Update: Kidsongs Kids names

The redhaired boy with glasses from Country-Sing-Along (pic 1) and other episodes is Matthew Bartilson. He also appeared in "Boy Meets World" s1e4 with a cape. There's also a girl in bibs (looking like a boy here) in this and some other older actresses in bibs (entry coming soon). In Kidsongs there's also Lynsey Bartilson, probably his sister (unknown if in bibs).

The Asian looking boy I already identified as Christian Tyler Buenaventura. No much boys left on this DVD. Christopher Aguilar is obviously the other Asian looking boy. So the boy with red blond hair, dark blue jeans and dental braces must be Philip Jacobs is Casey Rion who also appeared on Loco-Motion. Same as the blond boy Kyle Stanley.

This girl from Kidsongs and the TV shows (pic 3) (now the only pic) is probably Alexandra Picatto aka Alexandra Palm.

Rebroadcasting Saturday morning.

Very handsome blond boys. Barefoot at school. Some also barefoot outside. Most have their bib at low position.

In Bolivia is the strictest Mennonite community. And in this school they said was for the 1st time a camera team.

All modern stuff including books (except the bible) and music and electricity is forbidden. But they have a modern looking (electric ?) stove and one young man even secretly has a mobile phone.

Not the first Mennonite documentary but quite good. Unfortunately rather short.

Some 70s people look like today. Some 80s people with glasses and haircuts look like the 60s.

Maybe an interesting movie about a doctor and also showing other boys. But I assume rather few scenes with him. I like classics.

But rating 2-3 only. Has to be rechecked the next broadcasting.

Info 416: Kidsongs - names, boy or girl, clip speed

(I now have Lists of Boys and girls, see links below). The blond boy on the left is indeed Kyle Stanley. He is called Kyle in Country Sing-Along and there are credits, but I wasn't sure, and who is who? On a Sesame Street Wiki he is named singing one clip alone. In most earlier episodes he has much shorter hair and looking younger.

There is a Kidsongs Wiki listing some very few Kidsongs kids. The darkhaired, Asian looking boy like in the song "Swingin'" is Christian Buenaventura. The girl below, song "Me & My Shadow" is Stephanie Koyano. No more confirmed names. In some Kidsongs TV show, the kids introduce themselves or one has to check and match the ending credits with different episodes where one kid is and isn't on another.

I sometimes have problems to say if a kid is a boy or girl. Especially some darkhaired kids with the caps in Loco-Motion. The blond kid with the cow (The Farmer in the Dell) looking more like a boy at the end.

Half of this day I tried to convert Loco-Motion to PAL to make it slower. My YouTube clip is at NTSC speed. But no software was able to make it slower. I have PAL clips, but of same speed, length and high pitched. I extracted the audio and converted that. From 30 to 25 it sounds too slow. From 25 to 23.976 sounds much better. Or to watch it via VLC at 0.9x.

I now assume that the speed was correct, maybe intentionally made faster to match better the rythm and movements. I rechecked the original online clips. Still sounds to fast for me, although there are girls and young boys. Otherwise the other songs are too slow and PAL DVD players wouldn't play unusual frame rates except PAL or NTSC and I can't copy to HD other than PAL. Some software might do "Pulldown" or "Reverse Telecine" but I got some errors.

Walker, Texas Ranger - s4e16

This 1996 episode has been aired yesterday. A young black woman, maybe Khadijah Karriem in blue bibs, also doing a Martial Arts kick. Episode is called The Juggernaut (some clips titled s3e16).

I previously had an entry but with a brief scene of a supporting actress only. I bet that there are more actors, maybe boys as well. Quite interesting series. Unfortunately I often miss it on TV.

Story 108: On ladder in overalls - unusual body positions and movements

Great episode and scene in s1e14. The family had to pick apples but Mary Ellen didn't help as she fell in love. Best scene is again Jason on the ladder (scene at 1h15). Maybe I have to make a list about unusual body positions. Is there any movie showing playing Twister in bibs or similar?

Interesting was also the headstand scene of Mary Ellen in ep 5. Below she is lying on her bed in ep 14 (also completely shown but from a distance). But this position is also of interest. Very good is also dancing in bibs (I already have some posts about that).

Yesterday I watched again the Locomotion song from Kidsongs (Boppin' with the Biggles). Very good dancing and locomotion-like movements (boys+girls, rating 8, maybe even better but I don't like hickory stripes). I somehow have it at wrong speed (NTSC 29 frames, maybe it was PAL already), so the song and movements are to fast and the voices even more high pitched. I downscaled it to 25, 21 and fewer frames, but the voices still appear to fast. I wish the song would be much longer to have more scenes. I have to recheck that and watch this and other movies at slow speed.

I have a HD download but I wonder if the DVD has a much better quality. I wonder who buys DVDs when they officially have everything on YouTube. They should sell it on BD or better continue making Kidsongs. Remakes of The Waltons or The Sugar Creek Gang would also be nice.
