Update: Where the Red Fern Grows (1974)

I first found a DVD release of the 1992 sequel “Where the Red Fern Grows: Part Two”, but I haven’t found bibs in there except of the old man. Then I rechecked the 1974 movie. Previously, I only have seen the first half and I didn't like much the light blue bibs of the main character (pic 2 on the left, rating 6) compared to the 2003 remake starring Joseph Ashton, I bought on DVD (rating 8).

I now found another boy in faded, hickory striped bibs who is also of interest. Hands in pockets. But the remake is still better. So still rating ~6-(7). One more new pic (distance, hands in pockets, showing both) at the main entry

I also found "Where the Lilies Bloom", but the girl in bibs (Helen Harmon) is very young there. Maybe around 6 yo but even younger looking. Quite interesting movie, but probably no need for an entry.

Update: Zoom (1999)

Searching for some more of Kidsongs (f,m rating 8), I found on the "Disney House of Kids Wiki" some more girls and teen girls mainly or all in faded blue bibs, (partly) in Zoom, many pigtailed. I previously only had blonde Zoe and Kaleigh (previously rating 5). There are also young girl Keiko, older black girl Lynese and maybe some more. Girl Cary probably also in this show. Girl Casey (in green bibs) maybe in a different show? Boys, I only found wearing aprons, but I haven't checked all episodes. There are also other kids interviewed outside in the streets. Maybe boys as well in bibs?

Many good scenes and many sitting scenes. I think, I have to make some more entries of this interesting show. I encountered many wrong infos on a similar wiki, as there are lots of spoof clips mixing up kids fom different shows.

–Comment: Some boys and men in bibs, both white and black. Wet and sitting scenes. Most notably this boy with modern longer hair at front. Can anybody identify him? First I thought of Marvin Stephens, but he is light blonde. Also not Rooney, nor little Billy Barty. Jimmy Robinson is black and also wore bibs. Some characters had more than one cast. Katrink was played by 3 different boys throughout the years. One girl (tomboy) but not in bibs? Most of the gang (Scorpions club) is uncredited on IMDb. Dickie Jones and Kendall McComas had similar hair but are younger.

I'm currently watching some of my classic DVDs (My Dog Shep), and searched for recent DVD releases and so found this nice Our Gang like series (partly same actors). 1927-partly 1929 are silent films. Rest with sound. Many were re-released under different titles. At least some were put on different McGuire and Rooney compilation DVDs (after his death). ClassicFlix started to restore some movies in 2022/2023.

I like classics, although the image quality, especially of the earlier films are probably quite bad (although remastered ?). Few real raw denim bibs, at least one black man in hickory stripes.

Interesting series by David Cobham (seasons 1-5) “Woof! (1989)” f/m rating 5, "Out of Sight (1996)” woman rating 2. Unfortunately all series are not on DVD. At least most or all episodes seems to be online of this one.

Rating even 6-7 for now. Who has the time to check more episodes?

The Waltons – Season 3 – update #7

By replacing the tiny pics in the main entries, I found some more good scenes.

Pic 1 showing the 2 boys in ep1 at 18 minutes. Slightly different pic (showing more). They are barefooted and also rear view when running away.

Pic 2 showing young Jim-Bob, shirtless and barefooted, I think in ep 2 (disc 1 at ~1h00). Bib at low position. Another pic of him in the main entry (full view, from a distance). Also a young man in faded bibs. Jim-Bob and Elizabeth with a swing and tire, reminds me of To Kill A Mockingbird.

Typical but good series of the late GDR. Horror Fairy Tales.

Update: Kidsongs 7 - Video Classics (boys, girls)

After completetly rechecking The Waltons, Looking for Miracles and The Sugar Creek Gang #2, I watched my Kidsongs DVD (Country Sing-A-Long) and again checked the web.

The official YouTube channel has a new clip (a 50 min.Collection Nursery Rhymes with Old Mac Donald had a Farm, ...). The clips are not new. Maybe a new remastered collection if any. I found most scenes before.

Pic 1 showing Christian Tyler Buenaventura in orange shortalls in the song Three Little Fishies (available on different DVDs). I already have some pics of him but from a distance and first thought hat he might be a girl.

–Comment: 9-12 yo kids in bibs. Someone asked about this show, but I couldn't find much either. No pics at all. No entries on either IMDb, Wikipedia or elsewhere.

Aired weekdays mornings on TVP1 at least from June-August. Title means "Hose". Probably water splashing involved? Maybe colorful bibs? Non-Jeans?

I wonder that there's almost no information about this. 1998 wasn't that early. However, shows are always a problem and rarely available on DVD.

Sounds interesting. Maybe rating 5-6 for now. Maybe similar like Fun House?

Can anybody help with more details or even pics?
