-Comment: By checking 60s movies, I first found the 1988 TV movie starring Kirk Douglas. I only noticed one teen boy at school in bibs. Very brief scene, mainly rear view standing up at 4 minutes. Maybe it's Jason Marin (Back to the Future (1985) rating 4, both pics also re-uploaded) as Howard. There's also a lady in a sailor suit (white blouse and collar). 90% are set at court.

I also have checked the 1960 movie starring Spencer Tracy. At 3 there's a young man (student) at school in dark bibs and tie (brief scene, headshot). At ~17 minutes there are 3 young boys in bibs outside (pic 2). Brief scene partial view. One boy is on the left in the crowd behind the man. Also some few men in bibs.

For the brief scenes rating ~2-3. 

There's also a 1965 TV movie (Hallmark Hall of Fame 15.2) starring Ed Begley and 15 yo Doug Chapin as Howard (not in bibs at least not at court), but I haven't found that. There are several plays. 

I found a trailer of a 2012 play (boy, rating ~4) coming soon. The original play was in 1955.
