The Seven Little Foys
Drama starring Bob Hope
-Year: 1955
-Year in film: 1913 (bibs)
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: Charley ~13, 2 boys ~4 & 6
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: yes, DVD
-Bib occurrence: low
-Rating: 6/10
-Rating: ******
-Comment: Lee Erickson in good blue bibs (pictured in the middle) and 2 younger boys in coveralls. Sadly only 2-3 short bib scenes. But one longer, very good scene. Charley, the second oldest boy drinks a bottle of beer and gets spanked over the knee of his dad (Bob Hope as Eddie Foy). The film was nominated for an Oscar but I don't like it much except for the bib scenes. Few singing and some acting on Broadway stage (father and the seven kids in different costumes) and some good pics of historic cars and train (also inside). Movie starts and ends in 1913 and then partly in 1898 where he had no kids but mostly in 1913. UK DVD has no extras (even no trailers), no other laguages or subtitles. Rating 6 stays. No trailers or other clips webwide except for a small dancing scene with 2 men. There is also a later (1964) b/w version called "Bob Hope presents the Chrysler Theatre" and a 2007 stage play.
Also a young girl in blue sailor suit, see my other blog.
