Update: The Children Nobody Wanted

childrennobodywanted4childrennobodywanted6

My recent purchase, previously rated 7, now rating 8. Several scenes of in total 3 boys and some men. But most scenes are headshots or distance views only. There are 3, almost perfect scenes, all scenes of a boy walking, but all perfect scenes are very short.

First bibs occurence at 37 minutes and I would have given rating 7 for that brief scenes but there are some more and 2 perfect scenes qualifying for rating 8 (or even more) although they are very short. I first thought that the expensive DVD was a waste of money. The image quality of the official RC0 DVDr is at some parts quite bad, but the best scenes have acceptable quality.

The amount of kids at the foster home of the young couple in 1959 or 1962 is growing slowly from 1-10 kids (1 girl on Christmas at the end, not in bibs, but one boy on Christmas). No farm scenes (gardening but not in bibs, and repairing the roof, 2 in bibs).

Best scene is pic 1 at 1h00 (front+rear view), bib at high position. 2nd best scene is pic 2 at 37 minutes. Starting side view and turning to front while an arm on his shoulders. 3rd perfect scene is walking in the house (pic on the main entry). Pic 3 below at 54 minutes, also interesting standing very close to another boy. The light blond boy wearing dark blue bibs on Christmas.

2 more pics on the main entry. I don't like the darkhaired boy wearing glasses. He has faded bibs, bib at low position and different colored legs on the rear. I think one other boy in bibs but headshots only. The boys in bibs also wear other clothes. Some other quite good scenes (jeans, shirtless in sleeping bags).

One blond boy holding his hands in front of his lap. I will make 1 or 2 separate story entries later.

I only have seen this movie once. Maybe I will change my rating or find something more of interest. It's hard to rate movies with short scenes compared to series like The Waltons. But 3 perfect scenes and handsome actors makes at least 7-8.
