Update: Vagabonden (1940)

 

I had almost ordered this DVD, but I finally found it online (but in quite poor quality/low resolution). There are several bibs scenes, I think 3 long scenes, first one starting at ~29 minutes. The boy wearing an additional, thin belt only in one of the first scenes. Also quite good rear views. Front view of pic 2 is the available publicity pic. Pic 1 is at ~37 minutes (also hands in pockets). Pic 3 sitting on a hay stack at 39 minutes (and standing up).

Best are the sitting scenes (and standing up) inside at a table (see main post) at ~51 minutes. I think there are 2 longer scenes. Bibs pictured here look faded, but appear much darker inside. Probably a 2nd pair.

The DVD is not expensive, but I think the shipping/import. So for now, I won't purchase this.

The company is an Indian insurance company. As usual a very brief scene, so rating ~3.

A fat lady, 34 yo Esmée van Kampen in dark blue bibs with one strap down and an open shirt (also sitting in the bus, but I think mainly headshots), pic from the "show" at ~22 minutes. Several scenes. 

Pic 2 showing girl Pari in light purple bibs. Pic from clip "Worden wat je wil". Also in the show, also more close-up, mainly near the end on stage.

Most of the "show" clips are outside. Nice colorful sports clothes of the kids.

Kinderen voor Kinderen 41

As announced a boy, probably Sebastian (who appeared sitting in bibs in Kinderen voor Kinderen helpt mee) dancing in purple coveralls with white zippers and light green woollen cap in clip Hand in Hand. Also a girl in turqouise coveralls. Clip from 2020. In the 2020 clips of the "Big Show" all kids appear in historical clothes ~1920s like pants with suspenders and caps.

–Comment: There are several short vids at least of Kinderen voor Kinderen 41 (2020) before the big show. Pics 1+3 from In de snoepfabriek (clip called Zwemmen in het snoep) showing Sebastian also sitting in faded bibs with one strap down. Rating 6-7, almost 7. He (or less likely another boy) also appeared in purple coveralls with a girl in coveralls in clip Hand in Hand (see Kvk 41). Several good scenes. I haven't found him in bibs in either show or regular clips, so maybe that are his real casual clothes?

More of Kinderen voor Kinderen coming soon (including a lady). I almost missed this and the big shows and mainly checked the clips. I missed one or 2 seasons. Part 43 coming this year.

I only have seen the trailer.

Update 2: Who's the Boss? (1984)

 

I have checked (almost) all episodes available but mainly up to season 5. Pic 1 is from s1e11. Obviously the best scene. Also standing outside. Pic 2 from s2e3, different pair with a light blue or grey patch. I haven't found any more of Danny Pintauro, nor others in bibs (but I think there are some episodes of season1 missing). Good beach scene in s2e6.

Info 1519: Films with scents - Scent science and technology - olfaction - past smells

There are new attemps of scent science. Scientists of the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History found and reconstructed ancient scents. They examine archaelogical artefacts and somehow extract the scents. There are also other approaches of scanning old books and paintings with AI to detect descriptions and sources of odor.

Currently this is mainly used for tours in museums and the like so visitors can smell paintings.

But there are also new attemps for scent films, most are still in development but obviously almost finished. Previously there were mainly scratch and sniff cards and Smell-O-Vision. New technologies are smelling screens, feelreel and the Architecture of Smell ® by OVR Technology. Latter 2 ones in combinating with VR glasses. Editors for movies are already available.

I first found very good desriptions of scents in one-room schoolhouses (smell of new overalls and starched dresses). But this is only true for the first school days (September) as long as the bibs hadn't been washed. And in winter there's also smoke from the coal oven. And other smells like manure, sweat, turpentine, chalk, flowers from outside etc.

The new studies are soon to be published, but they mainly examined scents from ancient egypt. But I think there are also other scent databases, projects and samples. So maybe there will be scent movies soon. Although even 3D movies (without glasses) are still not wide spread.
