During research for the name of the blond boy in the sailor suit (on that blog rating 5) I found another, older teen boy in dark yellow bibs like a hippie. Also funny hats. I haven't noticed him earlier in the movie. The other teen boy in the white bibs is probably another teen boy?

I like watching overalls (movies) but also like reading about them or listen. Often they are not mentioned as in some cases they are the ordinary clothes like in the 1900-1950s or on farms.

So I don't remember a movie where they talk about them except My Dog Shep (rating 7, pictured) and some few mentioning in The Waltons (Olivia said coveralls to the overalls and there is a scene with Erin in later seasons).

There are audiobooks but I haven't searched for them. The problem is that in most cases it's a professional grown up who is reading it. So you first must have a good text and then a good voice. Maybe even a text-to-speech voice. Then you can listen to anything you imagine. I talked about audios before. Another thing are songs. Even more rare. Update: See Hellzapoppin' (man rating 3).

Uploading audio or even videos in wordpress don't work in the free version, so I uploaded this short vid/audio file (WMV) to Picasa.

The main character (left, a city boy) lost his parents at an accident and moved to his uncle on a farm. The mean cousin rummaged his suitcase, wonders why he uses "pyjamas" for sleeping and asked "where's your overhawl" (or overhaul).

He don't have any and used a pair of his cousin. The cousin isn't shown in bibs.

I still like the movie, although the image and sound quality is quite bad.

Maybe a higher rating for the western itself. Although I don't like Italo westerns.

Update: I have briefly checked some parts of the movie in HD. 

There are 2 boys. One boy ~9 yo at ~3-10 minutes (also with a soap in mouth) and a teen boy in hickory striped bibs (headshot only) at 4. Also another teen boy at 1h53 (distance only) and a man in faded bibs walking distance at 1h52. Maybe some more. But very few good scenes. So rating 4 was correct for the bibs scenes.

Update: The Little Rascals Save the Day

Has been aired yesterday. As already known many good bibs scenes of this girl (tomboy) and the movie is set in the presence, although the clothes of the gang and many props looks like the 1920s, the time of the original Little Rascals / Our Gang series.

In 2 scenes she looks like a boy with her hair hidden under a cap. I even thought at the wrestling scene that that's another boy.

Pic 1 at 1h05 she's grabbing her bib (maybe even lifting up the overalls), previously she also grabbed her straps and also have her hands in the pockets. Bibs and fabric are very good although she's quite young and very thin. Pic 2 at school is at 5 minutes and her back reminds me of The Sugar Creek Gang. Flappy legs and bottom and bibs in the crack. At all other scenes her bottom looks ordinary round and the bibs filled. She also wore bibs and a white apron over them.

Good family movie but of course not as good as the 1994 movie (also boys in bibs, rating 5) or the original classic series.

I fist found the novel "L'ete de Mathieu" by Francis Rick and Marina Edo with the main character depicted in blue bibs. But I haven't found him in bibs in the movie.

I have seen the movie some years ago on TV and there are some good scenes of boys in yellow and green shorts on the beach.

The series is very interesting and I have 2 entries on my bedroom blog (both rating 6). There's also a young girl in pink bibs in a different episode (coming soon, rating 4). My favourite episode is "L'enfant sage" but this isn't anymore on YouTube. It's even possible that that is my unknown "Italian" movie but probably not.

I have one entry of his movie Keinohrhasen (woman, boy, rating 3). I haven't seen any of his movie completetly.

Another 80s cult movie directed by Joe Dante starring Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix. But probably nobody would buy the DVD without them.

Entertaining family adventure and there are many good scenes of handsome Ethan but I was a bit disappointed. I have seen this movie before. Ethan didn't wear jeans. Both pants are of corduroy fabric what I don't like. There are many similar movies and River is much better in Stand By Me. The aliens are funny and good for it's time but annoying.

–Comment: 2 uncredited brothers and a man at Christmas set on a farm in the 1940s in s1e13. Woman and girls in later episodes (woman in s2e1).

Perfect and touching 80s series and I think everyone know that. I recently bought this and have just seen this episode. (I previously had seen this series several times on TV but don't remember this episode.)

This scene is the same plot as in Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" (The Ghost of Christmas Past, played by Landon), so the past of the main protagonist in this episode, a mean car salesman. He is 8 yo in this scene (not in bibs) and pulling his sister at her pigtails. The boys in bibs are their brothers. The flashback scene is only dreamt by Victor French.

Only a brief scene at 18 minutes. And bibs are mainly shown from the side and rear or partial /headshots. The blue bibs are very good. But for the brief scenes only rating 5-6. I hope to find more bibs scenes in later episodes.

Info 396: webfinds 1980

I like the 80s and sometimes searching for 80s (non-bibs) stuff and also find some in bibs. Some time ago I had problems finding some good 80s pics, especially faces and 80s haircut for photoshopping. Now many good pics on smugmug. I only checked some pics with keyword 1980s. Probably more for 1981, 1982 etc

The Butcher Boy (1997)

–Comment: Irish and redhaired Eamonn Owens and other teen boys in medium blue bibs and a belt. Also in a long butcher's leather apron and I think this or a brown shirt or west under his/their bibs along another long sleeved shirt. Farm work. Bibs appear light blue in a different scene but I think it's the same pair. I only noticed this long scene in the middle of the movie.

