-Comment: Some boys at different age and some men in mostly or all hickory striped bibs. Early setting about 18th (early settlers LHOTP setting) and/or early 19th century. And maybe also later. At least one boy with a straw hat. Campfire scene at the end (last pic).

One or 2 kids looking quite feminine but probably they are all boys and the girls wearing dresses. Women but probably not in bibs. I think riding scenes, but I haven't found any good close-up scenes in bibs yet.

I'm still very busy and only checked this complete episode at highspeed (original YouTube channel). There is also a preview on the Country Sing-Along DVD.

Only few songs are very good and catchy. And I don't like hickory striped bibs. There are also more handsome kids in other episodes.

At least one song is also on "Kidsongs TV Show: Practice Makes Perfect" (but this looks like from a VHS source). Showing a younger boy in bibs (unpictured). Clip of pic 2 is called "I've Been Working on the Railroad" boys and girls (hickory stripes, and great boy in regular bibs), VHS is called Home on the Range (also see my western blog). DVD was later re-issued as Sing Out, America!.

Pic 1 is from There's a Hole in My Bucket. Great baggy bibs and straw hat. Maybe it's Paul Smith (A Day at Old MacDonalds Farm). Full view on the update. He's also sitting at the beginning.

Info 226: blogging pause 2

My PC now doesn't start at all (luckily I was able to make backups). I'm now posting from an older system but I currently can't watching movies and doing research online. I have to check my PC and probably have to buy a new one.

As announced, I will be very busy again soon, so the pause will last for some weeks. If I find something important on TV I might do some short posts in the meantime.

Update 05/23: I think I have figured out my hardware issues and I've ordered new PC components. So I hope it will work and I will be able to post again next week.

Update 2: My new components arrived but they also don't work properly. So I have to buy a new PC and that will take some time to receive, install and update all data. As announced only brief posts in the meantime if any.

-Comment: At least one woman or older teen girl in light brown bibs in ep. "Ich hatte einen Traum" (supporting actress, probably brief scene at 17 min.) and a young girl (named Efi or similar)about 6 yo in ep. Die verfeindeten Höfe (backside simple suspenders). There is also at least one young boy in blue bibs about 6yo unpictured but shown on the DVD box cover. Maybe other actors as well in other episodes (probably farmers but maybe other kids and or older siblings)?

I saw an ad of this series on a different DVD. I know this famous series and have seen it in the late 70s. So I can't remember it. Good series and plot set in rural Germany starring Hans-Peter Korff but most kids are very young. Most boys wearing short and pants with suspenders at least one in longer pants maybe Lederhosen with H-style suspenders (entry on my other blog soon).

I can't say much more about other actors. There are only 4 or 5 episodes currently on YouTube and I won't buy the DVD.

Rating 3 for now for bibs scenes, rating 5-6 for plot, but rating 3-4 for the series due to the young age of the kids.

Now I have a bit time, but today I encountered some weird hardware issues (maybe a HD crash or malware). So I have to check that, create backups and maybe reinstall my PC.

Maybe some are also interested in the 3rd pic of Mandy Moore. Check my latest comment on "A Walk to Remember". Maybe someone can help here for source and her age.

I haven't checked the complelte movie and only noticed this scene after the first third of this movie. Nice sitting position but there are definitely better movies. Actress is OK and her long dark her fits to her bibs.

Also starring Larry Hagman, Emma Thompson, Billy Bob Thornton and Rob Reiner.

Rating 3-4 for now.

Sorry, I have to announce that I have to take a break, probably for a longer time (on all my blogs), I mentioned that before. I try to post occasionally if I found something on TV, but I don't have much time for watching movies and doing research.

And another one from the dungareemoviesblog (Felix gave rating 1, probably due to the short scene). I don't think that's so bad, even he's very young. Bibs are OK and there are worse movies.

Very good movie. Perfect plot and very handsome boy actors. Good typical regular tight jeans of the 80s. I have seen this movie many years ago and liked it.
