Part 1 with audio and intro and subtitles/translations. As assumed the main issue of part 2 was that the video is in NTSC unlike part 1. Took longer to convert to PAL and it's even upscaled to HD 1920x1080. Some issues and mute parts, see description.

I have now ordered another VHS: La fattoria (unknown episode number but 6 or higher) with this description (I hope for good bibs scenes with the farm work, I have to think about how I'll capture this, might take ~2 weeks to arrive)

The 5 protagonists of the story spend three days on Antonio's farm to help him with the harvest and to assist old Igor.
Summer is almost over. Antonia's wife, Luisa, gives birth to a child. Old Elvira dies. Igor inherits the old house in the forest. Our 5 friends return to Trovario after a long time.

Info: Gli anni d'oro (1992) ep 5 with sound part 2/2

 

Here's first part 2/2 with sound. Please note that this is imperfect and not synchronously and some seconds missing here and there. The main goal was to have subtitles and translations/transscript.

Part 1 coming later this day or tomorrow.

The first try with audio and video had a too high pitch. I changed that, but today I recorded the audio separately with Audacity to have the exact original voices and pitch (Uncompressed WAV, best quality). It was difficult to patch it all together (with KDEnlive). The video is NTSC, maybe the audio is PAL? I tried my best. The audio sounds very poor on my other PC but is great on my recent PC.

I have more and more issues with rewinding the VHS. So part 1 will be a mix with wrong pitched audio and I think I will add the intro from one of the other episodes. So it will take a while.

I can download the subtitles, but I think just in Italian and as text only, without time codes. But recognition is better than thought. I have to carefully watch and check both parts after completion.

Searching for Gli anni d'oro (1992) on Google, I found, next to my stuff, a YouTube playlist "Boy overalls" and also "clothes" by Johnny N. Obviously a follower who added some of my clips and findings and also some short clips/commercials etc just titled "upload".

I'm also currently recording audio of my Gli anni d'oro VHS ep 5. And I will soon re-upload both clips with sound. I made a test file 9 minutes. Recognition and translation in English works great. But I will now re-record the audio. Again Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I had this pic from tiktok showing an older girl with straw hat. Title: House Band Part 8/14. By bizaardvarkstudio. I first thought that this is from Sydney to the Max (f/m rating up to 7) as I was searching for that, but it's from Bizaardvark s3e11. I think Madison Hu, but I don't like her and this Disney series much anyway. Also in tight dark bibs in s1e10, she and others in orange coveralls in s1e2 (pics on IMDb).

Another older one from  the playlist (folder Théatre). Uploader Amy Callister. Unknown location. There are 3 clips, up to 7 minutes (I think Laurent has just clip 3 ?, pic 1). Some good scenes, kneeing, hands in pockets and lying on the floor on his back. 

There's also another dark haired boy but I think just standing in tight bibs.

I manage to capture almost my complete VHS but without sound. Sorry. I can't find a cable. Next to the intro there's about 3 minutes missing at the beginning. I can't rewind the tape completely.

Part 2/2 :

Captured in 352x288 in VirtualDub (Windows). Compression didn't work (without skipping frames).  12 chunks a 3 Minutes ~800 MB each. Total 8.4 GB ~32 Minutes. Then compressed to MP4 via MystiQ and combined in Avidemux (no de-interlacing neccessary).

Info 3: Gemeinsam nie einsam (cycling in bibs)

I found another 7 seconds clip, cycling in the red bibs.

This time I uploaded in VOB format 720x576. This is downscaled on YouTube to 480p. Interlacing is not a problem but the quality was first quite poor and washy. I tried in the usual way, it wasn't much better. Maybe it's the fast movement. I now tried a setting, optimized for youtube. Maybe I have to try upscaling or enhancing later.

As I was running out of clips to upload, I will today try to digitize my VHS tapes. My TV-card now seems to work in another PC under Vista (not Win7). After some tests, the first tape will be my Gli anni d'oro VHS ep 5. Last time my recorder couldn't rewind it completey, not sure if it's just the tape or the recorder or both.

If it works, I will upload this probably today or tomorrow. If it works probably some minutes at the beginning will miss. Not sure if I can capture in higher res on the other PC. I'm especially curious about the dialogues and translation on YouTube.

