By coincidence also starring Richard Thomas. Hallmark co-production.
She later starred in bibs or similar in After The Harvest (2001) f/m rating 4 and Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy, rating 4. But I haven't checked all of her TV movies.
Rating ~4-5. Maybe 5. I think rather few (good) scenes. Young girl, no more actors. I prefer with floods The River (1984). Or Hurry Sundown.

A little update after my last comment. The one in dungarees is actually Kristen Alicia-Marie Bone born 25th March 1988 (from her Instagram) Mairon Bennett (June 1976) plays the older sister who only wears jeans. Couldn't find any filming info, but given it's a TV movie, it was likely filmed the same year as release (Nov 1997) so Kristen would have been 8-9yo and Mairon 20-21yo.
