-Rating: 7/10
-Rating: *******
-Comment: 14 or 15 yo Wil Horneff (pictured on left) as 12 yo Jody in worn blue bibs. Also some men (including Peter Strauss as dad).
Probably everyone knows the 1946 classic starring Claude Jarman Jr. as Jody and Gregory Peck (2 Oscars), novel by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.
I think no bibs in that original version and this is a good movie, but I don't like this young actor there.
I'm not sure, if I have seen the remake as well (maybe I even have it somewhere on VHS) but I have to check this again. Very few infos on the web, I wonder why, there is even the 1946 stream showing together with the 1994 poster. Some other website states it was set in the 1930s.
Young Artist Award for Wil Horneff who also starred in "The Sandlot". There is a DVD release, I wonder why there are no clips on the web except for am old promo in bad quality.
I hope for a soon broadcasting. I assumed few or medium bib scenes, as he also wore other clothes. Rating 6-7 for now. Now 7-(8).
Update: Finally completely checked after more than 10 years. Much more scenes than assumed. 2 different pairs. Adding tag sitting M, riding, baggy.