How could I miss this one? I always considered watching and buying this movie for many years but I never did. I checked it now on YouTube but at high speed.

Unfortunately few good scenes and quite dark or in the backlight. And the other boys either don't wear bibs or sweaters over them. And least quite good and rare British farm scenes.

Quite interesting plot and movie but for the bibs scenes I can only rate 4-5 for now. Also good dorm scenes.

Interesting horror movie which I found by coincidence. Not sure if it's availabe in better image quality. There are some DVD compilations with it. Uncut?

Available on YouTube and archive.org but in that quality. Few bibs scenes anyway. Handsome blond girl.

Update: I found a stream in a much better image quality. Bibs are not blue but obviously black.

–Comment: 9 or 10 yo Cory 'Bumper' Yothers in s1e7 (ranch scenes, also riding, bib at high position, also hay scenes), a girl in shortalls or a dress in s1e4, some men at a circus in s3e22, maybe more. Also very handsome other boy actors in tight jeans.

Currently I'm searching for some 80s series what I rarely do. I consider buying some (non-bibs) DVD worth buying. I don't like action series but recently have seen s3e16 on TV starring Andre Gower. There's also Jason Bateman in very tight jeans in s3e10.

Both quite young and I think no need for buying complete seasons just for very few and short good or perfect scenes. I have recorded s3e16 partly and the series is on YouTube anyway in good quality, so I will buy something else with more young actors.

Rating 4 for these bibs scenes, rating 5 for the series and rating 9 for some kid actors.

–Comment: I believe kids in a field in bibs. Now on TV. Pic 2 taken from the trailer. Also another handsome boy, Reeve Carney. Also starring Ethan Hawke. I have seen this movie several years ago.

Update: Sorry, I have confound it with a different movie. Either similar title or similar famous novel.

This movie is boring. I missed the last 30 minutes and I before that I only found a boy in the distance on the field. Pic 2 must be even later or I missed it. I hope not to forget the rebroadcasting on August 28 on arte.

Currently rating 2-3. Movie rating 1-2. Nominated for an Oscar. Probably because of the novel, plot and actors.

Update: I now have seen it completely but either missed some scenes or more likely they are very brief flashback scenes.

So rating probably even lower but leaving rating 3 for now.

English title: A Bell From Hell. I think rather few scenes. I don't know her age, probably she is one of the 3 daughters. Maybe younger as it seems, in her 20s.

I like horror movies and thrillers, but I have to watch it at slow speed. Maybe a typical (good) movie and typical 70s bibs. And I don't like the 70s and prefer blue bibs but could be worse.

Rating 2-3 for now.

Info 395: Google image and blog search

Sometimes I try a Google image search. When you enter bib overalls film (without " and with the default settings you get pics all from my blog except for some very few others. The interesting thing is the search result order. I searched on July 17 (pic 1) and today (pic 2). The search algorithm is of course secret but do they really display the most interesting (compostions) of a pic? Some results are no wonder. Like my header or top pics. But others are.

Pic 1 also showing 1 recent entry on the lower right and I thought they mix with newer entries but pic 2 don't have any. Slightly different search results and they might differ from the user's country, hard- and software.

I don't link to pics anymore as I don't have high res pics and I don't want pics to appear on the top click links. Most pics look like older pics where I leave the links, coming from my old blog.

At least Google now showing my actual wordpress blog on top instead of the old Google's blogspot blog. Google's search results are often poor and showing many unrelated stuff.You have to be creative for the search term and use advanced options and "".

The blog search here luckily works much better than on my old Google blog. Remember that you can combine tags or in my case categories described here.

As I prefer males and if someone searching for best or specific female entries it's maybe easier as my blog is still growing. I rarely update my "pages" like boys and females.

Update: Le maître d’école (1981)

I have now checked almost the complete movie. Many school scenes and even some more kids in bibs, around 2 more boys and 4 girls, but few good scenes. Either headshots (in class), fast movements or far in the distance or all of them. I already had the best scenes. So rating 5 is correct.

They never changed their clothes (except for the trip and indoor pool scenes near the end). Some other quite good scenes like kids in speedos and shiny shorts. But nothing special. Also tight jeans and underwear changing scene (boy, 52 min).

There are 3 main locations: in class, outside the school and the canteen.

Pic 2 at 1h22 showing both kids from the main entry showing that they wear bibs in full length. Also the rear view of the boy (far left) but brief scene. He is also shown outside the school but moving fast and in the distance.

Pic 3 another boy in dark blue bibs at the end. Pic 4 also at the end. Unpictured a girl in bright red bibs and maybe one or 2 more in shorter bibs or shortalls but in the distance as well. I wonder how is it possible to show so few good and more close up scenes? I like the 80s but there are much better movies.

Story 98: very small bib and at low position

I found this comedy movie called "Scuola di ladri" showing an older man in short non-jeans shortalls on a beach. Looks ridiculous but fits to the actual weather. Obviously the working clothes of this salesman. Also 3 men in regular blue bibs. Maybe also other interesting scenes. There's also a sequel. Rating 1 for this scene (at 54 minutes).

I don't like bibs or shortalls appearing way too small or tight. No real overalls. They could wear shorts or Lederhosen instead. I don't remember much kids in those bibs. I only remember one Russian boy in bibs like that but probably rating 2.

I like just the opposite. Very high position and large bib. Or oversized and baggy.
