The Great Mom Swap

TV kids film starring Shelley Fabares
-Year: 1995
-Year in film: 1990s ?
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girl Terry ? 13
-Available on DVD: VHS only (?)
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: low ?
-Rating:  5/10
-Rating: *****
-Comment: I'm not sure, but I think that this is Mary Kate Schellhardt (pictured) in bibs (or perhaps shortalls?) and the other teen girl who swapped her mom is Hillary Tuck (probably without bibs). Kids' book by Betsy Haynes. I think, that I have seen this Hallmark film, but can't remember it/the bib scenes well enough and must also check this again (perhaps even other actors in bibs?). I assume rather few bib scenes, as I also saw other clothes. Obviously a funny family entertainment with teen girls and also younger girls. But for now I can only rate 5. Book was published in 1986 or earlier, so year can also be set in the 1980s or even earlier. Available DVDs seem to be VHS transfers only. And used VHS copys are like usual expensive. I hope for a soon TV broadcasting.

Untamed Love

TV drama starring Cathy Lee Crosby
-Year: 1994
-Year in film: 1990s ?
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girl Cailtin ~7 ys
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurence: medium ?
-Rating:  4/10
-Rating: ****
-Comment: I think this must be Ashlee Lauren (pictured) in blue bibs. (Also appeared in "What Love Sees", see that entry, but not discovered bib scenes with her there). I dont know/don't remember this movie. Novel by Torey Hayden about child abuse. I think I don't like this film. Girl is also very young. I can't find any clips on YouTube anymore (only unrelated). Rating 4 for now, but I will check this, as usual, the next TV broadcasting.

Swimming (2000)

Drama starring Lauren Ambrose
-Year: 2000
-Year in film: 1990s ?
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girl Frankie ~21
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: medium ?
-Rating:  7/10
-Rating: *******
-Comment: Lauren Ambrose (pictured left, with Jennifer Dundas Lowe, right) as redhaired (older) tomboy. I'm not sure if I have seen this independant coming of age movie but looks quite interesting. Rating R and including lesbian kissing. I have to check this film again but already rate 7 for now. L.A. Outfest (Grand Jury Award) for Ambrose. Directed by Robert J. Siegel. I found this by coincidence some days ago, I think as a YouTube recommendation.

Info 67: Updates

I have recently updated:

-Flipper (1996), completely seen again, (found additional young girl in shortalls, no additional pic)

-Honkytonk Man (Book 8), completely read and compared to film (boy/men)

Milo (1998)

Horror film starring Jennifer Jostyn
-Year: 1998
-Year in film: 1990s
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girl Martice ? ~14 , other girl
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: low
-Rating:  3/10
-Rating: ***
-Comment: I think this could be Mila Kunis (pictured left) in blue shortalls, and at least one other black girl in black (probably shortalls too, pic right, I don't know her name). I don't know this film yet (rated R), but I assume few bib scenes (Kunis even uncredited). Also starring Asher Metchik (Treasure of Pirate's Point) and Jordan Warkol (The Little Rascals, 1994). Kunis was born in the Ukraine, so tagged non-USA. I think the tagline "Remember, Jason and Freddy were kids once too" is a bit too ambitious. I'm not sure about this film (although I like horror films) and have to check it (probably I will most like acting of freckled Jordan Warkol, a killer boy in a yellow raincoat). Not sure about the year, as there are obviously flashbacks. For bib scenes only rating 3 for now. Update: I now saw many parts of this film and confirmed few bib scenes. There are better (bib and horror) films.

Blue Moon (1999)

TV drama starring Sharon Lawrence
-Year: 1999
-Year in film: 1990s ?
-Country: Canada, USA
-Who in bibs: girl Josie ~7 ys, other girl
-Available on DVD: VHS only?
-I own: no
-Bib occurence: low ?
-Rating:  3/10
-Rating: ***
-Comment: Hallie Kate Eisenberg 6-7 ys in blue bibs (pictured). Also at least one other girl ~8ys in medium blue shortalls (at 25 minutes). I don't have the time to watch this complete film and watched only some parts, but assume few bib scenes. Might be good family film with good plot and landscape images (novel by Luanna Rice). Filmed in Canada, but Eisenberg is American. Rating 3 for now. No trailers.

