Brand #30: The Waltons - season 5

 

New season, new pair. Jim-Bob wears a nice tan pair. There's a pointed bib pocket /\ and another small pocket on front of that. Carpenter style / painter plasterer. I first thought it's impossible to find the brand. Then I found the similar white 60s pair from Sears. "Union" of top of a square with Sears, "Made" below, 8.2 oz cotton drill. The rear is also similar (long diamond) but has not that hammer loop on the left but left of the right leg. I think other manufacturers also had such carpenters bibs like Hercules.

By coincidence I found then these ladies 70s workwear style pairs from Washington Dee Cee. Tan, medium blue and khaki. 100% cotton. These match perfectly including the removed patch on the rear. And very likely for this 70s series. I also found new remakes in faded blue jeans fabric.

Pocket style and color should be famous for auto mechanics (as Jim-Bob was). But I mainly found blue ones and coveralls. 

Pics from disc 1 at 1h52 and green shirt (also front) at 2h04 (ep 3). He also wore the medium blue pair (low back, pocket with 1 button, bib at low position, wide straps) from season 4, see other posts including The Waltons main post and season 5 post. And here and here and here, rear here. I forgot that. Maybe Dee Cee as well or brand "Something". There's now a patch on the rear, left upper leg.

During research I found 2 more brands (Rhino, at least 60s with apron tool belt) and Blue Flash (Sears). 

Brand 31: Discs 2+3. Jason in Dee Cee and Penney's (with tags), men with tags, Elizabeth in hickory stripes, Ben in Dee Cee. Jim-Bob in blue and tan. Erin blue cotton. Unpictured young man shirtless.

Brand 33: Disc 6 boy in beige bibs at cemetary. Headlight? Dee Cee? 

Same or similar pair but in beige in Bloody Birthday (1981).

Not bad but for the brief scene again rating ~4.

Directed by Hans and Helga Ahrens. Set in Hemmingen near Hanover.

Rating ~2 only. I only have checked this briefly. Kids are too young.

Even better is Ruby Jay (*2004) as main character in tight shortalls. I first thought that it might be Kate in later episodes. Pic 1 from s1e5 also sitting on grass with legs crossed.

I haven't seen all episodes. Kate sitting in tight long bibs brand (similar like) Misassy in an armchair  in s2e1.

Pics on IMDb: Kate in dark blue shortalls in s1e8. Saara in a white flowered probably bibs-like dress in s1e6.

Based on a 70s doll. There's also an animated series. I haven't found a DVD.

Needs to be checked completely. Also nice shorts (jeans and shiny white ones).

Rating at least 6-7 for now. But I don't assume many bibs scenes.

During research for Emily Watt I found another young girl (obviously Kate Moyer *2008, "Children of the Corn (2020/2023)" in dark blue shortalls and obviously in stone washed I think different long including tight pairs in series Holly Hobbie (2018-2022) in earlier and later episodes also sitting brand Misassy. Also Saara Chaudry and maybe more actresses, coming soon. Rating probably at least 6.

Another suggestion was Turma da Monica - Curta metragem (20 min short film, a young boy in simple red shortalls with one strap down). I think this is not official but a school project. I think this was also on his (deleted) Passion Salopette playlist. 

Another suggestion was Mokalik (2016). I only found a trailer and in there only a man in faded bibs (one strap down).

So instead I found this series. Pic 1 from clip "Historia completa". Unknown episodes, unknown amount. I assume few good scenes. I also found photos of her sitting but I haven't found better clips.

So rating 4-5 for now.

I haven't seen the movie yet but it looks very promising. Handsome boy. I assume several scenes at least in the first half.

Rating 6-(7) for now but could be even higher.

Young Sheldon - s6e12

 

I knew it, that I missed some scenes. Emily Osment (*1992) as Mandy (still pregnant) in beige shortalls, walking and sitting in s6e12. The first lady, adding tag women. Also some more (but brief) scenes of Missy in her black shortalls in season 7.

Main entry f/m currently still rating 5-(6). Unfortunately season 7 is the final one. Rather few good pairs (Missy in season 2 and 7). After season 7 and re-checking season 6 I have to consider rating 6 or even higher. Series itself is one of my favourites, rating ~8-9.
