I was sure I've seen the brown haired boy (in the middle) in bibs at around 15-20 minutes. But probably it was just a jeans jacket and a backpack. Also 2 other girls just wore similar clothes (a dress and no shortalls but jeans shorts and a shirt with the same color). So only the teen girl in turquoise and beige shortalls. Sorry.

Previously I missed 1 h now 20 minutes.

I only have seen one clip and couldn't find any other scenes nor pics with her showing her legs. Due to folds I believe that these are skirtalls or even a dress.

Personally I don't like her and I assume few scenes. Maybe the movie isn't that bad but I can't say much more yet.

As announced very few bibs scenes but I haven't checked all episodes of this last season. At least one supporting actor cycling in bibs but very brief scene.

No coveralls. I found some by an image search but must be from a different movie.

I had to watch the complete movie at high speed. But I think I haven't missed any scenes. The movie itself is also nothing special. Very low IMDb rating of 3.6.

Rating 3-4. Not bad but very few and brief scenes.

I only have seen the trailer and some pics. Bibs appear almost black in some scenes and raw denim on the DVD cover but it looks like a kind of modern melange fabric.

Movie seems interesting and the boy is blond, freckled and handsome. But he's very young and bibs are typical for young boys and toddlers.

Sorry, I can't say much more yet and hope for a soon broadcasting.

Rating 4-5 for now. For bibs maybe rather 3-4, but movie seems better. Maybe also wet scenes.

Rare TV movie from 1982. Sorry, no pics yet. There are some on the web I don't want to copy. Few infos and no clips at all. I hope for a rebroadcasting.

Story 88: Brownies Girl Guides scouts overall

I read in a 1930s British book about Brownies overall (missing the s at the end). I understand that Brownies are 7-8 yo girls of the Girl Guides, a scout-like organization. Not sure what overall means here.

I did some research but couldn't find any real overalls. No pics and no text. Nearly always they talk about uniforms. There are different uniforms throughout the years and different ones for older girls. There are also different types of funny hats.

Young girls these days mainly wore short slipover dresses. I also have seen some with straps looking like skirtalls (1970s, maybe also earlier). Older girls and women often wore longer clothes, looking like coats or maybe even coveralls, colored in dark blue. Modern uniforms are different. Often 2 pieces or just a vest.

Later I read that during WWII the Brownies uniforms were often selfmade sometimes from curtains or overalls. And also that Brownies used to wear overalls for camp.

Quite interesting subject and you also find vintage boy scouts and other pics during research.

Does anybody know more about scouts and overalls?