Searching my recordings, I found some great scenes of JTT. Sitting and wrestling (A pic was here but only another one currently there). I think in season 3. Pic is new. I will soon re-upload my older pics and fix the links. (For now try a blog search). My favourite comedy series. JTT in bibs mainly in season 2+3. Bibs are faded and bib at low position. Usually I don't like that. at least they aren't tight.

Tigerenten Club - ep 465

After uploading my clip with Matthew Waters, I found this full 2004 episode on YouTube. Uploader Mario Fan Best of's & Retro TV. As usual kids (mainly or only boys) in green and yellow/black striped bibs. Quite good sitting scenes. Briefly checked. Also a boy in yellow lifting up pant legs (standing, not about to sit) at the end (45). 

There were/are many episodes. I think there are very few clips on YouTube. Still running but not having (these) bibs anymore. Maybe I find and upload more from my collection.

I found pics in other years with men also shirtless. Needs more research. There's a 2007 play. An older teen boy in Liberty bibs in "Hankerin Hillbillies Saturday Cast" by Greg Thompson (and a taller boy in the Friday Cast). Brand #42: The Waltons - season 8 part 2

 

I had this scene before but tiny pics. Erin buys bibs, raw denim Dee Cee (for gardening), s8e24. Putting them on I think over her other clothes turning around but in the distance of Ike's shop. Close up at the counter (all pics are the same original DVD size). Corabeth don't approve girls and ladies wearing bibs (same as for Elizabeth in s5e21, larger pic coming later). Great but short scene maybe rating 5-6. (Another scene sitting/kneeing in ep 22, see main post).

Ted Lapinsky wearing Jason's faded pair in ep 24 when he visited the Waltons. Several scenes like fishing, feeding chickens and dancing. I have a pic here.

Studio A - "START" 01 Super Mario

Laurent added many (mainly) Super Mario clips on his playlists (different folders, mainly Theatre). This is a 4 minute 2016 clip from uploader Studio A de danca. I think girls only. Festival Anual do Studio A de Dança 2015. I think in Brazil.

I haven't checked all clips. I assume most are men and most clips are in poor quality.

Gotsometsania

As said in the previous post, Maria Lazarov (Мария Лазарова-Меце), possibly mother of George (Jerry in Gli anni d'oro), had created between 2000-2008 with him a kids show called Gotsometsania (Гоцомецания) aired on Eurocom Bulgaria, later E-Kids. She was one of the hosts and clowns. There were 2 others. Gotsa, Tsotsa, Metsa.

Few can be found, even in cyrillic. I found one brief clip. She made this for 8 years, other source tell about a 12th anniversary in 2009. 

She was a famous puppeteer in Plovdiv and recently published a book with her granddaughter. For more info and another pic (without costume and granddaughter) see my other post. Characters from her book ressembling her.

Info: Gli anni d'oro - actors

 

George Lazarov, usually transcribed as Georgi Lazarov (Георги Лазаров) in Stardust in ~1988, possibly his younger daughter, 9 yo Lazarina (Лазарина) and her granny Maria (Мария Лазарова-Меце) who both published their first book in Sept 2024. More info and source below.

I first tried to search for the Bulgarian film company Interfilm (of Sofia Press). In English there's almost nothing to find. Searching in cyrillic, I found a history mainly on one blog. And that's a real thriller. I don't know if it's all true and I don't want to tell about it. Bulgaria was communist then and 1 year later there were the big changes.

Rudi/Radoslav Dobrev was probably the only of the 5 kids with a big career. Searching in cyrillic, I only found Elena Atanasova (Елена Атанасова) being a stage actress. Costume staff lady Zweta Marinova also made a movie with Beppo Cino (In viaggio verso est, 1992).

Searching for George Lazarov was difficult. There's a tennis player, a stage player and then I found a blogger. With grey hair, I think he's too old. Searching  for an actor, I found the lady above whose son is an actor and director. 

She was a famous puppeteer in Plovdiv and in 2000-2008 she had a kids TV series Gotsometsania (Гоцомецания) together with her son on channel Eurocom Bulgaria, later E-Kids (see upcoming post).

She now published a book "The worms from the country Fruitstania and Mr. Parsley" (Червейчетата от страната Плодострания и господин Магданоз) illustrated by her granddaughter. Some characters in bibs. First link also showing an older girl

George might have played in 1985 Fantasy movie "Yan Bibiyan" (Ян бибиян целия филм бг аудио) but not as main character. And with costume probably not to recognize. In the 2024 indie, no-dialogue Western "Bo Nan Za" (БО НАН ЗА) he might have played as non pro and I think not showing in the trailer.

