I don't know this complete film, but looks like a quite interesting film (rated RC-17) and set (mainly) in the 1950s with flashbacks (maybe perhaps 1920s or 1930s ?) I don't know the amounts of bib scenes, but assume few. Also a boy (most likely another actor) in blue sailor suit (? at least collar or back of pullover looks similar, will add this film also to my other blog, but still have to check). Short novel by Scottish Alexander Trocchi, published 1957/1961. Music by David Byrne. Keywords at IMDb also sounds very interesting (also including spanking and S&M, not sure if next to a woman also the boy is being spanked). I have to see this movie. But for bib scenes I can only rate 3 for now. Boy is also very young. Many Awards for this film, but not sure if I would like it. Perhaps quite disturbing and erotic. Bust most will like this.

Update: I have seen many parts throughout this movie and noticed only very few bib scenes, (also 2 men in working bibs). Downgrade rating from 5 to 3. I also make an entry on my other blog. But that's not better.

 Update 2: 2 new pics. I previously missed the scene on the ship (blue working bibs, straps are misplaced). He falls into the river. Wet scenes when coming out but briefly and from a distance.

The Secret World of Alex Mack - Ep. 3.02

Quite funny and dramatic. Alex Mack (Larisa Oleynik) here not in bibs (see main entry), but other teen girls. I don't know their names. On pic below even 3 girls in bibs in one frame. On the left same black girl in blue shortalls (same as above), one girl in blue bibs (full length) and one in beige shortalls. Perhaps also some more (not sure if even a teen boy) but very brief scenes of supporting background actors. But I don't like this episode/plot. Main series rating 6 for now.
I still like Larisa in her beige bibs cycling and raw denim bibs. (To be continued).

Also starring Joe Piscopo, Julie Hagerty and Jake Dinwiddie as her brother. He was also born in 1987 but looks much younger and played her 10 yo brother. I have to check again, so rating 5-6 for now. I also prefer darker bibs. I assume medium bib scenes. No trailers on YouTube but on Rotten Tomatoes. (Showing front and backside). Pehaps also cycling scenes? Film rated PG.

Looks like a very weird movie (by Lars von Trier, rated R, which is part of the "Land of Opportunities" trilogy.) Houses (even on stage) without walls don't really make sense. Pic is from chapter 6 and also includes spanking the boy. I think also at least one man in bibs maybe some others (women) in coveralls? At least in aprons.  I only saw some parts of it and I assume few bib scenes. I think I don't will like this film. For bib scenes only rating 4 for now. The boy is also very young and needs a haircut. Many awards for this film. I hope for a soon broadcasting.

Info 76: Pics, series and constribution help

For now I had focussed mainly on feature films (except for some series actually running or which I now).
The problem with series is, that I have or want to check many, most or all episodes. And I don't have much time. Some series (and actors/actresses) I also don't like and other series are not running or not available online or even not for sale. I also search mostly for films and not for actors.


If someone wants to help and knows some films or series to be added here, please comment.
And if someone wants to submit images, this would also be great, but they should not be taken from other websites, so best captured by yourself.
I'm not sure if links would be filtered or deleted by Blogger/Google or if it's possible to embed pics in a comment or else.

If someone even wants to submit postings (co-blogging), please let me know, but I don't have experience with that.

I wonder why I haven't noticed bib scenes earlier. According to trailer she might be also riding in the blue bibs. She also wearing a dress and is not always shown. Some scenes at school, and I wonder why none of the boys wearing bibs. I also confused the German title sometimes with the film The Yearling (Claude Jarman Jr. and a deer) and don't watch those films every broadcasting. Although the girl is very young and few bib scenes, I like setting, plot and also the other actors. So rating even 7. Farm content during a drought and long pigtails.

Probably good family and kids fantasy entertainment, but kids are very young. So I don't think I will like it and only rating 3 for now. One nomination for a best animated Argentinian film. Directed by Rosanna Manfredi. I also saw publicity stills with beige bibs or shortalls. DVD released 2003 or 2005, I think Spanish with subtitles only. Also a VHS release.

Update: Micaela in 2 different blue shortalls (cotton and jeans). Also cycling at 1h04 in jeans shortalls and lying on bed on her stomach. Another girl in long bibs at the beginning and at 1h00 (pic 2). Pic 3 at 37 minutes climbing up a tree. Tight and short shortalls.

But this is a very good and funny family film (rated PG) set in the 1960s. Best scene is surely the pool scene including board shorts and kissing a female life saver (see trailer). Starring Chauncey Leopardi (see also entry "Huck & the King of Hearts", 1994) and Mike Vitar. Young Artist Award for the kids as ensemble. There are 3 or 4 sequels and I also saw film 2 and 3 but I don't like them as much. I'm not sure, but I don't remember good bib scenes, but rating 6 for this good film.

