I was sure I've seen the brown haired boy (in the middle) in bibs at around 15-20 minutes. But probably it was just a jeans jacket and a backpack. Also 2 other girls just wore similar clothes (a dress and no shortalls but jeans shorts and a shirt with the same color). So only the teen girl in turquoise and beige shortalls. Sorry.

Previously I missed 1 h now 20 minutes.

I had to watch the complete movie at high speed. But I think I haven't missed any scenes. The movie itself is also nothing special. Very low IMDb rating of 3.6.

I only have seen the trailer and some pics. Bibs appear almost black in some scenes and raw denim on the DVD cover but it looks like a kind of modern melange fabric.

Movie seems interesting and the boy is blond, freckled and handsome. But he's very young and bibs are typical for young boys and toddlers.

Sorry, I can't say much more yet and hope for a soon broadcasting.

Story 88: Brownies Girl Guides scouts overall

I read in a 1930s British book about Brownies overall (missing the s at the end). I understand that Brownies are 7-8 yo girls of the Girl Guides, a scout-like organization. Not sure what overall means here.

I did some research but couldn't find any real overalls. No pics and no text. Nearly always they talk about uniforms. There are different uniforms throughout the years and different ones for older girls. There are also different types of funny hats.

Young girls these days mainly wore short slipover dresses. I also have seen some with straps looking like skirtalls (1970s, maybe also earlier). Older girls and women often wore longer clothes, looking like coats or maybe even coveralls, colored in dark blue. Modern uniforms are different. Often 2 pieces or just a vest.

Later I read that during WWII the Brownies uniforms were often selfmade sometimes from curtains or overalls. And also that Brownies used to wear overalls for camp.

Quite interesting subject and you also find vintage boy scouts and other pics during research.

Does anybody know more about scouts and overalls?

I bought this DVD several years ago. I used to buy these kind of coming-of-age movies.

The plot isn't bad, Ingmar Bergman: "Deeply impressive", nice humiliating scene of the boy in the girl's dressing room (bare bottom) and quite handsome 12 yo boy (but freckles+pimples). Probably that's the DVD I watch the least often. Once or twice.

The DVD I own is Swedish with Dutch and French subtitles. No notable extras except some trailers.

Bibs are not bad, but rating 1-2 for this brief scene only. Plot rating 6-7. Boy rating 5-6.

db1 suggested a movie called "Was wenn der Tod uns scheidet?" which has the same female director, Ulrike Grote (I found some pics but couldn't find streaming clips for that).

So I found this, but can't say much more yet and have to recheck it later the next broadcasting. At least real farm work, rating 4-5 for now. There's also a related 2013 TV series with the same title (but maybe different actors).

Someone found an interesting fan fiction story involving a girl in bibs (comment on the recent Dallas update).

Can be watched on tivi.de. Although I have re-checked it there I'm still not sure if snow pants or snow bibs. At least 2 pants with suspenders (black+dark purple of Alina, pictured) and the other maybe the girl in the pink pants. Dressing on party shown, suspenders down (rear view) but the scenes are so filmed and cut that it's hardly to say. In the same scene pictured where Alina is sitting, it doesn't look like bibs (or she just has her sweater over them and under them for this drinking ritual or they had to reshoot that scene with a different pair). Funny baptizing drinking a drink running down a ski. Also side/rear view is shown.

I don't like posting pics from Reality TV shows but I make exceptions for very good and funny scenes. I have very few snow bibs entries.

Also a weird question on my recent post concerning if guys shirtless in bibs are good or bad guys. Can anybody help? I don't pay much attention to (older) men.