End of the Spear

Adventure film starring Chad Allen -Year: 2005 -Year in film: 1956/1940s (bibs?) -Country: USA -Who in bibs: Young Steve 8  -Available on DVD: yes -I own: no -Bib occurrence: medium ? -Rating:  3/10 ? -Rating: *** -Comment: I think this must be Chase Ellison (Mysterious Skin) in blue bibs. He was nominated for  a Young Artist Award. This is the 2nd of 2 films I found at the Christian company who released Papa Was A Preacher. I don't like those "rainforest and tribes movies" including violence (PG-13). I don't know this complete film and have to check it. True story about missionaries in Ecuador. Ellison played the young "Chad Allen" so probably those flashbacks are set in the 1940s (IMDb tag), while the main plot is in 1956 (?) I don't know how much are those flashbacks (and the bib scenes). I assume that the boy doesn't change his clothes in the rainforest. Rating 4-5 for now. Update: Much fewer than assumed. Previously rated 5 now ~3.

When Every Day Was the Fourth of July

TV drama starring Dean Jones
-Year: 1978
-Year in film: 1937
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: Sarah ~12
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: low ?
-Rating:  6/10
-Rating: ******
-Comment: Katy Kurtzman in blue bibs (pictured). I don't know this complete movie, but it's quite interesting but assume few but good bib scenes. Main character is her 12 yo film brother Chris Petersen (see LHOTP season 4 with the only girl in bibs). There is a sequel called "The Long Days of Summer" (see that entry, with a teen boy in bibs and also a girl, rating 6). Kurtzman was 12 or 13 in 1978 but played a 9 year old. She also appeared in LHOTP and Dynasty. Film directed by Dan Curtis (Dracula (1973), Burnt Offerings). Good film with setting and clothes of the 1930s, but for bib scenes only rating 6 for now. I have to check the complete both films. Also a good cycling scene with bibs and falling off from the bike.

A sequel movie, rating 6 f/m:

Trapped: Buried Alive

TV adventure thriller starring Jack Wagner
-Year: 2002
-Year in film: 2000s
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girl Paige ~21 ys
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurence: often ?
-Rating:  5/10
-Rating: *****
-Comment: Aubrey Dollar in beige bibs (pictured). I don't know this movie and found it also by coincidence by a non-Google image search with text bib overalls. Bibs are good, but I prefer blue farm bibs. I also don't like such dramatic thrillers in the snow. Workin title: Trapped: Beneath the Snow, Canadian title "Danger: Avalanche!". I have to check this complete film next airing. Rating 5 for now.

Info 66: Dresscode at schools, no bibs allowed?

I found by coincidence an image of a girl in bibs (not with Google), which leads to a dresscode (for girls) page of a US Christian school.

Jeans, also colored jeans are allowed on elementary but not secondary class. No acid wash denim. Pants should not be too baggy or too tight. Shorts, leggings and lycra pants are not allowed, so bib overalls (neither elementary nor secondary). Proper undegarments must be worn. Also restrictions on hair (color and styles), shoes, hats, jewelery etc. Tattoes are allowed, but must be covered.

At middle or High School no jeans etc.

I wonder why they don't introduce school uniforms. A pic at the main website shows happy kids playing in jeans.

However, I search on the school's website and can now only find text and not the restriction of bibs anymore. But

  • Dress should be modest. (I Timothy 2:9)
  • Dress should properly differentiate between the sexes

Info 65: Google image search

First: Since some time the Google image search has a different look. Some say that there are more pics and better results. But I mostly find some pages together on one or two pages. Some of (my) images (although exclusively on the whole web) I can't even find at all. I will now try more other search engines.

I read also interesting things about SEO (Search engine optimization) and how to optimize your pics and site to get more traffic or higher rankings. But I don't really need this. It's a niche blog however. But it's still interesting and weird what images can be found and which can't. Also search with different language text result in different image results (on top). And interesting that a Russian search engine has more hits/links to my site than Yahoo and Google image although I have no Russian texts.

Also a weird posting delay. It's displayed in my dashboard that Huck Finn 1939 should be my last entry. But I created 2 later entries which are displayed below that. Much blogger.com problems recently, but could be worse. None posts are lost. Other (free) blog hosters have similar problems and limitations.