Plot: A hop farmer falls in love with a stripper (Christina Hecke as Sophie, I think pictured right on left). Also starring Elmar Wepper (right in the middle). A modern Heimatfilm / drama / romance. Also appearing younger girls with pigtails. I think not yet released on DVD.
Update: I have just seen the rebroadcasting completely and updated the text above. Some scenes with the blond young woman in those beige bibs (back and front) but I don't like this film. Too few farm scenes  and too few bibs/Lederhosen scenes (at the end). Also showing some short dramatic scenes and flashbacks of the childhood of a male actor ~30 years ago showing some kids (non bibs).
Setting and plot are quite good, but I watched most parts of my recording at fast speed, because they are boring to me. Perhaps someone will like some scenes, also showing the stripping woman at work. But there are a lot of better film. So downgrading from rating 5 to 4 (for bib scenes).

Book 11: How the Bee Got Inside my Bib Overalls

Harry Macomber: How the Bee Got Inside my Bib Overalls & other Farm Stories from the 1940s and 1950s. For the Pittsfield Township Historical Society. Published 2005. 144 pages (incl. photos).

I have found this interesting sounding book (by standard keyword search) and received it today. This is a collection of short stories (similar but also different like the books from Jim Heynen, see Book 3).

This book describes real experiences and also even has many, partly small b/w photos from author's childhood in Michigan.
I have only read some few chapters, including the bee title story, which is interesting. Also confirming, that they didn't wore underpants then.
Seems to be a very good book. Stories seem to be continuously and also should be like a coming-of-age plot as well as describing the "technical revolution".

As I'm still reading my other book (See book 10 Papa Was A Preacher, now half finished and it's not so good as the film and different),
it will take some more weeks or months to finish them both. Probably this will be my favourite bib book. He also has sisters, but probably not in bibs. At least dad and 3 sons in bibs.

Book is obviously not very common and limited available in new condition.

Update: Now I have read 2/3rd. The title story was the best by now. Lots of farm terms which might be hard to read for non native English or non farm people. However interesting farm life including the pics. One brief suggested coming-of-age scene.

Quite good plot of washing cows in boots and "worst pants". Not sure if bibs as he also wore standard jeans. This story is set in 1959.

Info 74: Updates Enid Blyton

2 days ago I saw Laura (Tinkeke van der Walle, pictured) from "The Enid Blyton Secret Series" in white shortalls. Some short scenes also standing up after sitting on the stairs and being embraced by her father. Bibs seem a bit baggy or just too big. For more infos of episode see series' entry. Main actor is a younger boy, also a girl and this film might be a funny family comedy movie. But I assume few bib scenes. Other actors than in the 2 prequels and I don't know all the names. Novels by Thoger Birkeland. I have to check this and the other movies the next broadcasting. If I'm wrong about the title please comment. Also not sure about the year. Looks more like the 1950s of 1960s. Also not sure about farm content or other actors in bibs. Bibs seem too small and maybe also worn baggy.

Obviously 3 different pairs (for more infos about episodes see commentary.) I assume tight bibs of the 70s and also worn with a belt. Sometimes with black boots. This is the original Enid Blyton series. There are also a 1996 series, an animated series and earlier b/w films/series as well as similar Blyton series (see also The Enid Blyton Secret Series, f/m now rating 9). I watched this series in the 1980s but of course can't rememember all episodes. I somehow don't like this series anymore. It's too oldfashioned. DVDs are finally now available. Pic is from episode 3.4 Five Go to Demon's Rock. There is also an episode with the word farm in it but I have to check it and don't assume much farm work or many bib scenes or other actors. Some episodes on YouTube but in very bad VHS image quality. Good exciting kids' series, for bib scenes only 4 for now. Links exist

Info 72: Update Story 25: tearing straps

Update of "The Secret World of Alex Mack" (teen girl, +raw denim).
Yesterday I found this scene with her in full length raw denim bibs. See also entry for more infos and another pic.

Why tearing at the strap? I think it wasn't looose. Or tickles it there or at other places? I think bibs are not baggy and only some short scenes with them. Raw denim looks better on her than the medium blue shortalls.

I don't know the name of the boys and have to check this complete film again at slow speed (next week). A lot of kids and perhaps not all names are mentioned. Film is rated R. Some good scenes but I think there are better films (similar but real film of the 80s see Meatballs, also a good camp comedy film is "Odd Balls", last without bibs). Film I would rate 6-7, for bib scenes only 3 for now.

