–Comment: I think Christian Berrigan (pic 1) around 11 or 12 yo as Soup in faded, blue bibs. I think only a very brief scene at the beginning. Also a man later. ABC Weekend Specials s1e11.
Probably the same boy and bibs like in the 2nd movie called Soup for President (rating 6, also with a girl) which has some more scenes.
In Soup and Me there's also a skinny dipping scene and a boy wearing a dress. Also starring Shane Sinutko (LHOTP like Berrigan) as Rob, but not in bibs.
I also own both books. Great 1930s series including different illustrations.
