I don't know/don't remember this movie. To me it looks like a typical high school movie. But bibs and actress could be worse. One a widescreen clip I can only see the straps of the blue bibs scene. I don't know of any good scenes of the complete bibs (or rear view). Maybe there are even more actresses in bibs. But I assume few (good) scenes.

Rating 4 for now. I have to check this again later the next broadcasting.

Info 192: Exclusive pic #1 1940s Missouri class pic bib overalls

A mixed 1943 Missouri school class, all boys except two wearing bib overalls, kneeling at the first row. Three in hickory striped bibs. I used to buy vintage pics for my sailor suit blog (tag stories) and I coincidentally found this one, although later than my searching category <1940. I currently don't buy photos anymore, so this might be my first and last one, sorry. (I have lots of pics on my PD albums). I hope you like this pic. The condition is quite good, so I only had to remove some scratches for some few hours. On some 1890s sailor suit pics I worked for many days. Click for high-res (then magnifying glass on Picasa).

Novel by Olive Higgins Prouty and there is also a 1937 and 1990 ("Stella") remake which are more famous. 1937 starring Barbara Stanwyck, 1990 starring Bette Midler. But I haven't checked the other versions yet. The 1990 version seems to be set in the 1990s.

Originally I searched for other movies starring Jack Murphy (1911-1962, "Peter Pan (1924)"), see my sailor suit blog rating 5). I only have checked this silent film briefly. It's in the Public Domain (not on archive.org yet, but on YouTube (in a bad quality, embedded below). 106 minutes, officially released on a DVD-r. The DVD quality seems better (but you can't expect much more due to it's age).

There are two younger boys, including Jack Murphy, I think in night shirts, maybe not in bibs. I like classic movies, but maybe silent movies are not for everyone. Directed by Henry King.

Rating 3-4 for now.

Info 191: Update: Kinderen voor Kinderen

Teen boy + girl in bibs. I don't know how I could miss this one, I even own this DVD "20 jaar de grootste hits" for some years and have just seen it again. It's from the song "Smoorverliefd" (Kinderen voor Kinderen 18, 1997, 1st pic).

I often listening to these Kids' songs but rarely watch my DVD as I like watching movies instead. And this is a slow and touching song and I prefer the more active and funny songs.

The teens are in the background choir, except the 2nd girl from left who is singing with a handsome boy. Dancing very slowly and also everybody sitting and kneeling on the stage, but only one good kneeling scene (with bibs) and that showing their backs. The girl in white or similar bibs, one strap down, the boy in good dark blue jeans bibs.

I still don't know all songs and shows. A song is often performed at least twice (a video clip and at least a studio live performance of the annual contest). Often kids occured in some other clips of that year and some even some years before or after.

Update 2: 3 more pics of season 18 and 19 (19 last pic) from the dungaree movies blog. I can't say much more about these as I don't know moving scenes and also not the songs. I think I prefer the early songs (including season 15 which I have seen on TV). For the new pics I rate 5-6 for now. Kids seem not too handsome and a bit younger. Bibs also quite baggy.

And another one from the dungareemovies blog. Thanks. I think I have never seen this series. However these boys are very young. Obviously only some short scenes in some episodes (ep 3,5,6,11,13,14,18, all in season 1).Not sure about season 2. More details on Felix' blog.

I can't say much more yet, I like comedy shows and also Osment, bus I have to check more of it. At least a black teen girl in a medium blue jeans dress or skirtalls in season 2 and also at last a man in camouflage working bibs. I haven't found any moving images of Haley in bibs. Maybe there are even more actors in bibs?

Rating 3-4 for now due to the young age. Maybe the series is a bit better. Also other kids were acting. But there are definitely better series.

Update: Most scenes are very brief and he also wears a close jacket. Felix gave rating 1-3, except for s1e11 rating 7. Many scenes there and playing Football. He's very young. I think, I still can only give rating 3-4.

I found this during research for sailor fuku movies for my other blog. Aka Ginza Kankan Girl (Ginza Can-Can Girls or Ginza Street Girl), original title "銀座カンカン娘".

I don't know this complete movie and I don't like these bibs, but it was maybe quite rare wearing bibs for a woman in these days.

