I found this by coincidence on YouTube some time ago but I didn't had the time to watch it completely.
Novel by Moore Raymond. There is also a 1958 sequel (with a different boy actor).
Sorry, I can't say much more yet. Generally I like these kind of movies (of the 50s), rural content, but maybe he's too young. And small bibs.
Rating 5-6 for now.
Update: Sorry, these are only shorts with suspenders. But I might missed other scenes or actors. Nice movie though.
