I continued checking more episodes. I knew there must be more kids in bibs (more episodes, boys+girls coming soon). Unfortunately half of the movies got deleted on YouTube.

The handsome boy in pic 1+4 is often shown (most in the classroom but he's sitting on the far right and mainly shown sitting from the rear. Sometimes close-up and also on the playground but either partly or from a distance.

The blond boy in pic 3 has a bowl cut and is only shown briefly and is not in that class (but cafetaria) mainly rear view. I think also cycling but from a distance.

Brief scene of a girl in very light blue or light grey bibs, pic 2. One girl in dark blue bibs (pic 4) but also rather few scenes.

Interesting boy and good bibs but as said few good scenes.

Info 445: Updates girl, teen girl

During research for Phillip Van Dyke, I found again The Modern Adventures of Tom Sawyer (pictured), previously rated 2 as I only found one very brief scene (pic 2). Now there's also this older teen girl in white or similar shortalls. But I assume few or very few scenes. Currently rating 4 but I have to recheck the complete movie. Definitely not the best Tom Sawyer film, could be anything else.

Looks like an interesting coming-of-age movie set in the late 50s. Completetly on YouTube but in very bad quality so I have only checked it partly and at high speed.

Novel by Kimberly Willis Holt. I like 50s farm movies. Also starring Michael Cera.

Rating 5-6 for now. Now some more pics in better quality. More scenes than assumed.

Interesting and funny scenes. Hanging on hooks at the wall (pic below, ep 3) and being grapped by the straps (same bibs ep 4). Pics 1+3 are from ep 2.

I haven't checked all episodes. Russian title Семейный бизнес , English title: Family Business, mostly transliterated as Semeinyi biznes.

Rating 5-6 for now. Very good bibs, but they are quite young. I have to check more episode, especially s2.

The Waltons – Season 9 update #1

I had an entry before buying this season but now I'm starting a complete review. I have just finished DVD 1. I think it's probably better than s8. Although many war scenes.

Waltons in bibs: Cindy (pic 4, wife of Ben) milking a cow in ep 1 (sitting, rear view at 7 minutes) Erin grapped her by the rear straps. Same rare light blue bibs as in season 8. John-Curtis (son of Mary Ellen) in dark blue real jeans shortalls (pic 3, ep 3 at 1h59) and other bibs at 1h30. (Jim-Bob in good regular 501's and Mary Ellen in raw denim tight regular jeans, also riding.)

Non-Waltons: brief scene of 2 boys running at 37 minutes (ep 1). Josh (brother of Jody) in light blue bibs at 42 minutes (short scene, pic 2). 2 boys as spectators at the rails as the president died (at 1h31 see 1st entry).

The best scene yet 2 boys (~10+6) at a funeral (pic 1 at 1h54, ep 3). The older boy is also shown more close up (front only). Also men in bibs.

Previoulsy rated 3-4 now rated at least 5.

Jim-Bob in coveralls on CD3 (1h04). And Cindy and toddler boy and girl on CD2.

Later nothing much more of interest. One more scene of Jim-Bob in coveralls (some very good scenes in tight jeans) and one more scene of Cindy. Erin in tight raw denim Wrangler jeans (also riding).

On flickr I found many yearbooks from Texas. All grades. Bibs at least in the 1940s (boys sitting, later also standing) and at least boys and girls in the 1980s. There are also earlier yearbooks (even 1880s) but either with no pics or non bibs-pics. There are also later yearbooks, but I haven't checked them all (mainly the early 80s and some of the 40s and 50s).

Most pics are b&w. Although high res the image quality of the 40s pics are quite bad. Also many other pics like sport pics, Future Farmers of America and the like. Also many very good headshots (few in bibs there). First pic is a 1980 girl in beige bibs not from the yearbooks. All links showing females (boys as said at least in the 40s in most albums, link 2)

I like this actor. He's great in farm movies like Children of the Corn V, but I only know him in bibs in Balloon Farm. (Rating 9 f/m).

Rating 5-6 for now. Unfortunately very few scenes. S3 will be released in February (2016) on DVD at least in AUS. S4 later (in Germany in November).

Anderland - ep. 37

A blond, pigtailed girl around 9 or 10 called Sabine in 3 different rare bibs. Mostly in the dark blue bibs. Short bib and bib at low positions. Rear and sides are very high (more like fishing bibs). Integrated ribbon as belt. Sometimes with a jacket, also sitting on a bed. Bibs are not tight. Set in or around Munich around 1985.

Around 10 episodes to go. Pic 1 showing 2nd grader Uli in tight beige bib in ep 15. He looks a bit older to me (~8-9). Mainly sad and afraid. Few scenes (front+rear) at the beginning of that episode.

This BD is a collection of 13 short films based on Edgar Allan Poe's works made by 15 directors. Most are made very poor and set in modern times. "The Black Cat" is even claymation.