Thanks very much for this suggestion. I like farm movies and coming-of-age movies and also Wil Wheaton and I probably don't have to tell anything about this famous actor. But obviously rather few (good) scenes, not even bibs scenes in all of the farm scenes.

I don't know the complete movie but I think I can give a rating of 7-8 but have to check it again. Rated PG-13. Based on a play by William Borden.

Kidsongs TV Show

One brief post today of the Kidsongs TV Show (1987-1998, same as the Kidsongs videos but with additional host scenes and guests). I also have ordered the DVD Country Sing-Along (see some entries ago). There were only some few clips, about 3 online, including an official and a IMDb clip, but I was missing the best scenes. Rating 7 up, so I need this on DVD. Updating after receiving and watching. Not too expensive and the music is also good.

Sorry I don't have the time for checking clips of the Kidsongs TV Show for pics to use as I had some security issues, not/not yet involving this blog (anybody else?). Spam, scam, phishing and the like is nothing special, but this might be a bigger problem. I hope to be able to post the next days.

2 good farm scenes of the girl (also showing from behind) and some few and short other scenes in the house and garage. She also wears regular jeans and a dark blue or black school uniform (skirt + bow tie, also sitting in that with legs/feet on a couch). Sitting in bibs at a table, but only showing briefly from the side/behind. One short scene of her film mom in black bibs shoveling hay to cows on the left (partly shown, bad view mainly from the side and a bit blurred).

The movie is quite good also showing some scenes at school (boys and girls in school uniforms) and also a soap box derby (some few older teen boys in racing coveralls).

Rating 3-4. Bibs are a bit baggy and I like red haired actors, farm work, but the best scenes for me is the sitting scene (few seconds). The movie itself is a bit better (rating 4-5). ON DVD. German title: Das große Rennen. I thought, I already had that entry, but it's another soap box movie.

Update: Now I own the DVD "Country Sing-A-Long". It's 25 minutes (10 songs, some without bibs) + 10 minutes of 4 or 5 clips from other DVDs (incl one of this one, only one more with boys and men in bibs (rating 4-5, mostly hickory stripes). Luckily the original DVD is RC0, so I can watch it on the big screen. Dolby 5.1 and 2.0, No subtitles, Ages 1-8.

My favourite song and bibs scenes are in "Achy Breaky Heart" (see this hips post) with Matthew Bartilson "dancing" in bibs and cowboy boots. Lifting a leg and clapping with the hands underneath the thigh. Also turning around but  hardly to see. I only noticed one good rear view on song "Nashville Cats" Very high back bib piece. Also a brief rear view of the girl. And the riding scenes (boy) could also be better. The 1st song "Swingin'" (1st pic) is also very good. I only had the time to watch the DVD once and I don't know how often I will watch it.

Short DVDs have advantages and disadvantages. I rather prefer movies and series. And I also prefer raw denim bibs but I kinda like this boy (the bibs reminds me of Dragonfly in The Sugar Creek Gang, rating 10).

The girl pictured is called Charlotte in the song and I think is Kati Floberg (on the right Kyle Stanley (not in bibs here but in Locomotion). Matthew (with the glasses and riding) is her brother (also just in this song). All kids are credited at the end, but I don't know who is who. Maybe I will buy more Kidsongs DVDs but I doubt that there are better DVDs including boys. The 2nd pic of the main entry is also from this DVD. There are some good scenes like horse tricks, standing on horses. They should do a remake with more bibs scenes. Also the Biggles in bibs. One young girl in skirtalls with blue straps and a colorful skirt.

I like US kids and farm and country content, and some songs are catchy and some kids quite handsome but there are better songs. For kids songs I prefer Kinderen voor Kinderen.

But rating even 8-9. Also now on my western blog.

She appeared later in this series and there are rather few (good) scenes of her showing the complete bibs (mainly front, few rear view). Also very few scenes of men in bibs (one at a zoo in green working bibs in one of the last episodes). Perfect, but few Lederhosen scenes (rating 10 on my other blog, same episode).

Good Bavarian series about 2 old ladies managing a camping site. Many quite good supporting actors (many kids) in shorts/shiny shorts swimwear and similar clothing (mostly in the background). Good plot and some famous actors. Also starring father and brother of her Willy and Peter Millowitsch.

