Update: Boys on the Side

And another movie completely rechecked. 2 more and much better pics of Drew Barrymore. Better quality and now showing the full length. Also another lady in faded shortalls at 1h10 (pic 3), not sure about her name, maybe a supporting actress. Also very good. Other pics at 1h16. Also a young man shirtless at 44 minutes.

A bit fewer scenes than first assumed.

Nice bibs.

Huckleberry Finn and His Friends (1979) – ep 9

The best episode concerning bibs so far. Finally some good rear views. Bibs are much tighter than I remembered. And shorter.

Pic 1 at 5 minutes, pic 2 sitting at 1 minute, also side/rear view standing (intro, taken from last episode), pic 3 walking at 3 minutes, pic 4 at 11 minutes walking upstairs. I think also some few close-up scenes there.

This time, pics are taken from my DVD set.

Book 94: Warner: The Boxcar Children #34 The Mystery Horse

I have announced this long time ago, but now I have rechecked this and even ordered.

Nice farm setting including boy(s) and girls in bibs. At least 2 girls (10+12 yo) in shortalls and one (older darkhaired boy, maybe 14 yo Henry) in bibs (illustrations). On the cover there's a young boy in bibs (Ben 6 yo) and the 2 girls.

Some parts can be found online. They found bibs, sturdy leather boots and bandanas in a barn and wear them.

As usual it takes some time to receive and read it. Published in 1993.

There'a also an audiobook. The movies including the upcoming one are animated movies.

I don't know the other parts of the books series. Some few have kids (at least girls) in bibs/shortalls as well. Maybe mainly the 10 yo girl. But #34 seems most of interest.

Update: Received. Several good illustrations (by Charles Tang), same as on the cover, showing all 4 in bibs. I haven't read much, yet. In the text, the 2 girls wear (long) bibs on the farm vacation as well.

Update 2: Completely read. Very good illustrations but rather few good mentionings. I somehow doubt that there are better books in this series.

Update: Survival on the Mountain (1997)

I only notice 2 very brief scenes at the beginning of Katie Stuart, mainly headshots, front and a bit more rear view. Fewer parts of bibs shown on widescreen versions.

So the previously pic (pic 1) is already the best. Bib at low position. But not that bad.

At least I now can confirm full length bibs. Also soon on my pigtails blog, rating ~4.

But it looks very interesting.

By coincidence, I've checked some few more episodes of this series. Mainly or only young girls in shortalls including this one in pink shortalls in s7e19.

Not bad but I prefer the long raw denim bibs. So rating ~3 for this only.