35 kilos d'espoir

French TV youth film starring Stéphan De Groodt
-Year: 2009
-Year in film: 2000s
-Country: France, Belgium
-Who in bibs: boy Grégoire 13 , man
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: yes, partly TV recording
-Bib occurrence: low
-Rating:  5/10
-Rating: *****
-Comment: Adrien Hurdubae in blue working bibs (pictured) while working with his model aircraft. Also in bibs his granddad where he is talking at in this scene. Bestselling novel by Anna Gavalda. I missed first half of this film, but assume only this short bib scenes (I think 2 in the workshop) and have to check it again. Also other good scenes (cycling in short pants, sleeping in pajamas, PE at school, and later boarding school and close up of his green eyes). I like French films and rural France landscapes. All databases says film release in 2010 but film says 2009 and there was even a DVD release in 2009 (from Lingua-Video) for usage in German schools. Very good coming-of-age film, but for bib scenes only rating 5.

Slappy and the Stinkers

Kids' film with a sea lion
-Year: 1998
-Year in film: 1990s
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girl Lucy? 9
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: medium ?
-Rating:  3/10
-Rating: ***
-Comment: I think this must be Scarlett Pomers in white or beige shortalls (pictured). I don't remember this film but I think I have seen it. Seems very funny family enterntainment (rated PG), but slapstic scenes are not for everyone. Young Artist Awards for all 5 child actors. Girl looks very young. And I think there are better movies. Rating 3 for now. Also starring Joseph Ashton (Where the Red Fern Grows (2003), The Education of Little Tree, and The Little Rascals (1994)), see also those entries, and Travis Tedford (also in The Little Rascals). Also a cycling scene, but not sure if in shortalls, but I think so. I have to check this again. Rating 3 for now for bib scenes.

Update: Now I have seen the last half of this film. Good children's film, but she is very young. Shortalls are rather beige, she also wears other clothes. The cycling scene is probably with the same shortalls and a jacket over them or in beige shorts. Staying rating 3.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1939)

MGM film, Mickey Rooney as Huck
-Year: 1939
-Year in film: ~1800s
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: Huck 19 ys
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurence: medium ?
-Rating:  3/10
-Rating: ***
-Comment: Mickey Rooney in (according to film cover and publicity stills) worn medium blue bibs. Bib of the overalls seems very small/short. I think I don't have to tell about the plot (see also other Huck Finn entries). I don't know this film, but should be very accurate and close to the novel. Obviously this film is not yet in Public Domain and officially sold on DVD-R. Image quality looks quite good, but I assume medium or fewer bib scenes. There is a color image at cinema.de which looks like a screenshot. Perhaps there is also a colorized version, but most likely this is rather a publicity pic. Roney was 19 ys old and was perhaps the oldest Huck. For bib scenes, rating 3 for now.

Two Bits & Pepper

Family film with 2 girls and horses
-Year: 1995
-Year in film: 1990s ?
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girl Katie? 10 ys
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurence: medium ?
-Rating:  6/10
-Rating: ******
-Comment: At least one girl in blue bibs (I think Rachel Crane, as she has darker hair, or the other girl is Lauren Eckstrom). I don't remember this film or perhaps never seen it. Bt looks like a funny family entertainment (rated PG) with farm/ranch content. I assume medium or fewer bib scenes and not sure if also riding in bibs or even other actors. Girls might look young but they acting clever against kidnappers. I have to check this complete film. Rating 6 for now. Also starring John Piscopo (double role) and Dennis Weaver. Film aka Two Bits and Pepper. Just a short break for those who don't like Huck Finn.

Huckleberry Finn (1974)

MGM musical version
-Year: 1974
-Year in film: ~1800s
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: Huck 16
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: often ?
-Rating:  5/10
-Rating: *****
-Comment: Jeff East (pictured) in worn blue jeans and brown bibs. Similar to musical Tom Sawyer (1973), which is at the beginning of the trailer, see also that entry, where Jeff East also starred next to Johnny Whitaker as Tom Sawyer. I don't remember this film, probably the film Tom Sawyer is better and more famous. Blue bibs on the movie poster looks quite good while sitting, but I assume there are more scenes in brown bibs. Better than black&white versions, but I think there are better films. There are many Tom & Huck films. Musicals are also not the taste for everyone. Rating 5 for now. Film aka "Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn: A Musical Adaptation".

Climax!: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

Anthology series 1954-1958, 166 episodes
-Year: 1955
-Year in film: ~1800s
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: Huck ~15   ?
-Available on DVD: no, download
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: often ?
-Rating:  6/10
-Rating: ******
-Comment: Charles Taylor (pictured) in worn (maybe brown) bibs in episode 2.1. Originally I searched for Huck Finn (1939) and thought this might be in PD and "only" found this later film. Available free for stream or download. At least the streaming version has quite bad image quality. 1 hour including some breaks for presentation. Series aka Climax Mystery Theater. I haven't seen this complete film yet. But I like Huck Finn. Synonymous for a boy's adventure, including barefeet, fishing, smoking, pranks, rafting and dressing like a girl. At least 2 other Huck entries follows. I thought most Huck films have no bibs (except Huckleberry Finn and His Friends (1979) and Huck & the King of Hearts), but I mostly checked Tom Sawyer films with in fact only the 1973 version with bibs (see those entries).

