Update: Emu’s All Live Pink Windmill Show

I've checked some few more episodes and found out the correct episode of the previous post (s2e9 (1985)). Another episode with same bibs and/or kids (song Footloose, in and outside, pic 2). But none of the clips, I found is better than rating 7-8.

Pics 1+3+4 are from a clip called "Emu's Pink Windmill Kids Splits Compilation", so unknown episodes, also showing a girl and I think boy in Roller Skates also doing a split, also a boy doing a split in Footloose. Nice gymnastics.

Pic 5 is from the song This Ole House (1982) showing an older girl sitting in dark red bibs, a girl dancing in turqouise bibs, unpictured a young girl dancing in purple bibs.

Update: A Country Practice (1981)

I recently found this series, but I already had an entry. Probably showing the same lady, Penny Cook as Vicky not in blue but this time in tight tan, beige or similar bibs, around 24 yo in season 1. Pic 1 from season 1 (compilation, unknown episode), pic 2 from ep 58 but from the intro (season 2, 1982). Also hands in pockets (ep 112) and probably also sitting.

There are also men in tan bibs (young and old, at least in season 10). Maybe some more actors/actresses?

Movie is very rare but there's a VHS. After finding "The Hounted School (1986)" for my sailor suit blog (unknown#25) and recently buying that DVD, I searched for more movies with Emil Minty (the younger film brother in The Winds of Jarrah).

According to the screenshots probably rather few bibs scenes. Maybe also others.

Book 88: Michele R. Webb: My Folks - And The One-room Schoolhouse - A Treasury Of One-room School Stories Shared By Capper's Readers

Few days ago I thought, that I knew all plots. But imagine this. A boy at an one-room schoolhouse had to stand next to the oven until his overalls caught fire or at least smoke rose up. (Page 64). 2 or 3 more mentionings of bibs, unfortunately only snippet views on Google Books and no "search inside" on Amazon.

A general description on page 2, that boys wore bibs and heavy shoes and one scene on page 35 set in 1928 that a boy was proud of the bibs from Sears Roebuck (I think on Christmas).

Co-author Diana J. Edwardson Persell. Capper Press (and Grit). 1990s. There are also other books in the "My Folk" series (partly other authors). Most or all set in Kansas during the Great Depression as well. Most are also about bibs but I haven't found notable scenes. In Back to the Basics, a preschool-boy talks about bibs on the floor and that he didn't wear underwear. 1 or 2, I can't find on Google books others not on Amazon.

Update: I missed the part, that the shoes squeaked when walking. (Not at school but maybe there as well later). I had the noises of the overalls fabric when walking (search stiff pant legs, one-room schoolhouses, tag sound).

English titles: "The Knickerbocker Gang: The Talking Grave" and "Snoopers". Aka Die Knickerbockerbande - Der Film. Available at least on an Austrian VHS (OOP) and an US DVD Snoopers. Not to be confused with the series or book cover also containing screenshots from the movie. I haven't found a German DVD nor a stream online. Does anybody know it?

Update: The Fields (2011)

2 better pics of this one. Briefly checked at high speed. Bibs are faded and not that dark as in the old pic (main entry, pic 2 at 1h09). Fewer scenes than assumed. He mainly wore regular jeans. Nice rear view, being embraced at 35 minutes. Also lying on the stomach, I think in bibs at the end in front of the corn field. Probably no other scenes in bibs there.

Could be much better. Nice setting. But few scenes and I don't like at all this actor and curly hair.

Book 87: Robert Burch: Tyler, Wilkin, and Skee

After long research, I finally found a book, that I have ordered. Sounds interesting. 3 brothers in bibs set in 1930s Georgia. Most parts can be found on Google Books, but I only checked the bibs scenes there. Illustrations by Don Sibley.

The youngest boy is 7yo. Obviously they don't like wearing bibs as the town boys at school wear pants. Also described that they should not wear the dirty bibs as mom ironed clean ones. And new pairs as present on Christmas.

Robert Burch wrote some more books, most with same time and setting. But maybe less of interest (to me), at least 2 with tomboys as main characters (Queenie Peavy and 2x Ida Early) but also have boys in bibs (at least on the covers). I might check the other books later.

The 1987 TV movie "The Incredible Ida Early" also has at least a teen girl in bibs (rating 5). Still on my "rare movies list". I must have seen a screenshot long time ago and have to search for it. I thought of a milking white girl, but it's from "The Sweetest Gift" (rating 6). I think a white teen girl in the novel (or cover) but a black actress in the movie.

As usual more infos later when book received.

Update: Now completely read. Quite poor. No more notable scenes. At the end, the 2nd youngest putting a dollar bill in his top pocket. 3 brothers and the youngest one is smart. Good idea. But could have been much better. In Soup there are 2 friends. Much better book series.

She is also shown wearing black bibs (or shortalls) and faded and other bibs with one strap down in publicity pics (and some vids like "Justin Bieber - Love Yourself | Carlotta Truman (16)" on YouTube, two years ago).

She probably don't appear in bibs in the real final show. Maybe also others?
