–Comment: I only found a 3 minute clip called "Teaching in an Iowa One-room Schoolhouse" on YouTube showing this older boy in bibs (pic 2, no better views) and a younger boy in bibs, sitting from a distance (side view). Also b&w photos younger and older boys, one blonde boy in hickory stripes.

I don't know the complete documentary which is 1 hour. I found a 1979 clip with another boy in color, but probably from a different documentary. An earlier upload of the clip pictured was probably from 2006. The DVD from 2009? Regional Emmy Award.

Can't say much more.  DVD should be available, but I couldn't find it on IPTV nor PBS shop. OOP?

Rating around 3-4 for the preview clip but probably (much) higher. There's another clip called "Consolidation Brings the End to Iowa's One-room Schoolhouses" (no notable scenes in the preview). The icon on YouTube showing barefooted boys running out of the school (color scene, pic 1), but the icons are not in the clips (but available in high res on Google Images). So at least 4 boys in bibs in the color scenes (probably not much more there, as the room is quite small, but probably 6-8). Bird's eye view of the class showing the icon of clip 1. Two blonde boys in checkered shirts might be brothers.

Rating ~5-6.