Info 64: Barefoot Movies List

Not directly bib releated, but party, as many farm kids (of the 1930s) were barefooted (like The Waltons). I like this.
On this website which I found by coincidence is a list of 88 films, partly series, partly animated films. Not complete and perfect, but quite interesting. I like Ocean Girl, The Black Stallion and Die rote Zora und ihre Bande (1979). Very few bib films, but perhaps it will be updated and perhaps someone likes it.

http://barefoot-spring.de/barefoot/bf-movies.html

I found this list by searching for Huckleberry Finn (1975) starring Ron Howard which I got as an IMDb recommendation. (I think without bibs). But I also found Huckleberry Finn (1974) starring Jeff East with bibs (also in Tom Sawyer (1973)) and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1939) from the list. The Last Chance Detectives

3 Christian TV kids films
-Year: 1994-1996
-Year in film: 1990s
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girl Winnie ~13-15
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: medium ?
-Rating:  5/10
-Rating: *****
-Comment: A girl in medium blue bibs, I think this must be Crystle Lightning (pictured, slightly better scene in clip) as she is the only girl in the gang with 3 other boys detectives. I found this by watching trailers of the German company who released the "Papa Was A Preacher" DVD. This DVD has the subtitle "Die rätselhaften Spuren" (ep. 2, = film 2, 1995? pictured). There is also an audiobook series. I don't know or don't remember this films, but looks like good kids adventures. I have to check them. Rating 5 for now. Lightning was 14 or 15 in 1996, however the characters should be preteens. Also starring Anthony De Longis.

Adding tag teen girls, removed deleted vid.

Casper Meets Wendy

TV family film with a ghost
-Year: 1998
-Year in film: 1990s
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girl Wendy ~11, other girl
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: medium ?
-Rating:  4/10
-Rating: ****
-Comment: Hilary Duff in red shortalls (pictured and in trailer) and another girl in blue bibs (or shortalls), I don't know her name. Duff was nominated for a Young Artist Award. Film rated PG. I don't remember this complete movie and own only the DVD "Casper: A Spirited Beginning" but I don't think with bib scenes. I assume medium or fewer bib scenes as there are also other actors and she also wears a dress and other clothes. I don't like red shortalls and think there are better movies. Rating 4 for now, but have to check again.

Update: Some better pics. Also more girls. Post exists. Pics now here replaced

Two Soldiers (1985 + 2003)

Short films of brothers in WWII
-Year: 1985, 2003
-Year in film: 1941
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: boys Evan/Willie ~9 + Pete 19
-Available on DVD: yes (remake)
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: often
-Rating:  6/10
-Rating: ******
-Comment: 2 short films (1985 pic left, 30 minutes, Huckleberry Fox, left with Christopher Kowanko) and (2003, pic right, 40 minutes, Jonathan Furr, right with Ben Allison). 2003 film aka "William Faulkner's Two Soldiers" after his short story won an Oscar (for short film). But I don't like this remake. Original film has more and better farm/family setting and I prefer acting of those actors (rating 6-7, remake rating 5-6). Huckleberry Fox also in light blue bibs and shirtless or with sleeveless shirt. Weird plot of the younger brother going to a recruiting station. There is a DVD of the 1985 version, but I don't think that this was officially released yet on DVD (perhaps on VHS?).

Second Chances (1998)

Hallmark drama starring John Amandes
-Year: 1998
-Year in film: 1990s ?
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girls ~10 ys
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurence: medium ?
-Rating:  5/10
-Rating: *****
-Comment: At least 2 or 3 girls in bibs, also at least 1 riding in bibs (pictured below). Girl top left must be Kelsey Mulrooney (A Little Princess, 1995). I don't know this complete film, but looks like a good horse film with bibs. Based upon true story, rated G. Some good and much farm/ranch content. Riding mostly in standard jeans. Girls are very young, so rating 5 for now, but have to check if I have time. Maybe also other actors in bibs (men or even women)? I think a lot of background actors, so it's possible.

