Brand: Clothing tags, Webfinds

Searching for the brand(s) of the Dutch 80s series (Kinderen voor Kinderen 1, upcoming post about Briefgeheim) I found via pinterest a blog with many vintage tags (originally taken from a Japanese site). Here is a sample with just from JC Penney. It proves that this and other brands often changed their logos throughout the decades.

So it's even more difficult to identify a brand but rather find a year. But often tags are removed anyway, so you have to check the other characteristics like buttons, holes, stiches, seams, brand patches etc. I currently have ~100 brands in my database and every brand has ~10 different tags. With modern brands there are 1000s of different tags. Some sites also show the different buttons. Some focused on Levi's.

I previously considered re-watching all episodes of The Waltons. I never paid attention to the brands. I found Jason (always ?) wearing Lee (stich / on the bib and vertical hole left) and Zeb wearing Big Smith (old label) in s4e1 and another pair with removed tag on the left and Jim-Bob at least in OshKosh (season 3). I will first check some favourite episodes and soon make a post, but checking all episodes will take months. I hope to also find rare brands. The blog (stopped blogging but also has a good link list)
