Updates: The Green Promise (colorized), Rusty's Birthday

During general research I found a new colorized version of this 1949 PD movie. Older teen boy Ted Donaldson (1933-2023) in bibs. I previously haven't checked the full movie and gave rating 4. I think only 2 very brief scenes, this headshot and one full view outside (see main post). So now rating 3.

The colorization is very poor. But at least the print is very sharp.

He also starred in the Rusty film series, like Rusty's Birthday (rating 6) but must be another boy in bibs. I also have re-uploaded the better pic (sitting) on the update.

The blue pair is nice, but for this very brief scene I can't give a higher rating than 3-(4). I don't like the black pair. And the movie/plot seems also very weak. Set in 1985, based on true events.

I also found her at least earlier in series "Home Before Dark" (2020) in at least blue, black, and light brown corduroy bibs (unknown length). Obviously there's also a lady (Abby Miller) in blue bibs. 

 

Book 140: Das Internat am Genfer See

 

By coincidence I found this mid 90s boarding school book series aimed at girls. There are 10 books. In this 5th book (Die Entführung) there's a girl sitting in bibs on the cover. Obviously Carmen from Puerto Rico. Her parents are divorced and she wants to unite them by writing a fake letter about a kidnapping. But things go wrong.

I don't own any of the books. So I can't say if there are mentions of bibs. Probably not. In book 6 there's a girl who wants to be a boy (not in bibs at least not on the cover). I like plots about boarding schools (like "Schloss Einstein") but I can't even say if it's a school for girls only. At least there are plots with boys (Spanish exchange student, young boy, not in bibs). Different authors. 

Schneider books are thin. Fonts are quite large and usually there are illustrations. (Not sure about these late ones). Modern books are usually much thicker. Schneider books were the most famous books up to the 80s in Germany. 

One of the famoust book series for boys was the Schreckenstein book series about a boys boarding school near one for girls. Made into a move.

I don't know the full series. 33 ep in 3 seasons.

I don't like action movies and I don't like these actresses nor tight bibs and shortalls. I assume rather few (good) scenes, especially of the long pair(s). Interesting might be the wet scenes.

Molly in shortalls at least in s1e10, s2e1, s2e2 also wet. Long pair at least in s1e3 sitting, s2e5.

I recently found some few episodes on the 16mm film channel on YouTube. Almost the complete series is up in better quality on YouTube but missing these best episodes. Maybe some are better on DM or elsewhere?

Pic 1 from ep 15 (I think Marco Kröger *1963). Pic 2 a lady (Elke Twiesselmann ? *1927-2021) with an open jacket from ep "Zwei Kapitäne und ein Ruder" (16mm) also without jacket, pic 3 some young men (some might be teens) sitting in working bibs (blue and beige, or matching aprons? with a number on the bib) in ep 17. Pic 4 a boy in ep "Kursänderungen" 16mm. Also a boy probably the same standing on a stage. Sorry, I forgot a young girl in pink bibs (same episode).

Unpictured: Older men, some men in grey bibs (ep 18 and Zwei Kapitäne und ein Ruder), very young boy maybe same sitting on floor in dark blue or black bibs (ep 16), teen boy/ young man from pic 1 sitting/headshot in ep "Land in Sicht", a man in yellow waterproof bibs in ep 19 (very brief).

The boy is very young and very few scenes. Same for the girl. Rather few scenes of the lady. The teen boy is too old, rather few scenes and working bibs. So in fact almost nothing of interest.

Rating ~3-(4). Kümo means Coastal motor ship. Set in Hamburg. I haven't heard of this series before. Written by Helga Feddersen (1930-1990) who also starred as guest.

Iglo Geflügel Dippers 1997 ad

 

As announced, I recently found this commercial during research ofr Kidnapping Mom & Dad. Next to the boy there's the full family in bibs and a cartoon character, an old farm man. Boy has a funny long morphed mouth. On left a girl.

Clip is called: Werbung damals in den schönen '90ern 28.3.1997 (2). I had to check 10-15 long compilations to found this. Very few frames at the beginning is shown in all clips.

Not that bad and not that short but in fact just headshots of the kids.

Olympics opening ceremony

On yesterday's opening ceremony there was at the very beginning and a bit later in the plot a kid ~10 yo with quite long hair in stone washed bibs, one strap down. Pullover mainly yellow, as street kid. I assume a girl. With 2 other kids entering a small boat with the masked phantom and torchbearer. 

I think the first scene was pre-recorded. But I think 2 later scenes were live. In the boat and later walking. And I think got the torch from Zinedine Zidan at the metro.

Sorry no pics. 

Does anybody know if these kids are taken from a known story like Phantom of the Opera. Or any details about the kids?

Update: Thanks Laurent. Yes there's a clip available. But I won't add official Olympic pics from the main show. 

I haven't found any good pics showing the bibs. The best I found is this (kid on right with a life vest over them). There's also a description of the references of the phantom. The plot is a mix and new. But it's still unclear if the group of kids have a reference of a French plot as well.

Not that bad but rather few and brief good scenes.

I found it on purewow on a list The 63 best teen movies (this on rank 3). Suncoast (my rating 5) was on rank 1. To me not a teen film.

During research for that actress, I found series Runaways/Marvel's Runaways (2017-2019) other lady Allegra Acosta in tight long bibs and bleached shortalls and I think Gardner in rare shortalls. Coming soon.