Info 63: Update: Papa Was A Preacher

I have updated this entry after watching the DVD.
Sorry, no more girls in bibs, but other (young) boys in shortalls.
As assumed German language only.
I haven't received the novel yet, but I read another book anyway.

The Night They Saved Christmas

TV Christmas film
-Year: 1984
-Year in film: 1980s
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: boys, girl, women, men
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurence: often ?
-Rating:  5/10
-Rating: *****
-Comment: I think Jaclyn Smith (~39 ys) with her film kids in weird snow bibs with big red buttons instead of braces (pictured). Additionally a lot of male and female elves with same beige or red snow bibs or something similar. Nominated for a Primetime Emmy and Laura Jacoby won a Young Artist Award. I have seen this movie many years ago and don't remember it good enough and will check this next broadcasting again. Those tight snowbibs are not so bad, although I prefer real jeans bibs. There are a lot of other Christmas movies. Mostly not with jeans bibs.

A Twist in the Tale (1998)

Mystery TV series hosted by William Shatner, 15 ep.
-Year: 1998-1999
-Year in film: 1990s ?
-Country: USA, NZ
-Who in bibs: girls ~12, boy ~16  ?
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: medium ?
-Rating:  6/10
-Rating: ******
-Comment: Some kids and teens in different bibs, including girl in red bibs (see pics and trailer). I don't know this TV series and don't know the names of the actors. Teen boy must be Dwayne Cameron. Some episodes also features farm contents but but probably not with bibs. Supernatural series featuring ghosts. Seems good. Aka "William Shatner's a Twist in the Tale". Filmed in New Zealand, so maybe also actors from there. I found this by coincidence. 2 episodes à 52 minutes are officially on YouTube (US only).

Update 2017: Now all episodes checked. Some more girls in bibs and bibslike dresses

Charlotte's Web

Family film with a pig -Year: 2006 -Year in film: 2000s ? -Country: USA, Germany -Who in bibs: girl Fern ~ 11 ys, woman, men   -Available on DVD: yes -I own: no -Bib occurence: medium ? -Rating:  5/10 -Rating: ***** -Comment: Dakota Fanning in blue bibs (pictured left, I think also in coveralls), a woman in blue bibs (or shortalls) right with popcorn, a young man in bibs, a man in coveralls and perhaps more, as there are a lot of background actors. Yet another film with talking farm animals. It's not so famous as "Babe", but also good farm content. I don't remember this complete film, but I don't like the actors. I assume medium or fewer bib scenes as Fanning also wearing other clothes. She won a Blimp Award and was nominated for Young Artist  Award and a Critics' Choice Award. Funny family film (rated G). But I have to check. I usually don't like those films with talking animals. Rating 5 for now.

Book 8: Clancy Carlile: Honkytonk Man

As this is my favorite bib film (starring Clint and Kyle Eastwood, see film entry), I also bought the novel recently, which I now have read within 2 weeks (345 pages).

Only 3 short bib scenes, but I assumed that there weren't many.
~Page 60 A man walking in bibs in a pub.
Page 85 The scene as mother allowed her son Whit (14) to drive for the first time whith his uncle. His mother came into his room, just while he changed into new clean bibs. In the film he stands in front of a mirror and she combs his hair. (The wood chopping scene at page 138 is the same, where his mom finally allowed him to drive to Nashville.)
Page 217 in Noxpater described walking men in bibs.

Earlier bibs are not mentioned but it's obvious that they were wearing bibs for working in the cotton field because it's described how he sits in a car in his sunday clothes. There are also men in bibs on the cover.
Unlike other similar novels, this books was published shortly before the film in 1980. Carlile also wrote the screenplay (perhaps the film was already planned?) Also good luck that Kyle has just the right age as Whit.

The book is told from the viewpoint of Whit (in film there is no narration). Good description of farm, the sand storm and the family. Quite exact plot like in the film, but some scenes, are missing in the film or not so detailed or more harmless (like bloody chopping of many snakes in the house and Whit drinking alcohol (he did later in the film) and smoking (tobacco or pot)), and describing cotton picking which he hates.
Whit wanted to go to a hairdresser in Nashville and remembered that his mother used to cut his hair with a bowl on his head. She also asked him when he last changed his undershorts.

The first love scene (starting at page 188) is a bit different and more detailed in the novel. Also dealing of Whit's and uncle's experiences with farm animals. Of course they couldn' t film this love scene so detailed in a PG movie. I also don't want to describe this scene here but it's even better than in the movie.
Some scenes and dialogues are exactly like in the film but mostly the book is more detailed (not only in describing the setting but also additional actions).