Sequel to "La traversée du phare (1999)" (but produced in 1997), same actors, including her. Looks also good, probably even much better, but I don't know/remember that movie nor bibs scenes in there.

She played the role of Marie and boy Yann (?!) but I think only bibs as the girl character. Interesting gender trouble. Together on one DVD.

I found this by coincidence during research for my sailor suit blog. I searched for Michal Suchánek (but there are 2 actors with the same name). I only have checked some parts of it. Looks very interesting. Though I prefer US farm movies. Very high IMDb rating of 7.1. There is also a sequel 25 years later.

I have to check it completely and hope for a soon broadcasting.

Rating 5 for now. But I think I wouldn't buy it for jeans bibs scenes. By coincidence its currently completely on YouTube, but I don't understand Czech.

Update: The dungareemovies blog now have some pics, and the bibs are better than thought (at least rear view, almost raw denim). Maybe one of the best East European bibs movie, but I prefer "hot" (climate) US farm movies and actors. So upgrading from 5 to 6 but not more. I still wouldn't buy it.

7th Heaven – s2e16

I think this is 13 or 14 yo Kirsten Storms in s2e16 of 7th Heaven. Bibs seem very baggy, but can hardly be seen as she is holding books in front of her chest. Or she's just too thin. I don't know of any other/better scenes with her. I also don't remember why I haven't uploaded this pic before, maybe because there's nothing much to see. There's also Julie Marie Berman in baggy beige bibs (and braces)  in this season s2e5 (see season 2 entry).

Thanks for suggesting this quite rare movie. I don't know/don't remember it completely, so I can't say much more about it.

Also starring Kathren Laurents, Kevin Cabriales and Harry Johnson. Jefferson also starred in "Holes" next to LaBeouf.

Maybe a quite good but typical animal movie. But I can only give a 3-4 rating for now. No clips to embed. The light blue bibs of LaBoeuf are better, also the bibs of the girl.  Hope for a soon TV broadcasting.

Good plot but I have to check it again at slow speed. And I missed the last 10/15 minutes.

I found a girl in very baggy beige bibs in s2e15 or s2e16 talking to Simon but holding something in front of her chest, so the bibs can't be really seen.

I also have now seen completely Children of the Corn V. One more scene of a teen girl in blue bibs, not nothing of interest and not shown completely.

I have seen a preview of this movie and it's quite interesting. Main characters are a 13 yo boy (Kacey as Simon "Home (2008) starring Isabelle Huppert), but also other kids and women. Not sure if women/grown-up in bibs.

I can't say much more and have to check this again later. Sorry no pics yet. Directed by Ursula Meier (who also did Home (2008).

Info 186: Update: The Runaway (2000) sitting

I now have completely seen "The Runaway (2000)" still "only" rating 8. This movie (or better this scene) made me creating the tags "sitting M/F" although 13 yo Cody Newton on the left didn't wear bibs in this scene). Though his older black teen friend did before in a boat. The light blue bibs of his older brother (?) are also not bad. Sadly only 2 more but short scenes of Cody Newton in bibs.

First I even considered rating 10, but it could be much better. But thanks again for this suggestion! Teens, farm and wet bibs. Friendship between a white and a black boy in the 1940s. Good Hallmark stuff.

I thought that I already had this entry but I couldn't find it. Very good teen film about video games but also some serious and touching scenes. Lots of supporting actors in 80s clothing in the second half. But I didn't noticed any other in bibs.

Some good scenes, but I don't like shortalls.

Info 185: New tags Sitting M / F

I started to add the tags Sitting F and Sitting M (Female/Males) for actors sitting in bibs. Note the following

Only sitting scenes, including sitting on the floor, kneeling  and standing up or similar movements not including cycling (tag bicycle) nor riding. And only sitting if you can see the lap, so not sitting at a table where you only can see the chest. And only if not too far in the background.

I think thats one of my best ideas since blogging. I have no idea how many entries that will be (probably more males), and this might take some days as updating posts works quite slowly.

Please also note, that I don't know all movies completely, so feel free to comment if you miss something.

I will also later make some lists and additions to the femal/boys' subpages of the best entries. Maybe I will add similar tags or lists for other positions or activities (like lying or rear view).
