I found some dime novels, this time with boys in bibs. I don't own any of those. Previously, I searched for dime novels mainly with alpine or doctors plot (often has boys in Lederhosen). These are about moms.
Often, the cover pics varies (replaced on later editions, especially for audiobooks) and there's often no mentioning in the text.
Most kids are very young and not the main characters in these romances.
There are many dime novels. And older issues are often hard to find and if so then not separately but bundled in 5 or 10s.
Bibs (and boy) in pic 2 are quite interesting. Sitting on a beach? Overlapping straps.
