-Comment: Giant toddler (Daniel + Joshua Shalikar) who more looks like a girl in curly hair) in orange bibs and a girl in light blue shortalls. This is the 2nd movie of the funny trilogy, 1st one was Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989). Picture showing the girl (I don't know her name, together with Robert Oliveri in the bib pocket of Adam). I missed first half of the movie but I don't like this film, 1st film is much better, but I don't remember bib scenes there. And here I think only few good bib scenes of the girl in tight shortalls, sometimes looks white. Good family film with nice acting of the teen kids.

Edit: also woman Keri Russell in white shortalls as babysitter.

I have recently updated The Waltons (season 6) with infos (not images) of Erin and her mother Olivia each in light blue bibs and another girl in beige bibs. Also LHOTP with Ike Eisenmann in good blue jeans bibs.

I have also ordered the DVD E.T. and will update this entry shortly.

I'm not sure, if I shold list all films with few and short bib scenes, especially with only little kids. Many kids and toddlers wear bibs. Or with old men.

But I will continue blogging and perhaps there are also some other genres like Western, documentaries, music clips, commercials or else.

-Comment: A good and funny children's film set in Missouri in the 1950s featuring a golden retriever and a boy with his friends. I don't remember the entire movie, but I liked it and have to watch it again. Some good scenes (eating a sandwich with worms). Also a cycling scene with this girl in light blue bibs (pictured). Perhaps also other in bibs, but I only remember the boy in black standard jeans. I don't remember the boy in bibs. Perhaps only few scenes.

 (Update: Pic 2 is a brief scene at 35 minutes). Also men in bibs. The 2nd half of the movie is mainly at court.

Still a good movie. But I have to recheck the complete movie at slow speed. New tags: farm+men

I don't know the name of the kid actors and don't remember the whole film, but I think this is a very good and funny kid's film. 4th film in this series. Nice acting and excited plot, but there are better bib movies. I think the main character is Jonathan Cronin (picture, middle). I think also bibs in the other films. But I have to check the all the movies again.

Pet Sematary

-Comment: Blaze Berdahl (pictured) in blue bibs. Also young boy ~4 ys in light green and yellow bibs, and old man Jud (Fred Gwynne) in light blue bibs. This is a good horror film with a very good plot by Stephen King. But short bib scenes and I don't like the bibs of the small kids. There is also a second film starring Edward Furlog. But I don't know of any bib scenes in that film. The second film is much better, I think. But I have to watch it again.

-Comment: Billy Chapin (pictured, right with Sally Jane Brude) in dark, old style bibs. I think most know this famous movie. I saw this many years before. Perfect film with much suspense, perhaps as good as To Kill a Mockingbird (see this entry). But with fewer bib scenes and only of the boy at the first half of the film. Here are also authentic one-piece undergarment seen. I found this film searching imdb with keywords farm and boy, there 3rd entry. Some films are best in b/w. Although few bib scenes, I rate 7. Also in bibs: Robert Mitchum in a short scene.

Edit: I saw this complete movie recently. Bibs are of old fabric with bad seams. And a bit too big, or the boy is too thin. I thought of change the rating to 5-6, but I leave it at 7, due to this good film. There are not so many good b/w films with bibs. To Kill A Mockingbird is much better.

Edit 2: There was also a color remake in 1991 starring Richard Chamberlain and a boy and girl in bibs. But I don't know that movie and I don't think that this is even half so good, but have to check. Now I have also an enry of the remake (also with the young girl in bibs and an oversized teen boy. Rating 4/10). Title "Night of the Hunter (1991), without "The".

The Waltons - Season 8

I knew, that in later seasons there were less and less bib scenes, although I couldn't find any of the older Walton members in bibs I bought this season. On the web I found before 2 young unknown boys in bibs. I also checked Waltons and pre-Waltons movies, but also no luck there. Although I'm a fan of the Waltons I first bought other DVDs. Most newer farm films are without bibs. Perhaps best years are the 1950s and 1960s.

I am very disappointed of this season. Besides the very few bib scenes also most plots of the stories are weak, I think. None of the farm boys and young men at school wear bibs. Clothing and hair fashion looks more like the 70s/80s. I wonder why. Compare season 1 or even 7. Some new family members and relatives acting (also kids) but missing some others. I don't want to tell the main plot here,  some few details are important for the complete Waltons story, but I don't like it.  Either the fans wanted more or the company wanted to make even more money from it. There's also a film special included with the best scenes and creator Earl Hamner and his (grown up) brothers and sisters who were the models for the Waltons and a short scene of (their) childhood (without bibs). I wonder what's in season 9. But I don't need it, perhaps very cheap or used.

-Comment: At least a girl (Natalie Vansier, pictured left with Sevier) in black and blue bibs. I coincidentally found a short TV recording. I like this series. Nice and touching acting of Sevier with Lassie and also of other actors. I don't remember all episodes, but I think few or medium bib scenes, but very good and excited plot of episodes. I also like other Lassie films and series, especially the original series in b/w. From that I own only 1st box of 1st season. And I don't remember any bib scenes except from old uncle Petey. So rating 5 for 1997. I have to look for my other recordings and will update this entry later.

Edit: I found other episodes on tape with blue bibs (image left). Same episode as the other image. I think early episode from 1997 (season 1). She also wears a sweater and a jeans jacket in another episode, and I think that there a bibs underneath. So it seems that she wears bibs more than once. Vansier also in "Dancing on the Moon (1997) and Sally Marshall Is Not an Alien (see that entries).

I don't have the time to watch every movie on archive.org. I searched using keywords farm and rural. The thumbnails depending on the total length of the film, normally 1 per minute and only sometimes luckily showing a scene with bibs. Mostly b/w of the 1940s, color of the 1960s. Perhaps I will find some more at some time. This is my 100th post. Images are a bit larger and can be zoomed, but poor quality.

-Comment: Several girls in bibs. At least in Part 1 and 2. Possibly more. I saw part one many years ago and I like this touching animal film and acting of Blake Heron in West Virginia. I didn' t remembered bib scenes there and I didn't even know, that there is more than one film. I saw a trailer of part 2 as a recommendation on YouTube. Image showing girl in part 2 called Shiloh 2: Shiloh Season (1999). I don't know her name. In part 1 Jessica Madison Wright in bibs ~11 ys and other girls. I don't know part 3 Saving Shiloh. I have to watch all movies. Assuming low-medium bib scenes. But bibs looking OK and good films, so rating 6.