Another interesting scene which is not in the film, page 217 before he hides Marlene in the trunk of the car, he had problems to pee next to his granddad because he thought of his first love. It's not described what kind of pants he wears during the trip, but in the film they are not bibs. Also much parts where he thinks of his first love and his body reacts.

The end is close to the film, although some details are missing in the film (perhaps as the film was already almost 2 hours long) So the last chapter, what happened later to Whit and Marlene is not in the film. Also some scenes, especially with Marlene are shortened in the film. In the room in Noxpater he is first alone with her (but not in the same bed).

I like this novel. Good coming of age story and very close to the film. Sadly very few bib scenes, probably as it is normal to wear them in the 30s on a farm.

Info 62: Updates

Recently updated:
-Scattered Dreams (2x updated after completely seen) (teen girl+boys)

Salami Aleikum

Family Film starring Wolfgang Stumph
-Year: 1999
-Year in film: 1990s ?
-Country: Germany
-Who in bibs: Ana ~ 32 ys
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurence: low
-Rating:  3/10
-Rating: ***
-Comment: Anna Böger in blue shortalls in the middle of the film. Yesterday I saw by coincidence parts of this film, but recorded too late. This romance comedy film is about the German woman and a Persian man. Quite funny, but I don't like those films. Reminds me a bit of "East is East" or Türkisch für Anfänger. Few scenes, but I don't saw the rest of the film. I think running or cycling and perhaps also a man in bibs. I found no bibs in trailer of publicity pics. Sorry.

Update:
Now I have seen the first half of it again. Only 2 short scenes with her. And they are shortalls. Very good. But movie is extremely boring. And I still haven't seen the rest of it.
First I thought that I had confound other clothing with bibs as she also wore shirts with blue color. Quite tomboiysh.

Rating 3.

Scattered Dreams

TV drama starring Tyne Daly
-Year: 1993
-Year in film: 1951
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girl ~ 9 +17 , boys ~10, young + old men
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurrence: medium
-Rating:  7/10
-Rating: *******
-Comment: A young girl (either Blair Struble or Lindsay Broockman, but I think Struble, pictured) in blue bibs and sleeveless shirt (looks sometimes shirtless), a young man ~20s, an older man and more in blue bibs (toddler on tricycle, and 2 boys, see below). Many actors at a funfair, there short scenes of a boy ~10 ys (pic bottom) and I think a teen boy cycling. Looks like a very good farm film set in Florida in the 1950s. Film based on a true story, aka "Scattered Dreams: The Kathryn Messenger Story". Also starring Alicia Silverstone (I think pic right). Setting and clothes seem very authentic. Worn bibs, 2 young girls in one bed in underwear. No trailers.
Update: I now have seen this film. 2 more boys ~7,10 ys at a children's home.  But I don't like this film. Few farm scenes. Scenes in jail, children's home court room, but setting and few bib scenes are good.

Bib occurence: young and old men: often
young girl: medium
young boys and teen girl: low

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers

Horror film
-Year: 1988
-Year in film: 1980s
-Country: USA
-Who in bibs: girl Jamie 11 ys
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Bib occurence: low ?
-Rating:  3/10
-Rating: ***
-Comment: I think Danielle Harris in light blue bibs (pictured). 10 and 11 years old and playing a 7 yo. I don't remember this complete film, but assume few or medium bib scenes. Perhaps also other actors in bibs as there are a lot of actors. But I think that I don't like film and bibs. The girl is the niece of Michael Myers who returned after 10 years. Usually I like horror and slasher movies but somehow not the Halloween series. There are better ones like Children Of the Corn (including farm content) or many others. I have to check this again but rating only 3 for now. I don't like very young girls and light blue bibs. I think no bibs in trailer, so don't embed it. Film rated R.

-Comment: A teen girl in blue bibs (pictured) I don't know her name (perhaps Marley Shelton ?). I found this by coincidence as a YouTube recommendation. Film aka "The Lies Boys Tell". Nominated for a Primetime Emmy and rated PG. Novel by Lamar Herrin about a dying man (Douglas). Also starring Jason Hervey (The Wonder Years). Also farm or ranch content. I didn't had time to watch this complete movie and watched only some parts, but I assume few or medium bib content. No trailers. Rating 5 for now but have to check.
Update: Previously rated 5 now 7.