-Comment: I'm not sure about the film title, but I think this must be this film and Vera Tschechowa in white bibs worn with a belt. I'm even not sure if these are bibs, but looks like. They are pretty tight and worn with (rubber ?) boots. I found some few minutes on one of my old VHS tapes (originally searching for something different for my Lederhosen blog). This also looks like an alpine Heimatfilm and also featuring some famous songs performed by Freddy Quinn. I have to watch this complete film again at slow speed on big screen the next days. This is a very good film, probably the best summer camp film. A lot of shiny shorts, jeans shorts and swimming scenes and a lot of kids of different age. For bib scenes I can only rate 3 for now (film is much better and funny). Rated PG. There are also some sequels and similar films which I also will check. Next entry will also be a camp film. I have seen this film in the 1980s, have still some parts on VHS but also bought this DVD some years ago because I want a better image quality. Also starring Kate Lynch and Kristine DeBell. Good scenes of teen Chris Makepeace ~14-15ys in white shiny shorts.

Info 69: My new blog - Lederhosen, sailor suits etc

I always thought about Lederhosen and now I've created my 2nd blog called

featuring boys, girls, men and women in historical clothings, especially sailor suits and Lederhosen (short leather pants) of the 19th century (but not limited). The blog is still under construction but already has some entries.

Blogging, including research takes a lot of time and I will also continue this bib blog, but can't post 2 entries a day and probably run out of films in some weeks or months and can only post then occasionally some content. Interesting that I find more and more bib scenes by coincidence in films where I had never expected or that I own for years but never noticed. But research is more and more difficult and time consuming.

I only saw some parts of this movie (+pics) and it seems to be a very good but sad farm/drama/romance/Christmas film with very good plot and setting. Somethings reminds me of film "Carry Me Home (2004)" (perhaps setting or actors). The plot (mother died and father is alone with his kids and one daughter is deaf) is not exclusive but quite good. Novel "Papa's Angels: A Christmas Story" by Collin Wilcox Paxton (who acted in "To Kill A Mockingbird"). Film (rated PG) was nominated for a Primetime Emmy and won a Young Artist Award. But I don't like the actors here. Hutcheson with pigtails looks quite good, but is very young. Also starring 12 yo Kimberly Warnat as sister Becca, but I don't think in bibs.
I would like to watch this film, but wouldn't buy it.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, a DVD should had been released in 2002, but I think this is either a VHS, or DVD release had been canceled. The clip has not much bib scenes but I couldn't find any other clips or trailers on the web. Best informations and pics are on Bakula fansites. Both older kids are Canadian so non-USA. Perhaps there might be some perfect bib scenes (eg. of other background actors), but for now I only rate 6. Update: Completely seen, also wet.

-Comment: Christine Kaufmann in dark bibs (pictured). Bibs are tight and much too short. Backside with suspenders only. She is splashing with a hose and hit a neighboring woman, also sliding down the stair-rail in bibs. Film DVD title "Witwer mit 5 Töchtern", international title "Widower with 5 Daughters". Heinz Erhardt (1909-1979) is still one of the most famoust German comedians. I don't remember this complete film and have to check again next TV broadcasting. There are 5 short clips on YouTube of this film (+ other films in color) titled "Angelika Meissner Teil" (1-5 this film, clip above is 1) which is the next older daughter ~15-16 ys. Kaufmann is the second youngest girl. I assume medium or fewer bib scenes. Film is quite funny, but I don't like tight bibs and bibs with suspenders. Probably they are not even blue but black and not of jeans fabric. I first understood in a show that this was the film "Der Haustyrann". There are a lot of Heinz Erhardt films (also with boys), I will also check them.

I don't remember this complete film, but I think it's quite like "The Adventures of the Wilderness Family" (1975, see that entry). Bibs of the boy is light blue here, but they don't wear bibs all the time. So I assume medium or fewer bib scenes. I will check this film again. Kids are older now, but I prefer the raw denim bibs of the first film. So again only rating 4. Film and plot is of course better. Also mother (Susan Damante) in standard blue bibs. Not sure if the bibs of the girl are still raw denim.

Update: 2 more pics from the dungaree movies blog. Felix gave rating 10. I have to recheck it the next broadcasting. But I think I won't like the actors. So probably not more than rating 5 or maybe 6. Young boy with messy longer hair and light blue bibs. Thin girl.

Film is quite good (as a remake, the original version is much better) but few bib scenes and kids are very young. Also other older kids (Jesse James, very good scene while he feared as his dad (Reynolds) chopping wood. Also another teen girl, but without bibs. Moretz was nominated for a Young Artist Award. Teen Choice Award for bathtub scene of Reynolds (is he still a teen?). Film rated R. For bib scenes only rating 3.
