It's more and more difficult to find more bib films or only farm films. But I keep searching. I like bibs since the late 90s, so before that, I din't pay much attention to them, so I have to check many films again.

But I think this is a funny family film with nice acting especially of Chad Allen (picture on the right) and some good scenes like swimming. The kids try to earn money. I think few bib scenes. Good film, so rating 4.

But seems to be a good family and farm film with a good plot and several people in good bibs. Cassy falls into a river and her blue bibs get wet. Perhaps also others in bibs. I have to see this movie again. But I think there are better ones.

-Comment: Matthew Dupuis in blue bibs (pictured). I don't know the entire movie. Bibs seem OK, but a bit baggy. I don't think much bib scenes and there are better movies. Film aka The Child / Le silence d'Adam.The child looks a bit older. Later he also appeared in La forteresse suspendue (2001).

Update: I have briefly checked some parts of the movie. I think fewer scenes than first assumed mainly or only at the beginning.

Rating rather 3. He's also very young.

This is a good and funny Christmas film with some weird scenes. Most famous is where a boy stucks with his tongue at a frozen pole. Also Peter Billingsley (left picture on the right) with a piece of soap in his mouth and in pink bunny costume. The last time I saw this movie is many years ago. I like the film, but not the bibs. I also think, few bib scenes.

-Comment: Larisa Oleynik (pictured in blue shortalls in episode 3.07, so maybe 14 ys) sometimes wears bibs in many different colors. Also different hats. Also blue shortalls. I saw some episodes in the 90s, but I don't like these girls series (except Ready or Not and The Sleepover Club). I don't know the entire series, but I don't find many good bib scenes and I think with some other girls in bibs. She can transform herself into a silver fluid. Typical bibs of the 90s and typical Nickelodeon series. There are better ones. Due to few bib scenes Rating 3-4. However bibs and girl are not so bad either. According to other films I should perhaps upgrade to rating 5. Now 6.

Update 2: Cycling in beige bibs (full length) in ep 28 (2.15) "Mack T.V." (same as in intro.) Some good scenes, showing front and backside while cycling (with helmet). Later standing without helmet, but most views only of her face.

Ep. 3.04 Operation: Breakout. I think the best scene I've noticed yet (though I missed the first episodes). Larisa in 3/4th length (ripped off at knee height) standard blue bibs. Good scenes sitting and standig up, also showing some brief scenes of backside.

-Comment: Anna Chlumsky (pictured) sometime wears blue bibs. I think this is a good children's film with touching plot and first kiss. I don't remember the entire movie but I think few good (bib) scenes. Also including cycling. There is at least also one other small boy in blue bibs. But I don't like Culkin. There is also My Girl 2 with Chlumsky and Austin O'Brien. I think that is better, but I don't know of bib scenes there. At the beginning of My Girl 2 Chlumsky seems to wear light blue bibs.

I first saw a trailer on a Dutch DVD (image left) and thought there are only very few scenes with 2 girls. Then I saw the (official ?) French trailer (image right) and saw also 3 boys. I think I saw this movie on TV some years ago. I have to search, if I have a recording somewehere. I remember a funny children's film with good main actors and sport scenes. But I don't think, that this is a perfect bib film. Most actors in bibs are very young. And I don't think that there are much good bib scenes. But I have to verify this. E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial

-Comment: Everone knows this film. And I thought I also knew it. I remember the  E.T. and some famous scenes but never noticed special bib scenes. Then I saw this film in a list at another bib blog that Dee Wallace weared (light blue) bibs. I also first thought of young Drew Barrymore. But in a trailer is also Henry Thomas in dark blue bibs. And they look great. I have to see the entire movie again, but I will wait  for the next TV broadcast of if I find a cheap DVD. Good and funny film. But I remember only few bib scenes. So rating 5. Possibly going up.

Edit: I bought this DVD (remastered 20th anniversary Version). This is my 2nd purchase since this blog (other was The River). Usually I don't buy films, that I know and that are often on TV. 

Henry Thomas wears bibs only in one long scene (~8 minutes and therein only some minutes, mostly in dark light. At least one good scene of full body front and back with good lighting. He looks small and thin.
Before and after that he wears a white undergarment.
Drew Barrymore in black bibs in some scenes, in one carried by her mom on her shoulders. Before that, Dee Wallace in a very short scene at the beginning.

So this film is a very good family entertainment with some touching scenes and also showing life of an US family of the 80s, but not a must have for bib fans. So rating 5 because of this good film.

There must be additional scenes (or stills) with him on other DVD editions.

