I have translated the end of ep Stardust. In the jeep Igor telling about some philosophy. Like Egyptian deities who invented sailing and Greek philosopher Anak (must be Anaximander or Anacharsis). So nothing specific for that meteorite plot. And the recording was of an owl Vasco and not the hawk. An owl was my first thought.
Then I wondered about the interesting location. With Google Lens I found the castle pictured, it's Castello Orsini-Odescalchi in Bracciano, near Rome. There are some closer views of the kids walking near a stone wall in ep 5 (see my slideshow) and this ep.
Kids and staff are Bulgarian, adults and location Italian. I bet that this co-production was also aired or released in Bulgaria and maybe other countries. The search is a bit difficult (Golden Years) I found the cyrillic names of series and actors but needs more research. Produced in 1989-1990 but released later.