Karneval Rietberg 2019

 

Some time ago after uploading my 2 carnival clips (Kinderstunk und Ziegenbart), I found this as recommendation. A girl in shortalls and also 2 older kids, probably teen girls, one as firefighter, the other as construction worker in blue bibs.

Clip is called "Kindersitzung 2019 Teil 1" by Karneval Rietberg. 25 minutes. But I think few good scenes. Rating 2-3.

I have translated the end of ep Stardust. In the jeep Igor telling about some philosophy. Like Egyptian deities who invented sailing and Greek philosopher Anak (must be Anaximander or Anacharsis). So nothing specific for that meteorite plot. And the recording was of an owl Vasco and not the hawk. An owl was my first thought.

Then I wondered about the interesting location. With Google Lens I found the castle pictured, it's Castello Orsini-Odescalchi in Bracciano, near Rome. There are some closer views of the kids walking near a stone wall in ep 5 (see my slideshow) and this ep.

Kids and staff are Bulgarian, adults and location Italian. I bet that this co-production was also aired or released in Bulgaria and maybe other countries. The search is a bit difficult (Golden Years) I found the cyrillic names of series and actors but needs more research. Produced in 1989-1990 but released later.

Some clips on YouTube ended way too dark, unlike the original, even 2 different recordings on the same clip and the other is correct. Maybe one recording was longplay.

Another one from the playlist. 2 girls in Dickies. 2 very long clips Act 1 and Act 2. Uploader Westwood Musicals. Uploaded in 2019, no description. Few or none in Act 2. 

Westwood Elementary school (unknown state). There's a 3rd clip Interviews from 2018, (also having few scenes at the end) so maybe the play was then or even earlier.

YouTube can auto generate subtitles, but has some cons. There's software but the language packs are huge. And most online tools need registration. I used the free Flixier and uploaded the short undressing scene (audio only) from ep Stardust. Worked great and one can get the original or translated text, I think as SRT. I also tried 2 other translators. 

The kids made an audio recording of the hawk (or owl) called Vasco. (I didn't recognized that on my small display and mainly focussed on the bibs). Jerry made a noise as an ant is in his bibs, and he said

-Una formica dentro i pantaloni e datela? - An ant in your pants and give it to yourself? It should be: An ant is in my pants, go away.

-Yes, here in front of everyone! (when open the bib)

-Look how short they are! (as Jerry ran away and has the bibs down), original: Guarda come i corti! (Not sure what they mean, maybe the underwear or privates).

-be careful, you lose your pants (when heading to the other direction, maybe water, pictured). Most parts are better recognized/translated. I have to check more scenes.

For the main plot, old Igor got the meteorite before the scientists arrive. Obviously he replaced it (or maybe it was in fact his own). A man at the museum told them about it, but I think general facts. At the end there's a philosophy talk in the jeep but I can't understand, later translater, see link 2.

I bought this episode, too. Obviously noone did before. 19 EUR. Le acque di nessuno. No man's water.
Jerry always in blue jeans bibs but always with an open jacket. So no good rear view, except one scene on all fours. One good sitting, close-up, another sitting on fence far distance (pic 2). Some good walking/ standing scenes. In total rather few good scenes, rating 5-6. Brand might be Guess, same as in ep 5. Scene from the intro taken from this episode (see my slideshow).

Each episode has a separate plot and usually is about one character. This one is very weak but I don't know Italian. There are 2 fox hunters who later kidnap Jerry (carry him at both sides horizontally, distance) and put/tie him in a cave (same as in ep 5). The man in bibs has a hawk who I think leads the others to the cave. Jerry could free himself and they save a fox. The setting is very nice, though.

I have to rewatch the episodes on big sceen and maybe translate them. Main post rating 7

Brand #41: The Waltons - season 8

 

As announced few scenes. Best on the early discs is Charly (Tony La Torre *1969) disc 1 at 3h24-3h28 in only ep 5 (1979) in dark blue DeeCee. Also showing Ben in faded coveralls also earlier like at 2h30. I noticed a lady at 3h22 (and I think some little girls) but I don't recall it, probably distance.

On CD 2 there's a man (Jordan Clarke) in nice bibs, also wet at 3h01. Episode 9 or maybe 10 (in Germany). Also earlier a young man (Les Lannom) in faded bibs low back in ep 4.
