And a pigtailed girl in beige bibs (simple straps) also sitting (del/ep 1 part 11). I think it's not the main character. Few and brief scenes. Some few episodes are missing on YouTube.

-Comment: At least 3 boys in shortalls. Probably Christian Liberti as young Useppe (~5 yo) and probably older Useppe played by Mattia Basciani (pictured). Simple cotton fabric. Also at least one other young boy in beige shortalls. 8 episodes.

I bought the original series years ago on DVD, rating 2 for the shortalls scenes of the 5 yo boy. Series higher.

I haven't seen the new series, yet. Not sure how many scenes there are of the older boy. Quite handsome.

For now for the shortalls rating ~3-4. Series maybe higher.

The 2nd and last "Miracle" movie. Born in 2006. Movie probably filmed some years ago due to Covid. Based on novel "The Mustard Seed". Directed by Richard Correll (Hannah Montana - The Movie).

Young girl, very brief scene. 

So rating ~3.

Brand #3 Honkytonk Man, etc

 

Kyle wore a vintage Big Smith pair. The old logo is on front and rear. The new logo is medium blue on white. I found this fast, checking for vintage advertisements. The other faded clean pair might be the same brand but isn't vintage. Maybe that's why they had to remove the label. Perfect wood chopping scene at 32. Also very good rear view at the beginning. Still my top#1.

Secondhand Lions, Haley and the men wore Sears "Tradeware" raw denims with label removed.

Wind at My Back, Hub's raw denim in ep 30 season 3 are Dickies with label. The faded pair of another boy in s2e1 are Calvin Klein (which didn't exist in the 30s). I haven't checked the other pairs. Fat wore many different pairs.

Big Smith has 2 vertical holes above the bib pocket. A pair (hickory striped) with one button is in Where the Red Fern Grows (1974).

Miracles from Heaven

Pic 1 is an icon from the trailer (I haven't found that in the movie by a high speed search), pic 2 (best scene) at 1h24, also front but distance view. Another brief sitting view headshot distance at 6. Main character is a young girl (Kylie Rogers), another girl is Courtney Fansler.

As announced another "Miracle" film I found by coincidence. She also starred in Good Ol' Boy (2015) but others in bibs (boys+girl, rating 4), I found another pic of that on IMDb with the boys also in raw denim bibs and a girl in long bibs. I missed that and have to recheck that.

For the brief scene rating ~4-5.

 

Brand #2: Sugar Creek Gang, etc

 

After finding the brand of Clay Farmers, I've started to search the brands of some of my favourite movies. It's often difficult, especially when they removed the labels. I don't have much knowledge. I will make a list later and of course add the brand to the posts.

Some brands I found quite quick but on this I searched for ~3 hours. It's not just the label removed but also one of the bib pockets. The current pairs have a different logo.

Dragonfly wore Calvin Klein overalls. I first found the pic on bottom left on pinterest. Taken from an overalls blog on tumblr, originally taken from a foreign shop (also showing the front and other views).

On the upper back there's no label but it's inside. I found similar brands but very rare are the belt loops. The brand was not mentioned on tumblr, I did an image by image search (Google Lens).

Poetry wore Carhartt in film 5.

Book 139: Vos: Up the Hayloft Ladder

Finding new books on Google Books is quite difficult (maybe with advanced settings or more search terms) especially novels. But I like these farm memoirs. After finding the brand JC Penney in Clay Farmers, I did a search for "JC Penney overalls" and "Penney's overalls" (and I found the term "bibbed overalls" and also added 2023, 2022). So I found this 2013 biography with a long preview, spanning 8 decades.

A brief description on page 52 about the new denim pair from Penney's and going to school "relishing the smell and feeling the stiffness of new denim". A new smell story (smell outside school in fresh air I never thought of).

Another interesting scene on page later. Bathing once a week, I think this is set in the 60s, was common, but changing underwear (long ?) once a week as well I never heard of. At least he wore some. The girl behind him at school smelled his urine. (I wonder how often girls in a dress bathed and changed pants, but maybe she was a city girl. I wonder how she could smell urine with the smell of denim, manure and other odors).

I found some few more books. Willingham: "Life in the Country Through the Eyes of a Kid" (2022) has 12 mentions. And a handsome boy on the cover. There are several small b&w photos in the book but I think none showing bibs.

I'm currently reading more Sugar Creek Gang books on daytime and "Bristle Face" on evenings but not every day.

Update: Season of Miracles

During research for the brand of the bibs in Clay Farmers, I have rechecked both deleted blogs from Felix via archive.org (wasn't successful, I have also added my comparison list to the topics page). So I found this on where he gave rating 6. As I had rating 4 and this 2014 post is still on the queue for rating 4 re-uploads, I re-uploaded them both.

Greyson Turner as 12 yo Jimmy. Set in 1974. Rating 4-5. Movie from 2013. I have briefly checked the full movie and think just few scenes at the beginning. So rating 4 was correct for me.

I also found new movies with girls in bibs or shortalls one called "Miracles From Heaven" (2016) teen girl in faded, another "The Girl Who Believed in Miracles" (2021) younger girl in long dark blue, both coming soon.
