-Comment: A young girl in medium colored (probably blue or maybe beige, but I assume blue jeans) bibs. Backside suspenders only. Might be 10 yo Jo Ann Marlowe (1935-1991) as 7 yo Ray.
Novel by James M. Cain. Also starring Jack Carson, Eve Arden and 17 yo sister Ann Blyth.
There is also a 2011 TV miniseries starring Kate Winslet, which I also have to check.
Sorry I didn't have enough time today. I found at least 3 streams with this title which are different movies and noticed it very late. So I will check and update this later.
But I assume rather few scenes of the girl and she is quite young. Not sure if other actors in bibs. One woman (maybe Mildred) wore a white dress similar to a sailor dress. So perhaps I have to add this to my other blog. There are also some boys acting, but probably not in bibs nor sailor suits. I think I won't like most parts of this movie.
