Manon des sources (1952)
Drama by Marcel Pagnol
–Year: 1952
–Year in film: 1920s ?
–Country: France
–Who in bibs: boy ~9 ?
–Available on DVD: yes
–I own: no
–Bib occurence: very low
–Rating: 2/10 ?
–Rating: **
–Comment: One young boy in dark bibs (or shortalls) at the end of the movie (1h50 from the 1h57 cut version). Original movie is 2h35.
I only noticed this very brief scene. English title: Manon of the Spring.
So rating 1-2 only. There is also a 1986 remake and a prequel called "Jean de Florette" which I both don't know, but the prequel is set even earlier. So I don't assume bibs there.
There are very good movies based on Pagnol's novels and his childhood (see my sailor suit blog). Perfect rural settings (Provence).
