Although I haven't finished Huckleberry Finn and His Friends, I've started to rewatch The Sugar Creek Gang movies and also reading my books. I already have posts about all 5 movies, but now I've focussed on the DVD extras.
The Behind the Scenes clips are shot with a different camera showing different colors (of the bibs). Of course, there's a different light at different angles (sunlight/backlight) but the colors seem to be more realistic as the main movies have too much red (magenta and yellow). Probably on purpose, maybe to make the creek more muddy.
Pic 1 from film #4 showing a comparison of the film (top) and the behind the scenes. Dragonfly in front of the cave entry. His bibs appear much lighter and more faded.
Pic 2 is from film#5 also showing Poetry and Little Jim. Clearly doesn't look like a professional movie.
The best quality and realistic colors are the numerous pics in the different photo galleries on all DVDs. Pic 3 below showing a detail of Dragonfly from a photo on DVD#5. But I think this scene is from film#4. The final DVD has some photos of all episodes.
Pic 4 is a comparison of film#2. I think the bibs are wet on both pics (even before being pulled into the water) but the colors appear much different. Please note the shirt which doesn't appear white on top.
No notable scenes in the Deletes Scenes (DVD#1 only nor Script to film clips). Very interesting are also the audio commentaries of the 2 makers. In one there's also Dragonfly present.
Some more posts later. Main overview entry, rating 10
