I have a link to that flickr user for a long time on my sailor suit blog (unfortunately I don't have the time to check that site regularly). He has lots of other pics mainly of boys in historical clothes, some in sailor suits, long johns (I think I posted one before) and the like, many with tights or long stockings and garter belts (I don't like that). Also many vintage ads.

He also have some few screenshots of movies, but probably none with overalls.

Also "Sound of Music" scenes with the family in these curtain-made clothes like Lederhosen and a woman in such a dress. Also men in real Lederhosen (soon on my other blog).

I haven't seen the complete movie but I assume rather few (good) scenes. She's not part of the family but obviously Sune's girl friend or dream girl during the vacation in Italy /Europe/Tyrol. English title: The Anderssons Hit the Road: Almost Millionaires.

Rating 3-4 for now. I still have to check the other movies in this series.

Update: Hidden Places

I recently have checked this 2006 movie on YouTube, 4 years after my post. Next to the girl and woman (35 yo Sydney Penny, pic 2) there are also men and a boy in bibs (previously no pics of the boy). His bibs are hickory striped (was also not tagged). Movies with boys, girls, men and women in bibs are quite rare (I only think of The Waltons). I think most scenes with the woman in bibs.

Previously rated 5 and maybe this is OK. Set in the 1930s.

Book 47: Body measurements of American boys and girls for garment and pattern construction

A comprehensive report of Measuring procedures and statistical Analysis of Data on 147,000 American Children. By Ruth O'Brien and the United States Departement of Agriculture (1941). Price 60 cents.

Not directly overalls related this study but kind of. For everyone who wants to make his or her own overalls. Unfortunately no sewing patterns. Many tables and a list and description of what and how to measure. Also a questionnaire. I wonder why the names of the siblings, the income and thelike are of interest for measuring. Is this all for the industry? There is also a different study up to the recent years on how the growth changed. Some measurements are also important if you want to have tight or baggy pants.

Very funny are the photos (also showing some more, including young girls). I have a bit edited the pic.

Info 364: Monthly stats

As the all-time stats rarely changes I made a monthly TOP 5, also added on my right coloumn. I think there is no automatic function unlike on my old blogspot blog. The top post&pages are gathered from the last 2 weeks (with a delay).

I also made a pic of the yearly stats (note that 2015 is still incomplete). It's also possible to view stats of each day and even of any single post. But most posts have occasionally just one or two hits a day. Older posts, top posts, updates and fresh posts of course have more hits.

Interesting that the A-Z list had up to 177 hits a month in the summer 2013, later again just very few. Either one person worked with it or it was just spam.

The new "insight stats" showing me the most pupular day which is Monday and the most popular time is 9.00 pm (UTC).

This weeks most watched tags are boys (353), girls (317), film (245), TV (235), teen girls (255), farm 221, teen boys (202). Note that tags can be used within all wordpress blogs. Tags are probably much more used than categories. But they were imported that way from my old blog. The female page had about twice as much hits than the boys subpage this year but were about equal last year.

Bibs aren't that bad but I don't like her. I haven't seen the complete movie, so I can't say much more yet. Probably a typical movie. There are definitely better ones (with younger actors).

From the missing Felix and rare movies list and finally completetly on YouTube. But I only noticed this brief scene. According to a publicity pic there might be a scene with a different shirt sitting at a table.

Quite good and typical family movie. But few scenes and very young boy who just turned 6.

So rating 3-4.

Update: I now have recorded and partly seen this movie but haven't checked all scenes. Obviously very few scenes (One brief scene at the beginning, some few others later I think mainly at the end). And the boy is very young.

So rating 3 was correct. Movie itself is also weak.

At the end the bibs are shown completetly but from a distance and with a helmet.

Rare movie and not officially on DVD. I only found short clips on the web. So I don't know if there are better scenes (without the jacket, rear view and the like).

Looks interesting. But I don't like hickory stripes. Rating 5-6 for now. I hope to see it completetly at some time. Update: Completely checked. Rather few scenes near the beginning.
