-Comment: At least a boy in beige bibs, a young girl with pigtails in light blue bibs, some men in bibs and a woman in a blue apron, bibs or similar (pic 3 below). The family has in total 9 kids. Huge family and the table looks like The Waltons.

Looks quite interesting, set during and after WWI but I have to check this completetly. Typical (good) French movie.There are many similar movies with rural setting and kids during or after the wars (like the Pagnol movies, even with a similar title, see also my other blogs).

Directed by Jacques Renard, starring Roger Dumas, Fanny Cottencon and Bernard Le Coq.

Rating 6-7 for now. Probably not bad, but I prefer blue bibs and US movies.

Update: Completely checked. As assumed, most bibs appear to be aprons (woman, older girl 2 different aprons, younger girl dress, boys blue aprons). Only the dad and the older boy in beige bibs are real bibs. So much fewer scenes than first assumed. Update soon, also on my bedroom blog (rating ~7). Also shirtless scenes of a chubby and another boy. Great movie. For bibs, rating 6-7 was correct.

-Comment: Obviously at least 2 different ladies in bibs and shortalls. Probably Parker Posey (pic 2?) in brown or similar appearing bibs at a hay loft and another younger woman in shortalls maybe Christy Scott Cashman). Also some boys acting but none of them known in bibs.

I have checked again IMDb for the latest movies tagged farm (2010-now), checked some trailers and even the first was a success aka "The Love Guide".

Looks interesting but I can't say much more as the trailer where I have taken the pics from. Probably most will like it.

Rating 6-7 for now.

-Comment: 2 young blond girls (twins), one in red, one in blue bibs. About 3 very brief scenes in that house, dark lit and sometimes even hidden behind a stair-rail. The blue bib appears like nappa or plastic unlike the straps which might be hickory striped. One scene at the beginning and the rest much later. They are also shown together (in a distance), so probably 2 different actresses.

I don't know their names as uncredited on IMDb and other sites.

As announced, this had been aired yesterday. I have recorded it completely, maybe missing the first few minutes, but watched most of it at high speed. I also don't like this thriller. Maybe quite good for a German movie.

So rating 2 only.

Completely on YouTube but I also checked it at high speed only. What else should I say about this? I don't like that kind of "bibs" maybe something for my Lederhosen blog.

At least a good wooden bunk bed scene at the end but also nothing special.

List 28: The Waltons – Jim-Bob Walton

This is a list of  scenes with Jim-Bob (played by David W. Harper, born 1961 my 2nd favourite Walton) in bibs (next to Jason). For more infos see the main entry, the entry of each season and most of the story entries tagged as such. Note that this pics are not my most favourite pics of him and it's just to illustrate him and his different bibs throughout the ages. So this is a summary of my notes and recently checked episodes.

Although Jason is almost wearing bibs anytime (except as grown-up in about season 5), Jim-Bob is more often shown in bibs in the complete series. Only more often shown is their granddad. So I think I can't list every scene, but most of it. My favourite scenes are underlined. There are lots of good scenes. Of my favourite of younger Jim-Bob is a rear view at a tree house in dark bibs (S3e19).

Jim-Bob is very young the first seasons (see pics) and wearing bibs with simple suspenders on the back and often barefoot. Better scenes starting in season 3. Later he is very tall and very thin and often wears hickory striped bibs, but also blue dark bibs. I think never raw denim bibs. Few shirtless scenes (contrary to Ben) and few or no wet scenes. Update: The Waltons - Erin + boys

Season 6. Real bibs! Before I create a list about Jim-Bob I want to announce this scenes showing Erin in real jeans overalls which is very rare. No simple red cotton bibs with simple suspenders on the back as usual.

1st pic: s6e6 (1h10 on disk 2). Some good but short scenes. First sitting down and standing up. Front and rear view, embracing her friend (pictured) and than sit on the sofa. Faded/worn/ stone washed light blue bibs. I don't remember her age here, maybe around 17 or 18. Mary Ellen was pregnant (and astonishing not in bibs but a rare pregnacy dress).

Pic 2 showing boys at the bus station in s6e9 (at 6 minutes). One boy about 8 or 9yo in dark blue bibs (rear view only) and a younger boy in light blue bibs (front view but in the distance). Another handsome boy in this scene, but not in bibs.

Jim-Bob in very good blue and black appearing and sometimes hickory striped bibs (soon on my list or my other entries, like the tight bibs on the beach). Elizabeth, now older in raw denim bibs.

Book 30: Robert Newton Peck: TRIG

I now have finished this thin paperback book about the tomboy Trig with pigtails. Quite funny. But no girls or women in bibs. As mentioned before the illustrations by Pamela Johnson are far not as good as on the cover. One boy clearly wearing bibs as the other wears a shirt over them. The kids are shown even much younger like toddlers and chubby.One pic of an older teen boy/young man who helps on the farm carrying a milk bucket but it's not very good either. One page is missing, but probably nothing much better there.

2 descriptions of bibs, page 21, one boy in faded bibs with hands on his hibs. Legs apart. Both barefeet (on the cover only one).

Page 34: She wants revenge and imagined the boys go for a swim and undress their bibs, so she could make knots in the pantlegs. Paperbook 1979 edition. 58 pages. Large and small b&w illustrations.

Although farm content and a typical kid's story, I somehow don't like this book and already have forgotten nearly all of it.Typical girl's book about a strong girl defeating boys. I now continue Soup Ahoy, also by Peck, which is a bit better, but not as good yet as my other Soup books. I think I will finish that soon as well and continue To Kill a Mockingbird. Somehow I have bad luck with books. But most novels (for grown-ups) are often boring so I think I will continue buying children's books with illustrations.But not for too young kids. But there aren't many good ones. Or I still haven't found them. Also see my previous entries.

Erin Walton in shortalls - The Waltons

14 yo Erin Walton (Mary Beth McDonough) barefoot in light patterned shortalls in s3e15 "The Lie" (CD4 at 2h50). Look similar to Mary Ellen's and John-Boy's shirts.Maybe selfmade or by her mom.

I don't like Erin much. In early episodes she wears short dresses (pic see season 1) and dark blue or purple non-jeans bibs, and in season 3 and 4 she often wears light red or peach bibs (simple suspenders on the back only) Pic 2 from s4e1 also showing Jason and Mary Ellen. I don't remember Erin wearing real jeans bibs except as grown up in season 8.

I won't make a list entry of Erin or Elizabeth except for some story entries.

I have almost finished season 3 which only has very few perfect scenes of Jim-Bob and Jason (rear view) and some others. Rating 7 only for that season and 4 for those shortalls.

There's also an older teen girl (next to Erin and Ben in sailor suits / sailor dresses). Soon on my other blog.