Update: I've seen the original version in 1/2021. I think much more bibs scenes of Elliott than I remembered. Update soon. (Was also on my bedroom blog, nice bunk bed.) Previously rated 5 now 6.

-Comment: Reiley McClendon (pictured) wears baggy, light blue bibs with hickory stripes and a sleeveless shirt. There are only some few minutes playing in 1923 at the beginning. McClendan plays together with Jesse James in a plane and then in a field. McClendan is pulled at his bibs by his dad and James helped him. Later there are also short scenes with other kids in the 1940s. I don't like these "action like war movies". Although I don't like light blue bibs, they look cool here. Nice acting.

Famous, exciting and good mystery anthology. I coincidentally found this episode. I don't know the whole original episode. I think few bib scenes but these seem looking good. The River (1984)

-Comment: I was not sure about this movie. I saw it long time ago and I think, I didn't like it. I searched the web for film farm family and images look great. So I bought this DVD. Details follows. Shane Bailey in standard blue bibs. I rember that this is a dark film with disasters. So this was my first DVD purchase since this blog. And the first in weeks. I was surprised. The film is not happy, but also not too dark. All family members wear bibs, but not all the time. Also they are not always together. Bailey first wears light blue, dirty bibs in where he also rides a bike. Later also medium blue bibs, one scene is close up while welding. He appeared half of the time and also wears standard Jeans. His little sister (first I thought she is a boy, pic 3) wears light bue bibs, also riding a horse. Gibson wears beige bibs and later light blue coveralls. His wife, played by Sissy Spacek wears bibs in one short scene, hardly to see, maybe beige). Also in bibs: friend or neighbour of Lewis ~12 ys (pic 2). old boy called Billy (light blue) and other men. At the end Bailey with bibs under a jacket and boots. There are not so many modern farm films. Here also working in a corn field and some touching and exciting scenes. Although rather few bib scenes I rate 5-6.

Los olvidados

B/w film of Luis Buñuel about Mexican ghetto kids. -Year: 1950 -Year in film: 1940s? -Country: Mexico -Who in bibs: several boys and men -Available on DVD: yes -I own: no -Bib occurrence: often -Rating:  5/10 -Rating: ***** -Comment: I have not seen the whole movie. I think there are many bibs. But some with no back bibs (suspenders only). Violent film. Perhaps I will buy it. But I think, I will not like the bibs. Seems old style and dirty bibs.
Edit: I now have seen some fragments of this movie. And as I said, the bibs of the boys have suspenders. One young men with better bibs and shirtless, but I don't like them either. There are a lot of young men in bibs, I think at least 20 men and bibs look all the same. I will not purchase this film and hope to see it soon on TV. For now I would even rate it 4/10. There are better b/w films, see tag.

The Little Rascals (1994)

-Comment: Jordan Warkol as Froggy (picture left) and at least 3 other boys of the gang in blue (1 in black bibs, 1 in light blue). Also short scenes of at least one other boy, 1 teen girl (pic below), one younger girl (sitting), one man and one woman, standing (supporting actors in the audience). Funny film, but I don't like film nor bibs. Although I like historical films, I also don't like the original b/w series. Quite funny family entertainment. But could be better. Kids are very young. Gags are rather old and something is even annoying. Some romantic and a lot of funny scenes.

Update: I have seen this complete film and noticed also (teen) girls, women and men in bibs (very short scenes). I didn't had the time to watch every single frame of it. Additionally a young girl in sailor suit (see my other blog). Also starring Courtland Mead (see The Shining 1997) and Bug Hall. Young Artist Award for all kids of the gang.
Also interesting: The boy with black hair (pictured top right, not Bug Hall) has I think standard blue bibs, but in close up of the same scene bibs are definitely hickory striped. Maybe a continuity error or the resolution of my recording is too low.

-Comment: Young Courtland Mead in blue bib. 9-10ys but looks like 7 ys. This mini series is not so famous as the 1980 Kubrick film with Jack Nicholson. There is a younger boy with darker bibs in 1980. But I like the newer version and this actor of Danny. Some shocking scenes and good performance of Mead. Good standard colored bibs, but he did not wear them all the time.

Either 2 different bibs, but I think the hickory stripes could only noticed in close up scenes. Also locomotive drivers cap. I own the first part of this series. Movies are funny. But I think no good bib film.

Update: I have briefly checked this movie. Much better tha thought. Although I don't like much hickory stripes (very fine stripes here). And rather few scenes starting at 1h04. Also a younger girl in shortalls at 46 minutes and a man at the end.
