BeetleBorgs (Big Bad Beetleborgs) update

 

I already had this series under Big Bad Beetleborgs, but now found new vids under Big Bad Beetle Bros (which are podcasts) but have scenes from this. Original episode sources unknown. I still haven't checked all episodes/seasons. There are 2 girls as Jo. Different shortalls, obviously many scenes.

Pics 1+2 from clip Convention Dimension (Bros ep 19), Pic 3 from ep 14. Unpictured: Also light yellow shortalls (different shirts and caps) in ep s1e4 (of real series), s2e17, s2e24.

Faded blue at least in s1e36 and s1e26, s1e5, s2e25, s1e30, s1e44.

Also a man, boy (Harvey Bautista ?) and lady (Cherry Pie Picache ?) in orange coveralls in ep 145 (2013). Later I found a girl in orange shortalls in ep 29 (2011).

Also of interest a shower scene of the boy in ep 80 (2012).

I found this indirectly on the ageing transformation site (no bibs pics there), but I 've checked some few episodes. I haven't checked all episodes.

For now rating ~4. I don't assume many scenes. Next to this revival and the first series (another 402 episodes), there is also a 1999 movie. Maris Racal is also shown later in bibs or shortalls on publicity pics as singer.

Marta Kober also wore a raw denim bibs-like dress or skirtalls 1984 in Happy Days (1974) s11e20. Also more in bibs in that series f/m, coming soon.

-Comment: At least this older teen boy in bibs. I think only a very brief scene at 2 minutes. Also at least a man in bibs (at least walking rear view, distance) near the end (many supporting actors). I don't like the 70s and it's fashion.

There's also a 1975 sequel (I think with same actors, maybe there are bibs as well), but I haven't found that one.

Rating ~2-3 only. Filmed in NYC. The image quality is not that bad (for it's age) and looks digital, but I haven't found it on the DVDs sets.

During research for my School TV blog, I found this original YouTube channel Cambridge University Press ELT (CambridgeUPELT, which recently moved). Many good series soon on my other blog (no bibs yet).

I found one other teen girl in bibs in clip "¡Prepárate! El camino a los exámenes con Cambridge" but I think only a still and maybe not within the video. Maybe a stock photo and not sure if it shows up in a book or even clip or DVD-ROM.

Some time ago, I found a black young lady in bibs on the book cover "Im Berufssprachkurs B2 Kurs- und Arbeitsbuch" publisher Hueber.

Info: Mischief Makers (Our Gang silent films) new release

By coincidence I found, that there was just a new DVD release in Germany in July. It's (until now) a set of 2 DVDs called Die kleinen Strolche 2. ZDF Staffel (first aired in 1967).

These are abridged films with removed inter-titles. And this ones have new music, noises and a German narration by Jürgen Scheller (and 2 kids), which were assumed to be lost.

There are only German titles listed, like Jahrmarkt (set 2), which is obviously my favourite episode The Big Show (aka County Fair, pictured). Just 15 minutes per episode, so next to the inter-titles, they often removed the 2nd part of the longer movies, which is here the best scene with the show/stage play. So not sure if it's included. 

And the image quality is probably not better than on previous releases but not tinted yellow. 

In March, I posted the remastered BluRays by ClassicFlix. After 6 BD of the talkies, they confirmed now going to remaster the silent films. Not sure when and if it include these very early ones. At least one other company had a very good remastered version of this movie and announced a release in 2023. So there's more than one hope. 

There are some new uploads on YouTube, but image quality is of course even poorer than the DVDs. Also some other colorized movies f/m. And I haven't checked all foreign titles.
