Searching for an ELT series called Stepping Stones, I stumbled again on the "Circle C" and other book series by Susan K. Marlow. I have, I think 3 books from different series. There are different lines each, aimed for a different age (Beginnings, Stepping Stones, Adventures, Milestones). Next to Circle C there is the Goldtown series (Western with a boy as main character but not in bibs). In Spring 2027 there will be a new series called Timberland (or Timberland Trails) about a lumber family. I probably will buy some.
On the main (publisher's) site there's a photo of 2 boys in bibs (13 yo Micah and redhaired 9 yo Gideon. The other long redhaired kid is a 12 yo girl called Jenny, their sister, the main character (I first thought it's a boy). The (working title of the) first book is Trouble in Tacoma. The girl obviously also wore bibs as shown on earlier cover designs

For a sample, one needs to sign up for a newsletter (I didn't). All series are set in the 1870s/1880s and are around the girl character Andi, here as side character and friend. The author has different sites including a blog of character Andi, also having some contents about the new books, including PDFs, characters, book covers and fanfiction.