 

Brand #34: The Waltons - season 6

 

New season, new pairs. CD 1. First, Jim-Bob wore regular blue I think Dee Cee. Green shirt ep 1 at 18 (full scene with Elizabeth here). Later another shirt inside at 36. Zeb in bleached Big Smith with dark tag. Later Jim-Bob in Lee's 98-SB hickory striped (tag on rear) at 1h16 and at the table at 1h39 next to Elizabeth in raw denim Dee Cee (I have her elsewhere including dancing, like here, and riding etc elsewhere). Great rear view of both at 2h37 (ep 4). Other views of Elizabeth at 2h47 in acid bleached 40s Stronghold. 

I'm sure reading Stronghold but haven't found this rear tag elsewhere but later found it once on a carpenter's 40s pair. There's usually an additional large patch above the right rear pocket. The bib pocket is also rather unusual like this but I did found it this way. Usually there's a diagonally seam on the left of the right pocket.

Unpictured: Jim-Bob standing up from bench at 2h03. Elizabeth raw denim at 4 ep 1, Jim-Bob at 18 ep 1, young black boy Josh barefooted in 2 different pairs including Dee Cee at 59 ep 2 and 1h06. Season 5: Elizabeth in bibs buying a new pair cd7 at 12.  

On later discs some more great scenes of Jim-Bob including sitting, especially on disc 3 at 2h17. I had a pic, but I think is currently missing. Season 6 has just rating 9 compared to others. I didn't like hickory stripes much then. Some scenes are probably rating 10 if there were no other seasons.

I found some new brands/manufacturers: (I'll post some pics and tags later), the apron belt I found mainly on striped and carpenter's bibs is a nail apron.

In Germany were 4 or 9 (UK) seasons aired as Das große Backen Kids - Englands jüngste Bäcker. I have seen some few parts then but can't recall bibs. There's a 2013 German show "Das große Backen" with German adults. At least a short haired blonde lady in bibs in the 2023 show. I previously had another German spin-off (ladies, rating 2, no pics left) Das große Promibacken (but it turned out that the host just wore a raw denim long dress) but I don't know all episodes.

Starring David Carradine. Found during research on IMDb (great depression). By coincidence I found a partial view of a boy sitting in front of fields while listening to music (IMDB pic 66). That scene is I think near the end and not of interest. Farm work in the distance.

Abenteuer Work & Travel (Die Nordstory) on TV

I mentioned this in 2023 with Hofgeschichten (with 2 other pics). On TV this Friday on NDR also already on the ardmediathek. Die Nordstory (2011) has at least 579 episodes. (IMDb knows 30). 2023 episode. 2 couples helping on different farms on their holidays. Subtitle: Arbeiten im Urlaub.

2 ladies in bibs, one called Gesa in raw denim bibs. Some good scenes front and rear near the beginning. Later another lady, obviously Heidi (helping with sheep) in tight faded bibs buttoned till the neck. Also I think 2 men in working bibs. One kneeing in grey. But much fewer scenes and not much of interest.

I like raw denim bibs but sorry, this lady is a bit too old and I don't like her rear. I don't like the tight faded bibs. Pic at 9. Best rear at 6.

A suggestion from Marc. Thanks very much! Best scene should be in s1e4 at 45 (walk and fight). But the walking scene (upstairs) is extremely dark and I can't see anything. The rest are mainly some few headshot scenes or hidden by an object. There's a good pic on IMDb (probably behind the scenes).

s3e5 (kissing on bed at 33, pic 2) is much better. Different positions (kissing on top). I don't like much his/her hair. But bibs and face are very good here. Great scene. I have briefly checked the other 2 episodes. I think I haven't found scenes in one, but obviously no other scenes are better.

Quite good school scene, but actors are too old.

For now rating ~(2)-3. I don't assume much more other scenes in other episodes. Bibs are anachronistic in Westerns.

Also some famous supporting kids/boys acting like in s1e30, s9e26, s8e14, s7e14, s10e23, s13e2, etc but I don't know any in bibs. Mitch Vogel, I have in LHOTP s1e5.

Sitting also in ep 5 and 7. Walking in ep 10 with an open jacket. Ep 12 headshot. And a pigtailed girl (pic 2 at 21), obviously another actress and another pair. And a photo of Millicent.

And another Australian series I found on the Twisted Lunchbox channel. Good but typical school plots. Like underwear on flagpole (ep 5) and a chubby boy. Books by Max Dann.

Rather few good bibs scenes. Mainly 1 girl. I don't like much this actress (and her hair). So again rating 4-5.

–Comment: I think this is Britain Eugene Simon (*1992) as Noah's young cousin Eddie living with him. Probably long bibs. As announced. Only 2 very brief scenes in ep 6. This is the best one showing the most. I think no rear views. The other at the beginning sitting in a car.

Handsome boy. Also a teen (girl) in yellow snow coveralls at the beginning of ep 7. Also nice bedroom scenes  of the boys in ep 6. Completely checked but at high speed (preview window).

For the brief scene rating ~4 only.

Update: Sky Trackers (1994)

As announced also a young girl in now confirmed long purple bibs and boots in ep 20. I think corduroy fabric, bib at low position. Also walking full view outside but far distance. I think Emily-Jane Romig (*1983), so around 10 but younger looking.

And several others in other coveralls, light blue and orange in ep 13. I still hadn't the time to check all episodes of this one.
