru isn't much better. I also don't like those violent action films. Sorry, again only rating 2 for that. Also starring Ice-T, Naomi Watts and Malcolm McDowell. I missed the beginning, but I assume few bib scenes.

Info 93: Blogger problems 10+, Stats, Java

Lots of problems.

But not only the stats don't work, but I couldn't publish. The box for writing a post didn't appear.
This is a known issue at blogger's help since 1 year and obviously still not fixed.

I had installed a new Open Java yesterday (IcedTea in Ubuntu Firefox), but doesn't work and I deleted it and blogger still doesn't work. Problems with installing new Java package. This official sun-java6 isn't available in the automatic DRM packages so I had to install it manually, but problems with defective packages and dependencies.
I'm not sure if I have fixed this Java problems (Flash was after that also defective). At least It seems like a can publish now.

If you won't see any new post the next days than I might have massive problems. (Though not sure if this was an USUAL Blogger failure or else or if Java was the cause for that.) Don't know how this new Blogger UI works.

Update:
After writing a normal entry with pics, I got 2 different bX- errors and didn't saved that entry.
Update 2:
After updating an entry it says invalid page ID and box is empty.
Stats now working, but still problems with updating. Same errors. Sometimes it works after trying it several times.

Update 3:
A lot of others now (and since weeks) have this error bX-3nlqxx. However bX-eqy0iq seems rare. Also blog feed is very slow (more than 15 minutes).
Also some other minor problems (reading list is empty, you don't follow any blogs).
Google has so many problems I can't work like that getting more and more worse. I think I have to move to tumblr or other blog hoster. Obviously not my Java problems.
I checked my Java and Flash installation (original test sites) and they are OK.

Update 4:
Today (one day later) no problems with blogging posts, but now again with the blog search. Please use the search field on very top line of this blog.

-Comment: Oliver Grimm (pictured) in dark blue bibs. Backside suspenders only. Partly farm content and also with black rubber boots (pic below). Cycling scenes (or rather sitting at front of a bike while a man is cycling). He also wears lots of other pants (shorts, standard jeans and beige pants), also pajamas (I think also a nightshirt while walking in a barn). At the end also grey shorts (not Lederhosen) and a Tyrolean hat. And several other boys ~9-11 ys in different short and long Lederhosen (see my Lederhosen blog).

Film and plot is quite good. But I don't like young Oliver Grimm nor those bibs (backside suspenders). Some good scenes while sitting (front and side view) and walking over chairs and other furniture (inside and outside).
And only some few and very short Lederhosen scenes (also rating 4/10). One scene at school (inside class and playground). And some scenes are night scenes where he ran away. Riding scenes but not in bibs. So I can't rate any higher than 4 for bib scenes of this young boy.

I think only released on VHS (which aren't available any more). Not to be confused with the 1994 documentary or 1938 version.

I found this yesterday by coincidence originally searching for Heidi (1965) for my Lederhosen blog. I found this website long time ago and it features also other interesting films and series (though haven't checked them all recently for other bib films). 
She also starred in LHOTP and "When Every Day as the Fourth of July" (1978, rating 6/10), (see that entries) and later in Dynasty.
I don't know neither this nor other episodes, only some parts of some episodes. This is about a shoplifting teen girl. There were similar teen series like "ABC Afterschool Special" which is more famous and had some very good episodes. I know some of that (and also some with bib scenes (boys,girls,teens)) but most of them had been deleted on YouTube. Perhaps I will make a list of Afterschool episodes with bibs (ABC and CBS).