She's tall and thin and I don't like olive bibs. And rather few (good) scenes. But could be worse.

I don't like these kind of "bibs".

Finally another western and even with an older boy. No entry yet on my western blog. On the colorized lobby card his bibs are blue. As usual I only have checked it partly and at high speed. The next broadcasting I will check it more closely.

Maybe not bad, but I prefer blue bibs. Directed by George Sherman and starring Barbara Hale, Alex Nicol and James Arness. DVD offers are obviously DVDr. Now obviously officially on DVD.

I like this comedian and the series and plot is not that bad. But I assume rather few bibs scenes. At least 2 brief scenes of her in ep 2 (I missed most parts). Don't know the other episodes. There are also older boys and supporting actors but none known in bibs yet.

There's also a new, 2nd season of Sibel & Max (obviously again the girl, now 9 yo in dark blue shortalls, rating at least 4-5, also a young man in grey working bibs).

Update: Anderland (1980) purchased

Of course I don't like buying DVDs and although I prefer US movies, I had to buy this series. I previosly had an entry, but next to a girl (rating 4) there are also at least I think 3 boys and some more girls in bibs. Most in blue bibs (maybe one is more likely a girl). At least one boy in beige bibs (and boys in Lederhosen).

There is a 7 DVD complete box but that is rare and expensive (60-80 EUR). Currently Amazon Germany has both boxes 1+2 for under 10 EUR each.

I also have ordered Krempoli (m,f, rating 6), although I have seen it on YouTube and also season 9 of the Waltons. All reduced until Jan 17. Many other DVDs are also of interest but most are more expensive. Of interest is Neues aus Uhlenbusch. And series and movies of the 80s and 70s like Die Vorstadtkrokodile (1977) for Lederhosen (no bibs).

An interesting and famous TV series of the former DDR. I haven't seen it then as I'm West German and I only have checked it briefly now. I don't like these kind of shortalls and I assume rather few scenes. At least real braces.

–Comment: Might look like a girl with longer curly hair (and I thought it is, until now), but I think this is Pedro Coelho probably in tight, raw denim bibs. The movie was filmed in color but is only available in b&w (2013 DVD). The lobby card in color looks much better.

Currently completetly on YouTube (in bad quality) but I have only checked it at high speed. I like raw denim bibs, but I think there are only few scenes near the beginning. Would be better in color. Also cycling on a bike and or motorcycle. Awarded movie by director Walter Hugo Khouri. English title: The Angel of the Night. Also good bedroom scenes of the brother and sister.

Rating 4-5 for now.

I have checked this movie at high speed but I only found few scenes, mainly sitting behind a table (headshots only) at 9 and 25 minutes. Best scenes I found (pictured) at 54 minutes. Sitting on the floor and standing in front of a mirror showing front and back (brief scenes).

The movie is dark lit (pic 2 I already enhanced). I don't like the longer hairstyle of the late 70s. And the boy is quite old.

So rating 4 for now only (maybe I missed some scenes?)

This is part of a famous Danish movie series based on comic strips. There are also modern movies in color. English title: Father of Four in the Country.

I don't know the complete movie but assume rather few bibs scenes.

Webfinds / books 54 m/f

During research for 80s pics, I found by coincidence the blog auf author Susan K. Marlow. She as her character Andi in bibs and long dark pigtails sitting at a creek. Then I found her western book series "Goldtown Adventures" (main character a 12 yo boy, but not in bibs), then the series "Circle C Adventures".

Most bibs scenes in the books with the female (should be 12 yo). But on the cover and on her blog some of her relatives in bibs as well (10 yo Evan (as Levy), now at least 16, pics of him at 13 and 16 there, tag my family) and teen boy Ryan as friend Cory. I haven't checked all contents of the Circle C books. Unfortunatley poor illustrations.

–Comment: Heather O'Rourke in red bibs. Oliver Robins in hickory striped bibs on publicity pics or stills (maybe rating 6-7), but I haven't found him in bibs in the movie by a search at high speed. (Who can confirm this ?)

I have seen this movie many years ago and so can't remember everything. Of course a very good movie. I also remember some scenes of the 1986 sequel (also starring Oliver Robins) with the braces attacking scene and still have a TV recording somewhere. I don't remember part 3 and don't know the 2015 remake.

Also good 80s bedroom scenes (soon on my other blog, rating 6).

I don't like red bibs and assume rather few scenes.

So rating 3 for that. Movie much higher.

7th Heaven - s6e13

In ep 12 and 13, Ruthie, now around 12 yo wearing stone washed bibs which are not so dark like in the first episodes of season 6 and last of season 5.

Good sitting scene in episode 13 (pictured).

She also wear other clothes. I think fewer and fewer scenes in later episodes and seasons.
