Brand #44: Bloody Birthday (1981)

 

In search for my recent unknown UK assumed series, I had to re-check Bloody Birthday, as there were overwritten scenes before and after that on the tape. The brand is clearly Washington DeeCee. Due to the diagonal bib pockets, this is for painters/carpenters. I haven't noticed/recalled this. I previously thought that the fabric is thin, but seems very sturdy here.

I found some more scenes, but most are confirmed from movie Bloody Birthday (1981) aired earlier on same channel. One more scene, showing the teen boy, probably the main character in bed including a tune. Rambo poster and an acoustic guitar at the wall. I have uploaded a clip, as there's a larger audience on YouTube. Due to the late tape this must have been aired in 1992 or 1991. Maybe a rebroadcast of an 80s series.

In search for my unknown assumed UK series (update with more scenes tomorrow), I found this one. I currently only have this brief scene, so I can't say about the amount of scenes. But it's very good. There's a younger blond brother Friedrich Detering. The older brother was my famous actor from Berlin. Benjamin Zobrys ("Kartoffeln mit Stippe", sailor suit blog rating 10), both probably not in bibs. Rating ~5 for now. series rating ~6-7 (as Zobrys is much older now).

Another rating 4 re-upload. Next to Cher in long bibs, also cycling, there are also some young boys. I had 2 more pics, but too poor for uploading. Cher cycling (distance) and a very young boy sitting at the beginning (distance).

Update: Unknown 28: UK series? Lady. Out of Sight (1996) ?

FOUND! I have checked (almost) all 80s UK series and most Australian and German series without success. Then I recalled who I thought to be the teen girl in the same scene (not in bibs). It was young Dutch Isolde Hallensleben in rare series Hotel Amor (1990), pictured from my old excluside slideshow, now I also uploaded my clip. But it can't be her, as I'm sure that this hadn't been aired on a German broadcast. Same for Goede tijden, slechte tijden. At least, she should look similar.

 I will re-check my tape if there are more scenes or any hints. I put away the tape but I will find it. Captured on May 5th on the same tape/overwritten by The Secret of the Stone clip 10. That was aired in Aug 1992. Ep 8 in Sept 8th.

But I doubt, that I will ever find the title. It somehow looks like a sketch but could be anything, a German series, a movie, a documentary, educational, (travel) magazine etc. The setting looks mid to end 80s (must have been aired 1988 or later).

Update: The Vanishing Virginian

 

From my rare movies list. After 15 years I finally found a full stream (on YouTube, better quality maybe elsewhere). I previously had a publicity pic. Previously even rated 7, I only found a brief scene inside/outside at ~59, standing/walking. Quite good rear view but I can now only give rating (3)-4, maybe rather 3.

1942 movie, starring Dickie Jones (in bibs ?) and Scotty Beckett.

Update: Neighbours (1985)

 

Next to a teen girl in 2017 and others, I've checked some early episodes and now found a clip of Kylie Minogue after finding a (much better) publicity pic. Pic 1 from ep 511 (season 3, 1987), also in 512, sorry, the image quality is very poor. She appeared earlier, I think first in ep 234 (1986) but probably not in bibs. Pic 2 showing a young man, I think Peter O'Brien in ep 238 (also sitting in other episodes like "Neighbours 1980s - Early Kylie").

There are more than 9,000 episodes. I only found seasons 1+2 and the recent seasons. I wouldn't have the time to check them all anyway and I don't assume bibs in recent seasons. Seasons 1-3 are I think available on DVD.

Minogue also appeared in The Henderson Kids. (Part II currently rating 4)

Update 2: Pugwall

I found a young girl, probably again Emma Snow as little sister in longer light green shortalls. Here in s1e1. I wonder why I have missed these 2017 uploads in 2018. Maybe also in some few other episodes but in total few/very few and brief scenes. Much better are the blue bibs. There is also an older teen boy.
