Fixer Upper - season 5

Yesterday, I've seen parts of s5e1 and s5e2. I think at the end of s5e2, Joanna wore again tight, dark blue bibs (female's cut). Full view, front and rear. I thought, I've already seen all episodes, but I think not this final season.

Sorry, I haven't found a (free) full stream, the partial clips on YouTube have different titles. I also haven't found a pic on the web.

–Comment: I think 6 girls in shortalls near the beginning. Black leggings underneath. Dancing, front+rear. Has been aired yesterday, but I think was cancelled or interrupted and there were audio issues. I haven't checked it completely.

The musical by Birgit Minichmayr was first shown in 2002 in Klagenfurt (unknown if shortalls shown). Choir KISI - God's singing Kids. There's also a Dutch version (at least on CD). 

There are I think currently 13 family musicals. I remember having seen another one, maybe Paulus. Handsome boys probably in all of them.

Rebroadcasting on March 23 on K-tv. Similar Christian family musicals are from Adonia. A nice musical narrated by 2 teens is Die zehn Gebote - Ein Pop-Oratorium (2010).

–Comment: At least these 2 boys in bibs in episode Throw Bobby Throw. This is one of 150 short films by Adrian Weiss (Weiss Brothers with brother Louis and or Steven, ). No entry on either IMDb or Wikipedia.

German title Bobbys großer Wurf. Released there by marketing-film. Episodes are ~5-10 minutes. Series should be based on a late 1920s series, but Bobby's Brother is from 1923. That one is included on the Laurel and Hardy Car Wreckers (1928) VHS/Beta. Other maybe on other (DVD) compilations.

Schloss Einstein - season 26

 

Season 26 (ep 1027-1052) starting on March 27. At least this shorthaired girl ~12 yo Mia Stieber as Ava Eilers (one of the main characters) in long blue bibs. Pic 1 is from a fan vid. Pic 2 from the intro. I've checked the screenshots, that are already available (on fandom) but I haven't found other actors (but it's possible).

I think she first appears in ep 1028, but unknown if in bibs, but it's likely. Probably she often wear bibs. Rating ~4 for now.

Rating 9 for farm boys in orange and dark blue bibs in ep 693, rating 8 for  teen boy Leon as firefighter (main, entry and here and here). In earlier seasons there are mainly boys and girls up to age 12, later also more and more teens. Plots and settings getting more and more worse (except the school farm in seasons 14 and mainly season 19, I think starting in ep 681, also good in 863).

Update: Also her in blue shortalls and beige bibs (both also sitting). Also a teen boy and teen girl in dark blue and yellow coveralls. She also starred in season 27 starting March 11, 2024.

The Raggy Dolls

–Comment: At least a boy and a girl in bibs. I found this by coincidence as a YouTube recommendation on other vintage British series, I think it was A Boy Called Woof. Pic from 1986 ep The Funfair.

The boy is obviously Back-To-Front (with the head the wrong way round). The girl is obviously Dotty. Both from the original 7 dolls. All have imperfections.

Looks very funny, but I haven't checked more episodes. I currently don't have animated series here and I can't rate non live-action series (same for books and movies with coveralls), hence rating 1.

Story: Too handsome for overalls? #2 - Little House on the Prairie

 

Season 8 of LHOTP has just been finished on German TV. Very good plots, but some are very dramatic. As said, there are few bibs scenes in seasons 7-9 and I prefer the earlier seasons. 

The most handsome boy actor (besides maybe some guest stars) is freckled young Jason Bateman as 11/12 yo adopted James Cooper Ingalls (pictured in s7e22, I think the only episode of him in bibs). Sitting (but just this scene with his arm over his lap, 3 standing scenes front and walking rear view).

This time, I missed that episode on TV and I already had a post (rating 5), I didn't remember him in bibs. Unfortunatley rather few scenes and simple beige bibs. Yesterday, I have rechecked it (luckily I found the full episode, Polish title and dubbed). I still have to re-check s7e21.

I think most real farm kids/boys in the 1890s, 1900s and during the Great Depression aren't very handsome. The props and costumes might be quite realistic but I think they forgot the hair. There was no electricity (at all or in most homes) and so no electric hair dryers to reach these floppy hairstyles. On the other hand, nobody would watch a series with just ugly actors. Actors with dark and curly hair are often not (show as) handsome or smart (like Willy). Most girls have dark hair as well (except notably Nelly) and pigtails and dresses.

I also have re-uploaded the 1st pic of the original story showing Tom in s4e9 of The Waltons (rating 10 for him). There was only a rear view left in that post.
